Trying the same thing again and again and expecting different results led to his own demise.

I think it'll be Poch in the summer. I know the Spurs lads here disagree and plenty of United fans see him as out of reach because Spurs are ahead of us right now, and maybe they're right. New stadium, pretty well run club, whereas we've been a bit of a shambles of late.

But, no matter what, Spurs can't realistically challenge City. They can't match their spending long term. Poch may win a league if he was to stay at Spurs for another ten years. He may have spurs in the Champions League every year, but he won't pass City as the dominant club.

At United, he could. If we got things right above the manager, we could and perhaps should be the ones to fight City for the title, year in, year out. For me, the lure of that, even though it's a big risk because right now, we're miles behind Spurs, would be too much for Poch, in my opinion. And it is just my opinion, Glaston and the boys could be 100% right that he'd never dream of leaving Spurs for us. I just think we're too much of a draw, if we made a major play for him.

If he is the best current candidate, and I believe he is, then we should be doing everything to convince him to come by the summer (he won't leave mid season). That work has to start now, if it hasn't already been ongoing for several months, but we also need to address the utter shambles that is our first team squad. Clearly there are several players that are not Utd standard, not even for the bench, and need to be moved on. For this we need a DoF in place asap and I think Utd have made significant progress with this and we should hear something in few weeks.

Worse than van Gaal and Moyes for me. His nonestop shitting on the club and acting like a child because he didn't get his way means, regardless of trophies won for us and whatnot, I won't be thanking him for anything. Good riddance.
Yep - first season was shit in terms of actual football. But he did bring back some swagger and arrogance, so fairs fair. But the last 14 months has been utter shite, capped by his shitty smug arrogant self, squatting in a hotel and chucking players under the bus every week.

When Moyes and LvG were sacked I was sad, but confident it was the right decision.

This time, I'm fecking giddy with excitement.

He will need probably a year to create a team equal to or a bit better than this Spurs team. That is, he might not be able to challenge for the title soon. But who would be able to so?

Pogba posted a picture of himself ten minutes ago with a smirk on his face and wrote, “captions?”

He’s deleted it now
If he really did that then just goes to show what an idiot he is. I'm a mourinho supporter but he did really have to go. Doesn't mean you go and rub it in. The way Pogba played contributed to him going. Horrible when player power wins over, especially in this day and age when players get paid fkloads to be professional.

Hopefully this means Pogba is out of the doghouse for Saturday

And hopefully this move hasn't come too late into the season to salvage something

Give it Zidane till the end of the season. Park a bucket load of cash on his front lawn and get Cantona in as an assistant. At least we'll be entertained!

Evra, Seriously? I love the guy to bits but he was licking a raw chicken hard on Instagram just a couple of weeks back.

Once they didn't back him they had to sack him. Incompetence by Woodward no doubt.

Aye, he's gone. Hopefully the Utd fans are less divided now.
Agreed.
As for divided and not I wouldn't be surprised if we saw name calling in the next few days.

We’re in free fall either way, it can’t possibly get any worse. Keeping Jose in this position is just spreading the disease further.
totally agree but it just shows the lack of planning at the club, it's off the cuff management, like an episode of the apprentice. Scary for the long term future of the club with those sorts of people running it.

He cant even challange for the league with the team he has now, which is better than ours. How on earth is he going to ever win it with this garbage team we have?

Hope, We Lose
I think he's the clear candidate in the premier league, however I don't think he's necessarily a manager that will get us competing with Klopp and Guardiola. But I am sure that we'd play better football and look more like a title challenging team than we have under Mourinho.

I sincerely hope we have a proper recruitment and interview process this time. Let managers apply and sell the board their ideas.

The last 3 have seemingly been appointed with no interview. This is ridiculous for any company.

If Eddie Howe has a clear vision for this team, don’t let his lack of stardom stand in the way.

What we’re clearly going to do is appoint the biggest name who is available, no matter how out of date they are.

I don't hold this view. I think zidane is the one to manage these set of players.

Delighted with this!!! I've never been apathetic about this club, but over the last few months I've been close to it because of him. No buzz about the games, just not up for them. So glad he's gone. Would still be happy to see Pogba go.

To be fair, he usually leaves a good squad behind him. We have a good squad, they're just low on confidence.
