Sad Getafe can't even sell out v Real Madrid, poor considering the amazing season they've had.

Yeah, I remember their season in the Europa League about ten years back. The attendances for those games were so bad that they reckon the club made hardly any money from being in the competition. A bit different now of course, especially if they get that CL place.

Exciting race for the 4th CL spot in Spain.

Getafe won the H2H vs Sevilla.
Valencia won the H2H vs both Sevilla and Getafe.

Getafe 55 pts
Real Sociedad A
Girona H
Barcelona A
Villareal H

Sevilla 55 pts
Girona A
Leganes H
Atletico Madrid A
Athletic Bilbao H

Valencia 52 pts
Eibar H
Huesca A
Alaves H
Valladolid A

Valencia has the easiest schedule, but still play the EL SF and the CdR final.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid most likely have nothing to play for on Matchday #37, when they face Getafe and Sevilla.

It really could happen: the club with a budget a 16th the size of Barcelona’s, with the third lowest average attendance in La Liga, the team that Bordalás picked up less than three years ago, at risk of relegation from Spain’s second division, could be on their way to the Champions League. Even if they don’t get there, they’ll take a European place – a colossal achievement.
Depending on what happens to Barcelona (if they win the treble), surely José Bordalás should win the coach of the year award

Not sure if anyone other than @giorno with Depor follows Segunda but have to say Osasuna have caught my eye. They are well clear in 1st after late win today. They started the season with just 3 wins from their first 11 games so been on amazing run since.

Wonder who else people would like to see come up. Current top 8 is:

1. Osasuna
2.Granada
3.Albacete
4. Mallorca
5. Cadiz
6. Malaga
7.Deportivo La Coruna
8. Oviedo

Top 2 goes up and then think the play off system goes down to 7th but could be wrong on that. Would like to see Oviedo make a late run and come up as they haven't been in La Liga since 2001 so prefer to see teams who haven't played in La Liga for a long time rather than recent ones like Granada and Malaga.

Mallorca coming up would be good aswell, great destination to watch football and they had fantastic teams in late 90s/early 00s that competed very well in europe.

Osasuna looks like a lock already, hope for Depor and Mallorca for the other 2 spots.

Why are Barcelona not resting more players before Liverpool? It's certain they will get 3 points from their 3 last games.

Are cameras inside dressing rooms a regular thing in La Liga now? Seen it in the last two games so can see premier league wanting to bring that in next TV deal.

So good to hear Gerry Armstrong doing co-comms on La Liga again, like the good old days on Sky.

Who's that? what channel?

I like the guy from Bein Sports USA for la liga games.
ITV 4.

Anyone who's a fan of Ray hudson should get an automatic ban on here. Sorry but the guy is a fraud.

Edit: Who's that? He scored the goal that knocked Spain out of 82 world cup for Northern Ireland (one of the most famous results in their history) and Mallorca signed him straight after the tournament.

Was Sky's co commentator on La Liga for years,.

I feel sorry for the people who can't enjoy the ridiculousness of Ray Hudson's commentary.

Big fan of Gerry Armstrong though.

Of course Messi but Dembele was great in the build up - his dribbling and pace on the counter adds a much needed extra dimension to this Barcelona team.

How many times does Messi have to put Dembele in a good position and this game keeps fecking up. He's lucky he plays for Barca and is surrounded by greatness. He's as inconsistent as most of ours.

He's got no end product though.
