Dortmund didn't even deserve to win but somehow fluked incredibly important and really late 3 points against Wolfsburg whereas Bayern missed a trillion huge chances and only tied. This matchday could be the decisive turning point.

Paco Alcacer will be an instant legend if they win the league, can't keep count with the amount of late winners he's scored.

Dortmund will actually need to start playing football for the first 90 minutes of the game in order to win the title though. If they play like this against Bayern they'll get humiliated.

Dortmund are weird. Yeah, they are usually bottlers, but they win many games in the dying minutes so they never give up.

.....and Dortmund go to Bayern next too. Hope they smash them. Chance to go 5 pts clear with only 6 games left.

Sadly, I can easily see Bayern displaying all their medals and ego and smashing Dortmund, knocking them out of the title race.
True. But they could just as easily be on the wrong end of a result too. They haven't exactly been dominant this season have they? Could see Dortmund getting a draw.

It has little to do with being bottlers or mentality imho. Dortmund just lack attacking quality at the moment.
-Diallo (CB) and Wolf (good athlete, but not a good footballer) as fullbacks
-Guerreiro is used as a "wide" attacker, but that's not his natural role and thus he always occupies the half spaces or center, leaving the wing for one of the limited full backs.
-Delaney is great in transitions, but not so good when it comes to unlocking a tight defense.
-Alcacer tries to link up play and does some flicks/one-touch stuff, but he doesn't really have aerial presence or hold-up play
-not that I would hold it against him given his age, but Sancho has some quiet games from time to time, such as today. I wouldn't say he was especially bad, but he didn't really really create a lot of opportunities or space.

I feel like Götze is the only one who is consistently productive in these games, given that Dortmund's FBs are so limited and Guerreiro really is more of a CM it's fairly easy for teams to neutralize Dortmund by closing the center, because the FBs don't have the footballing ability to exploit space out wide. So in the end Dortmund have to find some beautiful combination through the occupied center (Götze, Guerreiro), a moment of individual brilliance from Guerreiro or success via a corner/FK, none of which can really be forced.

Depth is also an issue in these situations. JBL is too limited on the ball to be useful in these situations, Pulisic has been selfish and dreadful most season and Dahoud hasn't improved on his consistency at all and seems out of favour because of it. They lack risk taking dribbler, to force things as an impact sub.

Bayern will have and want to attack though, so it'll be a completely different game next week. Bayern as favourites will most likely dominate possession, but they will have to leave some space for Dortmund's attackers..

For a lot of your players it's also the first title race that they are consistently starting. Inconsistency is to be expected.

Impressive from Leipzig. Konate, Haidara and Adams look excellent. Poulsen is having a very good season, as well.

Really unlucky for Kovac and Bayern that Hummels was uncharacteristically slow that moment.

I guess it was indeed a penalty, but it's sad to see Heidenheim go to such a school boy mistake after fighting bravely.

Rashica (who?) has been great for them lately.
Now Klaassen with the 2-0
