Chelsea without Hazard is quite poor.
How has it taken until November for people on here to work this out? They're the closest thing to a 1 man team I've seen for a while.

Worst Chelsea team we've played at the Bridge for years the other week.

Many people have said that though.

Media have gone big with it.

Making out they were dreadful under Conte. They won the league ffs, one of the best Chelsea teams under him at one point, they were impossible to score against.

There's definitley a media bias towards managers that are thought to play attacking football.

They don't play much different to how they were under Conte, I stand by it. It's pretty much the same players.

Averaging 3 goals a game now (33 in 11) and outscoring their opponent by 2.64 goals a game, on average. They're so far ahead of everyone else. The table will reflect that soon enough in actual points.
Guardiola's mastered the art of beating the bottom half teams, if they keep it up they might end up with a similar points tally to last season. Still, much rather them win it than Liverpool.

Chelsea simply don't score enough goals for their dominance in games. Will be top 4 but will be some way off the leaders I think.

And as I post that Morata continues his recent goal spree.

Morata starting to score. Expect the Lukaku-Morata thread to be bumped soon.

Every time I watch Palace I’m reminded how terrible Wayne Hennessy is.

He must play well sometimes? He must.

Because this forum gets off on wanking other managers. Arsenal have been utter tosh in multiple games this season getting bailed out by their forwards, yet this forum would have you believe Emery has worked some coaching magic.

Crystal Palace and Watford peppered Arsenal's goal and opened them up at will. They have horrible finishing and then Arsenal has a 10 minute period where their forward scores a goal or two from an unlikely situation and they win.

Arsenal are worse going forward than us, they create less and the quality of chances they create is worse.

You stand by being 100% absolutely wrong then.

The football with Bakayoko, Kante and Fabregas was definitely the same with 5 defenders on the pitch.

It usually says 50%/75% chance of playing if thats the case so I avoid it, but they had him marked as fit to start so that was a waste.
Ahh ye. Sarri did confirm that he wouldn't play the whole.

“Maybe he will not be ready to play for 90 minutes at the moment, because it was the first training in the last two weeks, but probably he will be able to play for 40, 45 minutes.

Got you an assist, though.

Sarri has clearly implemented a different style, I don't know how you think they aren't playing much differently to before.

That said, I do agree they have been overhyped and I don't think they're all that great yet, nor do I think Sarri is doing the best job ever. He has some very good players at the club who were part of a title winning side not long ago, plus Jorginho and Kovacic were bound to improve them. The squad were clearly tired of Conte's methods, so it wasn't as if they were lacking talent .. and even then they weren't far off top four, so it's to be expected that they'd be up there in the top four this season.

He's done well to stamp a new style on them so quickly and they're winning games, a good job all in all. Definitely very reliant on Hazard though.

They are most certainly not the same. Under Conte they were more counter attack.
This season they have the best passing stats in the PL throughout the whole team and much higher possession. There's like four of their players in the top ten for passes. They were playing with bakayoko and drinkwater in the midfield. Now jorginho, kovacic etc. How is it the same? They switch from 3 at the back to 4 at the back. Of course it's different.

That line that the football is the same as under conte just shows you dont watch them play in the slightest and are just being bitter. A 2 year old could see the constrast in football between the two sides.

Kante looks average in this team. Am not sure this type of football is his forte!

That is hopefully the end of Barkley over Kovacic. Kovavic should be starting.
Why, because they happened to score two when he went off, two of which Kovacic didn't have any involvement in?

Ross came on against us and scored. Got his deserved start against Burnley, scoring 1 and assisting two and started today. Not to mention assisting and scoring one the week before against Southampton.

Barkley has been just as good, if not better than Kovacic so far this season.

Can't believe we're only 4 points off top 4  It seems our season has been way worse.

I guess we'll be 7 points off next week though.
