You think that we can prevent PSG from scoring tonight?
At OT, they scored 2. In Paris (without Pogba, Matic, Herrera), I expect them to score more than 2.
They scored one from a corner where Matic lost his man and one where Bailly was too slow (Mbappe was too quick) to react. Apart from that they only had one real chance where DDG saved from Mbappe. Seeing as how we have our full strength defense, I'm not unduly worried about PSG giving us a pasting. Its scoring that is going to be the problem. And being a gloomy gus even before the match has started doesn't help anyone.

Just checked - bookmakers give a 17x coefficient on Man Utd to qualify for the next round. Isn't seventeen times a bit high?

I have few euro on us making it to next round and I also think it’s a bit high, but then again - everything suggests we will be out tonight, so it’s a very long shot. I remain hopeful, though

I've got a full house at work tonight so won't be able to watch live:( I've got high hopes for us tonight because frankly PSG are the ones with the pressure tonight, they need to rise to the world's expectations of comfortably seeing us off... That gonna happen! We've got fringe players tonight playing in their biggest game in years and all we have to do is rise to it and score first.

    Come on you reds
    Come on you reds
Keep your bottle don't lose your heads
90 minutes are left to go
We're Man Utd here we go!

The first goal is going to be vital in this game. For us game on... for them game over. Come on United!

Have you measured the task in hand? No team has ever overturned a 2 goal deficit from the first leg at home. United are without most of the first choice midfielders/attackers. PSG are formidable at home, you don't just go there and beat them by 2+ goals.

We will be lucky to get a draw on the night, never mind beating them by 2 goals which will require a monumental effort. 17/1 gives an implied probability of 5.5% which still sounds a lot if you look at the circumstances.

It's pretty incredible that in the Champion's league, no team has ever overturned a 2 goal deficit. I get that it's a big lead, but not insurmountable in any way. I was really surprised to read this.

This is going to be tough to watch i feel. If we could get a draw it would be decent. They are going to be all over us i feel.

It would be very tough game even with all the injured/suspended players available. Not sure how OGS will actually approach this game, his team practically picks itself due to a lack of numbers. DDG might be in a for busy evening, but I think probably the most United fans can ask is the players go out and give a good account of themselves.
To qualify tonight would be nothing short of miraculous, an early goal for United with some stout defending might set the cat amongst the pidgeons.

Rain in Paris isn't exactly rare, it's not the south of France.

Away from home that is. Home teams manage to do it every now and then. PSG 4-0 Barca and then 6-1 return leg for example.

Winning away in Europe is extremely difficult, never mind winning by a two goal margin. Fergie acknowledged this and always set out to keep a cleanie in away legs. Manage that and 70 % of the job in the tie is done.

It was said in jest. People claim Manchester as the place with the most rain ever despite itself being not even in the top 5 wettest places in the UK. For some reason people associate rain with Manchester.

    ---------------------De Gea------------------------

    Young-----Smaling----------Lindelöf-------Shaw

    ---------------Perreira----McTominay------------

    -----------------------Fred-----------------------

    Dalot----------------Lukaku---------Rashford--

I think we'll probably see this tonight, either as a 4-3-3 as shown, or a 4-4-2 diamond with Fred behind Lukaku & Rashford with Dalot maybe slipping back into midfield

Problem is that the bench will be weak, no one reliable to bring on to change the game or give us an edge. It will be defenders and the kids who haven't played in the CL before.

90mins of Young aimlessly punting the ball up the pitch instead of passing. Great. To be honest, not much hope. If we get the first goal, great. Cant see where its going to come from, unless its Lukaku or a jammy Smalling set piece.

True, but the idea is probably that it fits PSG's way of playing worse. That they get harder to control the game and that it increases our chances when their ball skill is disturbed by worse conditions on the pitch.

Its incorrect. 2 goal deficits have been overcome. What hasnt been done is coming back after losing by 2 at home

    Correct!
We came back from 2-0 down under Moyes against Olympiakos (RVP Hattrick). It's just that its never been done when you've lost your home leg.

I’m excited for this now, had a busy day thankfully so not much time to think about it.
Nerves are kicking in now similar feeling of optimism as going into the first leg.

I really hope we can get a first half goal

My day hasn't been busy at all, so unfortunately that's all I've been thinking about all day , hoping for a bit of luck and some jammy goals/decisions.

That bench is terrible. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ole as one of the subs.
