I don't rate Lindelof very highly but if he proves me wrong then i'll happily admit that. Why dont you understand that its good we have both?

Hopefully we get a much more experienced Tuanzebe come back to us for next season. I've liked him for a long time, I do think if given the chance to fight for his place then he'll more than hold his own. Touch wood, he's also not had any major injury issues in his time at Villa. Fingers crossed that our next manager will give him an opportunity in the first team.I am really pleased he is doing so well at Villa, I just have zero confidence in Jose's ability to develop and continue to improve him.
I agree with you, that Tuanzebe is a greater talent than Lindelof. My problem with Tuanzebe and Bailly together are that neither are strong in the air. Also, I have some minor doubts about Bailly, he's a bit too erratic for my taste. And injury prone. The championship is probably a tougher league than the Portuguese league minus the big 3. Can't remember anyone wanting Lindelof either when he was being chased by us.
Tuanzebe along with Bailly could be a promising pairing. Both have fantastic pace, good on the ball and are physically very strong.
I'm very confident that before long many will agree that Tuanzebe is a bigger talent than Lindelof.
I think they're both good enough - I really want us to move away from the idea of needing aerially dominant CBs because currently we have Smalling (who is extremely good in the air) but it doesn't really mean a lot. Teams are currently playing through us, it's not like most goals we concede are long balls and losing out on headers. If you can find an all rounder CB that's great but they're are so few around and they're not very attainable.I agree with you, that Tuanzebe is a greater talent than Lindelof. I would love to be in a position where teams resort to lumping the ball in against us.
Ok...cool. Solid response. We are Manchester United, we should have a CB who is both dominant in the air and good on the ball.
Very good composure on the ball and love how he is passing the ball instead of just clearing it, bringing the ball out of defense. Looks very promising.Tweet

Yep. I normally put on my headphones in case they have commentary, then end up taking them back off again when it has shitty music.Hate the stupid music people put with football clips.
Just don’t have any sound.
Yup, that's a no go under Mourinho.Very good composure on the ball and love how he is passing the ball instead of just clearing it, bringing the ball out of defense. Looks very promising.
I don't think that's the case at all, it's just none of our CB options bar Lindelof and Rojo can actually bring the ball forward.Yup, that's a no go under Mourinho.
Thanks for sharing. He is looking great. Bodes well for a return.Tweet

I was referring to us being a hoofball team dude. What you meant to say Lindelof and Rojo can pass the ball better than the other ones (though I'd add Jones there as well, he can pass it rather well, so can Bailly) but Smalling and Bailly can actually bring the ball forward, they can run with the ball.I don't think that's the case at all, it's just none of our CB options bar Lindelof and Rojo can actually bring the ball forward.
Oh man. My heart jumps in my mouth when Smalling comes out from the back with the ball. He's like Bambi. Decent enough defender but poor with the ball at his feet.I was referring to us being a hoofball team dude. He's actually surprisingly good at bringing it out himself. He just can't make a decent pass at the end of it unfortunately.Oh man. My heart jumps in my mouth when Smalling comes out from the back with the ball. He's like Bambi. Decent enough defender but poor with the ball at his feet.
I was actually a bit worried in the preseason as it looked like he'd gotten so big that he'd lost some of his acceleration. Seemed to be quite slow off the mark a few times. It looks like he's slowing grown into his physique. Used to look really slender, but now he still looks a lot bigger but still very lean. Hope we don't make him do a binge bulk.
Hmmm. I don't feel like he's got total control of the ball. Looks a bit gangly and clumsy. But yeah, he can't play a decent pass forward for shitHe's actually surprisingly good at bringing it out himself. He just can't make a decent pass at the end of it unfortunately.
You rate Tuanzebe and Lindelof but in the Phil Jones thread, they're both not good enough according to you. Mourinho apologist exposed .So no other PL team wanted him on loan? He is in the Championship because he has things to learn. Again, we have no idea how he would handle playing at LCB. I rate Tuanzebe but I rate Lindelof as well.
They are not good enough yet. It’s not that difficult to understand. I can rate someone and not think they are a top CB at this very moment. You rate Tuanzebe and Lindelof but in the Phil Jones thread, they're both not good enough according to you. Mourinho apologist exposed .
You said "none of our CBs are good enough" your idol Mourinho obviously thinks Lindelof is good enough. They are not good enough yet. It’s not that difficult to understand. I can rate someone and not think they are a top CB at this very moment.
The fact that you had to throw in the comment about "idol" means this is the end of this conversation, I cant take you serious. You said "none of our CBs are good enough" your idol Mourinho obviously thinks Lindelof is good enough.
I never took you seriously, someone who is so blinded by defending a manager who plays shit football and has us battling with Bournemouth and Everton can't be taken seriously. The fact that you had to throw in the comment about "idol" means this is the end of this conversation, I cant take you serious.
Your argument is flawed. Mourinho is looking to upgrade his CBs and would rather not play the likes of Jones and Rojo but then lets a 'better' CB in Tuanzebe go out on loan. That is just ridiculous. There is simply no benefit for Mourinho or do you think Mctominay is that good is why Mourinho plays him?@cheeky_backheel
Calum Chambers and Zouma are prem proven so I can somewhat understand Fulham and Everton going for them over someone like Tuanzebe who they know very little about. Tuanzebe would've been better than Chambers for Fulham imo. TFM has been deployed as a fullback and his time on loan hasn't been great. At Palace he had a good start then spent large spells on the sidelines due to Wan Bissaka's emergence. TFM seems to have stagnated in his development.
One of the reasons Tuanzebe went to Villa was due to our championship winning captain Steve Bruce being there. Tuanzebe really didn't need a loan because the CB's we had at the club weren't exactly great. Tuanzebe imo is better than Rojo, Jones and Lindelof right now.
Mourinho bought Lindelof for £35m hence had to favour the Swede over Tuanzebe. Tuanzebe is just as good as Lindelof on the ball has better acceleration and is physically stronger. If we had LVG still in charge I'm pretty sure he'd be in the first team squad right now. Tuanzebe was more than good enough to be part of the squad because the competition at CB at our club is poor.
If we still had Rio and Vidic I'd understand Tuanzebe being on loan, but it doesn't surprise me one bit with Mourinho.
Don't ever use your eyes to judge a player but look at why he's on loan in the championship. Point towards McTominay who has never been considered a big talent by regular youth team observers and it's ridiculous how such a limited player is part of the first team.. Are you struggling to break down Tuanzebes game in comparison to our other CBs?Your argument is flawed. Mourinho is looking to upgrade his CBs and would rather not play the likes of Jones and Rojo but then lets a 'better' CB in Tuanzebe go out on loan. That is just ridiculous. Mourinho has given playing time to many young defenders including Varane, Santon and Zouma while LvG is more known for converting midfielders into defenders to fit his total football philosophy. Even looking at the recent signing of Dalot which is another evidence that Mourinho will not shy away from young talent. Mourinho is probably the best manager at developing young CBs (attacking talent is on the other end of the spectrum)
The idea that Tuanzebe is currently better than any of our CBs (as bad as some of them are) is just outrageous. The objective evidence is in the lack of interest from other clubs. Even for the NT, Tuanzebe hasnt had a single senior call up and has only one for the U-21 and didnt make the squad for the recent toulon tournament. Is that also Mourinho?
Besides fan delusions, there is no other evidence that suggests that Tuanzebe is at the level to play for us yet and he should remain on loan (or sold with buyback clause) until he is able get regular minutes in our rotation. He has talent but needs playing time to develop.
this is not only Mourinho's opinion as I have laid out multiple arguments (no senior NT cap, only 1 cap for U21, no PL loan only championship) but you have not provided a single evidence of why a player on loan at a championship club is currently better than all our CBs (all with multiple senior caps and some were at WC).Don't ever use your eyes to judge a player but look at why he's on loan in the championship. Point towards McTominay who has never been considered a big talent by regular youth team observers and it's ridiculous how such a limited player is part of the first team.. Are you struggling to break down Tuanzebes game in comparison to our other CBs?
Your reasoning is flawed hence you're struggling to acknowledge that Tuanzebe has better attributes than quite a few of our current CB's. Mourinho has made plenty of feck ups. Salah and De Bruyne were two huge ones at his previous club.
