Can blame players all you want. Yes, they're not good enough, but regardless of personnel, Ole's imprint should be visible on the team. We play extremely deep, we don't press or close down (and when we do, it's extremely slow). Our best CB is played as a RB (yes, we have an injury crisis, but he offers no threat down that side, could play Smalling or Jones there instead).

Terrible decision hiring him full time so early.

Our team is not worse than Wolves, Everton etc. Yet they play better football than we do. I'd go as far as saying Bournemouth and Southampton on occasion play far better football than we do. This is the signs of a manager who has lost the early buzz and has now regressed to his regular level. Wasn't the choice to take us forward.

One thing I do look forward to though is his potential in making signings. He would know what kind of player we would need.

I really don't think Ole's up to the task here. This is a massive rebuilding job....

Our issues go much deeper than the manager. We won’t compete again until the Glazers and Woodward are gone. Nobody at the upper echelons of the club know the slightest thing about running a football club, so we can switch managers until the cows come home and nothing will change.
Exactly which is why we need to bring out the green & gold again. Should have started a protest against these stupid feckers long time ago but we do nothing.

Just proves when in bad form Solskjaer does not know how to turn it around. It can't be all on the players. This is just as bad as Mourinho football.

I'll admit I'm slightly worried now.
Me too.

Yes the players are crap. But we saw Klopp and Peps intent on how to play when they first came to play even though the players weren’t up to it.

We don’t seem to have a clue and he needs to drop De Gea.

If he takes us to 6th, it means he has performed as a caretaker manager should. Whole point of giving him the permanent deal is him overperforming, but a 6th place finish with 2 wins in recent 8 games (so far) isn't overperforming.

Has shown tactical naivety, though he is hamstrung by the squad. Also indulges Rashford too much.

Shouldn't have been given the job on form, the reason why it's important to have waited until the end of the season is due to it being a logical process vs an emotive one. We are finished, I cannot see Ole turning this around when with investment.

He'll resign next season. Club won't have the heart to sack him and fans won't publically clamour for it

Someone please tell me why Ed Woodward seems to be escaping blame this time around. He s overseen years of poor decision making both on and off the pitch...not to mention we STILL don't have a DoF.

There's no playing style to sustain possession like the other modern managers. I don't need to see a playing style being successful this early, I just need to see an attempt at one, heck even a failed attempt would give me some confidence

This shit orchestrated Moyes, LVG's and Mou's end. They know that they are not good enough and will not get a better contract elsewhere. If Ole isn't ruthless by bringing some huge personnel changes then they will get him sacked. Its either him or they.

Well we’re on to the 4th manager now and it’s still garbage. How many managers do we need to go through? How do you see Klopp doing with this team?

Realistically we should never have appointed him before the end of the season before we knew all the facts. Horrendous run of results under his leadership now, getting the form back looks to be a nigh impossible task right now.

So sack Ole now...then what?
Not saying sack him at all. But you can’t say it’s all Ole when everything is going great and it’s all on the players when it isn’t.

It’s both. In fact it’s more than that, it’s the whole structure of the club.

This.

We don't seem to be carrying tactics & no matter the performances I saw this from every manager even if the performances were rubbish.

Said it before he was made permanent, there was no need to fix what wasn't broken. Let them all see out the season and assess in the summer. It was a rushed decision and the club didn't need to blink first.

He needs to do more than just not be Mourinho. That worked for a little bit to lift the spirits of certain players, but what has he got in his locker when the going gets tough?

I'm desperate for him to be the right man, but I'm not at all convinced he is.

It's the same old cycle again , we will waste more money and one more season before sacking him next season. Anyone can see it

We should never have hired a permanent manager before the end of the season. I know some fans were and still are clamouring for everything to be sorted before the end of the season. But that was and is stupid. A short sighted decision that could come back to haunt us. The board wanted a quick win, they got it but it'll cost us.

Who replaces him mate? And who does better with this squad?

Serious question.
For starters, any of the current top 6 managers (maybe not Sarri) get more out of these players. The likes of Allegri, Ancelotti, heck even Eddie Howe sets his teams up to play the way we as fans demand and has much more experience in this league than Ole has.

I’ll ask you a question, who hires Ole in this league or any of the other top leagues around Europe if we don’t? I’ll answer it for you. No one.

We were not going to make top four either way after Mourinho wrecked our season. So, more blame have to go to Mourinho than Ole.

However, Ole should have taken advantage of the performance we had during the honeymoon period and since it was over, he has been unable to motivate these players to put on similar shift.

I m not glad to say I was right, but United should have been more cautious with Ole’s appointment. Is it too late to get Erik ten Hag, his staff and Edwin Van Der Sar? Pochettino most likely would not come if we are playing Europa league. The problem with Ole is that, he doesn’t have the right philosophy to move us forward and it may be a risk to have him identify the players we need to rebuild United.

When will people realise it’s the players?
At the end of Mourinhos reign, it was definitely the manager. When Ole was first appointed, it was DEFINITELY Jose. Now that Pogba has stopped showing up, its definitely the players. This place needs to make its mind up. Realistically, what do you expect from the man who got Cardiff relegated and the former manager of Molde?
