I was in fact thinking of Hughes but he has flopped in management so he would be the wrong choice even as interim manager. What, you mean NOT Mark Hughes?
I read yesterday that Inter Milan was willing to offer him a contract as they are looking for a new manager. One of the two clubs could possibly be the next club of Mourinho.Maybe he's going to Madrid so there is no comp to pay
No but a new manager will hopefully bin the lot of them off and bring in some quality players that form a coherent teamQuite gutted truth be told, I thought he'd give it everything to get us back to the top, showing he's still a world class managed. Was give a 3 year contract to build the club up again and wasn't fully backed in the summer (within his original contract), we are in a poor state from top to bottom, this isn't just Mourinho at fault, the players have been shocking also and struggle with things that are a given as a professional footballer, like passing a football to a teammate.
A new manager won't make the likes of Lukaku, Lingard, Fellaini, Jones, Rojo and Matic brilliant players and that's 3/4 of a football teams spine.
This. I hate the fact the players (and agents) had so much power but Mourinho did himself no favours in the end. He created enemies at the club on what seemed liked a daily basisPlayer power wins out.
I couldn't defend Jose in the end though.
The fans won't be forgiving if they don't step it up now.More dabbing I guess.
Should have been McKenna.
So long they are clean - no skid marks please!Party in my pants. You’re all invited
Because the Saudis want their own man when they take over in the summerDon't agree with Carrick being given the reigns until end of the season? why not search for a new guy right now there is still plenty of football left.
I know what you're trying to say and I agree they'll share a lot of duties - but one has to be more senior than the other as otherwise it won't work.If it's Carrick it will be by name, I think both of them will share the duties
Because the quality of candidate currently available is piss poor. We should wait and sound out some proper managers over the next couple of months and be sure to get it right. Rushing will only result in having to fire someone again in a couple of seasons.Disagree. If someone at your work quits or is fired, do you randomly wait until the summer? This is a mistake I think we made when appointing Mourinho, why wait until the summer? We're not talking about signing a player outside of a window here. Why not pick the new man and get him an extra 4 months with the players rather than going into the first window cold? Feel like waiting until the summer is wasting an opportunity.
This, I understand things have been bad, but he seemed like the right man for the job and did a good job by finishing second last year.Gutted it didn’t work out for him...I really thought he’d do well here. Thanks for the couple of trophies. Had to go.
Yeah of course he would!! I was not being serious.I was in fact thinking of Hughes but he has flopped in management so he would be the wrong choice even as interim manager.
Yeah right. The fans won't be forgiving if they don't step it up now.
Sure an improvement might not happen overnight, but they've got their wish - now they need to respond.
Another past-it manager? Have you learned nothing from the LVG and Mourinho years?I want Wenger if we can't get our first choice in mid-season...why ?
1) He is French (Martial and Pogba would probably be happy)
2) He always gets his teams to C.L - but never win trophies. I ll gladly take that now
3) He seems to be genuinely loved by his players
4) He always gets his teams to play attacking football
Ok - I am not 100% serious - but it might not be a bad idea
