Pogba and Martial are obvious shouts, they’ve been incredible but we all knew they were extremely talented players hampered by a defensive minded manager.

For me, Herrera has been a standout candidate. I’m watching the Fulham game again and he’s so important in the midfield for us. He keeps it simple when needed, gives it to the defence when needed but also is intelligent enough to press and get forward when the opportunity arises.

What say you, RedCafe?

There's been a few, hard to pick. Pogba is obvious, Matic has improved by a similar factor maybe. Lindelof showed some quality during Jose's last few games too and he's up there for me. Herrera has been as good as we all knew he could be.

Yeah Matic is a good shout. He’s like a new player.

As mentioned above, Pogba, Martial Herrera, Matic and Lindelöf have all been excellent, but if I had to choose it would be one of Pogba or Rashford.

Our midfield trio. It is nice to see after fecking 5 years midfield which works great. Dominant, creative, good in defence, good in possession, good in counter attacks.

And special mention goes to Lindelof. What a player he is now!

Pogba. Hands down.

Martial too. Herrera has always been an absolute lad.

Been a few really but not to just pick the obvious of Pogba,Martial or Rashford but I think for me it has to be Lindelof or Shaw. The other 3 are kinda a given.

Pogba recently though, god damn...

Still

1. De Gea, cause he wins matches all by himself.
2. Pogba, no explanation needed.
3. Ole, as supersub just one more time in the CL final

Yea Herrera is so good and so important to the team. Able to control the play and retain the ball.

For me though Martial. Wonder goal today, but he looks a different player. Probably would have left if Mourinho stayed.

The team <3

If i had to pick one, Rashers. Academy products and this club have something about them, our boy wonder.

Pogba, Rashford and Martial go without saying, but after them Lindelof would be my fourth. He’s really blossoming into some player, when he didn’t look a fraction this good under Mourinho. He’s finally showing the ball playing ability we heard about, and he’s been rock solid in our more forward thinking system.

Herrera is my fave.
He basically plays the R.Keane role - box to box midfielder general, with lots of energy.
Take him out of the team and it's like someone has removed the engine.
He didn't play against Burnley and the result was a narrow, last gasp, draw.

Lindeloif was already playing very well under Jose and has continued that form, under Ole.
He got voted on this forum for MOTM in some games, under Jose, this year.

Lindelof, Matic and Herrera.

That’s without the obvious three.

He didn’t look this good and he most definitely was not this proficient on the ball under Jose.

Easily Rashford.

Premier League Player of the month for January says it all.

I love the fact that his Sky Sports lineup picture is him holding the badge on his shirt. None of this preening or posing nonsense. Just United through and through.

No favourites at all. It's been a real team effort from front to back. Pogba, Rashford
, Martial leading from the front. Herrera and Matic the solid base. Lindelof commanding the defence, DDG as good as ever.

Rashford is number 1 for me, showing what great forward he will be. Pogba has been spectacular at times but Ander has been solid and allowed him to play. Plenty others have been good. Just a couple that have been less impressive but there is still alot of games left until the end of the season.

Difficult to single out one player. My choice however isn't necessarily the best player because that would be Pogba of course. For me it must be Herrera. Hope he gets into that Spanish midfield cos he feckin deserves it!

In terms of the improvement of performance, it just has to be Pogba. Incredible how a simple tactical shift can unleash such a player. Gary Neville still seems to bang on about how Mourinho is one of the best of all time, but how could such a good manager restrict such a great footballer? Not only restrict, but put him on the fecking bench?! Allowing the side to attack in numbers allows Pogba to come alive and not just be a 90m water carrier. The guy is unplayable. Physically he is matched by no one, and his technique is just ridiculous. best player in the league right now IMO.

Herrera is a joy to watch too, when he's pressing and charging all over the place. There's just something so satisfying about pressing high and forcing a goalkeeper/defender to slice a clearance out for a throw. Something we rarely saw under Jose. That just wasn't his game, yet it's just so damn effective. Herrera is a massive part of that. He needs a new contract.

The past two months might be the first time I've seen Anthony Martial smile. It's great to see him enjoying football. Even when he runs the ball out, he's allowed to take risks and try things and not be a glorified left back, and he doesn't look miserable doing it.

And Rashford, obviously. Great to see him as a 9 and coring goals regularly. Great goals too.

Pogba is our best player, and he's showing his potential under Ole, but I always want Rashford to score. Both products of the youth team, but Rashford is a local kid and has been here since the beginning and seems like such a nice kid. I like all our players really...

No love for Lingard here. Quite conspicuous in his absence on this thread, and rightly so.

Pogba is just laughably good. He’s streets ahead of the opposition.

Like today, at times it was like watching boys try to take the ball off a man.

Unbelievable player.

Think I'll go for Matic. He's a completely transformed player from what he was in December. Love his runs with the ball and his passing (with pace on the ball) between the lines.

Herrera. Always loved him but he's showing his ability again under Ole. Plays for the shirt.

Lindelöf. I truly thought money wasted again. What is the difference? Is it someone believing in him? Is it Herrera's presence? Oles drive for winning can make champions out of these bunch. In most cases in football, you don't need to have a special philosophy or tactic to be successful, all that matters is the mentality you instill in your team. Make them into fighters and they will be champions. After that the challenge becomes a hunger maintenance for continued success.

We have around 5 players who improved massively IMO,
1-Paul
2-Marcos
3-Herrera
4-Matic
5-Lindelof
