It was. It probably shouldn't be the case that it is, but it is.

It was. I can't say I knew the new guidance until the commentator brought it up but under that rule it's a clear penalty.

The arm was slightly extended, thus helping the player from preventing the ball to be on target, which would’ve been the case if he hadn’t extended his arm. Given that it was also his lower arm that was hit, I’d say it’s a penalty.

I think it is handball rule that needs clear clarification rather than anything else.

The actual rules of handball have over time turned to myth and legend. No one knows the original tomes on which the sacred guidelines regarding handball were written.

Honestly, I'd say, never ever a pen. Elated that he gave it though. If I were a PSG fan (speaking of myths, do these creatures even exist?) Id be fuming though.

A bit soft but it's karma for Kimpembe, should have been sent off at OT.

In my opinion 100% yes.

A player isn’t entitled to stop the ball unlawfully and the only way he was stopping that was turning himself and flinging his arm up.

The referee has no responsibility to allow a play to chuck himself in front of the ball regardless.

It wasn’t straight at his arm and only hit him as he tried to make himself big and jump into the block.

Plus the shitebag turned away from it so he deserves all he gets.

Definite penalty!

Yes. 100%. I was screaming penalty since i saw it, enough evidence
Didn't even notice it was in the box, thought Dalot wanted a free kick and I was mulling over who would take a free kick that was better than getting a corner.

Everyone in Polish studio here has no doubts it was. Second replay was enough to be fair.

I wouldn't have given it, it was not a deliberate handball in my eyes.
I don't know about the new rules but I'm not a fan of calling a handballs a foul unless the defender moves his arm towards it or kept it out when he had time to move it in

I liked the fact it was the same guy that was the turning point in the first leg. Should have been suspended and not on the pitch.

Seen them given. Seen them not given. 40-60 in favor of it not being a pen. Depends on how you interpret “hand in an unnatural position” I guess.

It's borderline for me. He's made himself as big as he can and the ball has hit his arm as a result, so yeah I can see why it's given.

Would be fecking livid if that was given against us mind.

Soft pen, I fully understand why it was given, but surely the path of the ball should come into play too?

But on the other hand; fecking amazing! I'm glad it happened to him of all people (well Di Maria would of sufficed too), shouldn't of even been on the pitch for his goal in the first leg.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
The ball was heading into the goal before it was deflected … hand ball all day long.

The BT pundits arguing with the professional ref is ridiculous!

I recently read that Hargreaves has already had more appearances as a pundit than he had as a professional player. When he say's things like "I wish they'd consult with more players before making these rules up"

Who'd have thought that Lineker would be the only positive person in that bunch of ex-United players?

Even BeIn said it was a penalty...it was a penalty, he wasn't too close to Dalot and the hand blocked the shot. Fortunate? Absolutely but it was the correct decision.

It happened to Kimpembe who should have been sent off early in the first game. Karma is beautiful.
