Bollocking about fluently.
Does seem like he's just trying to test all his players to get a feel for who should be kept. Only explanation I can come up with seeing the likes of Bailly back in there.

I mean that makes sense rather than him just thrown darts at a board and randomly selecting players.
Yeah he's been experimenting getting to know the squad he's inherited testing out the players - that's what it looks like to me at least - which is a necessary evil for figuring out what needs fixing and how to best fix it. I just hope he's grown wiser from this process because it's been awfully painful to watch - and if we manage top four despite this being a period of much needed trials and errors then that would be quite a fantastic bonus.

Who's he supposed to pick then?:lol::lol:

At least wait to see how the game goes before the meltdown begins
How about our best players? Scott Mctominay over Matic, smalling over Bailly. Young is shocking!! Lukaku does nothing.

No meltdown from me, yet.. but it's not the first match with a poor starting lineup. This is the biggest game of the season with and there should be no resting players. We have Cardiff and huddersfield as our last 2 games!!

Mourinho won us titles and got us second place last year. I don't like the man at all but he wasn't just a flop - he added something to our history at least. And so what if the same was said for Mourinho? The same has probably been said for every manager to ever have lived both successful ones and not when people have been too eager to dismiss them - because you don't go around hiring and firing people every six months looking for the ultimate quick-fix unless you're absolutely oblivious both to how humans and the world in general works plus also something of both a spaz and a dick. Treating your employees as disposable to that degree is just bad all over and shows not only a lack of class but also a lack of understanding.

And yeah I would have given Solskjær the job under these circumstances - especially if we win two of these last three games and end up at seventy points (I'm not expecting much against Chelsea). We've pretty much salvaged what can be salvaged from this season already given the total mess we were in - so that would be quite the achievement. Also I'm not holding him responsible for anything going on as of now for reasons already stated both by me and others - arguments you are just "conveniently" avoiding while repeating your same thoughtless objections over and over. Also - I don't obsess over bad runs I try to see the full picture and dig into the circumstances surrounding them not just focusing on the results. So yeah based on what's going on so far I'd say he's earned it.

You know who was manager last this happened by the way? When we suffered as badly as this? Sir Matt Busby. The following year in 1963 we went on to win the FA cup under him and then we finished second - before winning the league again in 1965 and 1967 then becoming the first English team to conquer Europe in 1968. Pretty happy all of them I bet they didn't have social media back then. I'm not saying Solskjær will achieve all this - or even anything at all for that matter - it is just one of many examples I have (already mentioned both Ferguson and Klopp too) as to why reacting in the manner some of you do this early on and under these circumstances shows a complete lack of both historicity and perspective - and why it displays an exaggerated sense of entitlement, hysteria and flimsiness serving only to degrade this club.

Hell even some Liverpool supporters I speak with are more sympathetic and understanding towards our situation than you lot are - so... Yeah that says pretty much all that needs saying.
Oh you are a Mourinho fan too? I don't think you know what a title means.

I expect improvement in the side, I'm not baying for instant success but I'm not seeing the improvement at all. You act like giving time to a clueless manager is your at most duty and act like a better fan, people like you are not doing the club any favours at all. If it wasn't for people like you Mourinho would have booted out far sooner and we could have actually salvaged this season. If a manager shows any improvement I'm all for giving him the time he needs but when there is no improvement we have to cut our losses sooner and get someone better.

I think a win a good end of the season will help his case a long long way. A loss and it’s going to be a long summer...

Mourinho, was a great manager in his time.
Won two trophies in his first year - brilliant.

Started the downtrend towards the end of the second- predictable

Got the players alienated then sacked- see Chelsea

He’s gone, let’s move on!

Doesn't matter what people think about his management in truth if he finishes in the top four.

That was (rightly) deemed impossible when he came in. If he does pull it off he's done a great job.

Let's start with a win today.

I love Ole but seeing the line up today makes me wonder what on earth he’s thinking.

Really positive start and hes obviously not at fault for this being 1-1 but why start Young and Rashford again? They literally waste everything. Crosses, corners, chances. They screwed a potentially brilliant start with their horse fecking shitness.

Looks like we might eat something from Rashfords running in behind. His biggest mistake today was giving David another start

Is he ever going to grow a pair and drop rashford, young and De gea.

They shouldn't be anywhere near our first 11 of late.

Ole doesn’t have the bollocks to drop him. And the thing is, it’s such an easy decision with a terrific number two on the bench.

Rom, Mata and Pogba are doing most of the working going forward. Even Lingard can make these runs and screw up at the end.

Who that would play better? I actually agree that Rashford is below par (again) today but Martial, Sanchez, Lingard and any others don't scream improvement to me.
It'd be worth a try given just how poor Rash and Young have been for weeks now.

Easy to see how he relegated Cardiff.

He might be able to do it in the crappy Norwegian league but on the big stage it's obvious he is clueless. Awful team selections, terrible tactics, ridiculous subs etc etc.

Some players just dont make good managers it's that simple. Another mistake by the moronic board that's going to set us back.

If four months isn't enough to at least make a few changes, then how is Solksjaer going to fix it with just one month of pre season? He is definitely not going to change the entire squad, IMO he can probably add 3-4 players.
No changes, in four months? He nearly got us top 4. We have some kind of coherent counter-attacking football. HE HAS ONLY BEEN IN CHARGE FOR FOUR MONTHS.

Huge mistake, needs to go
You are both complete and total idiots. Morons. Plastic fans to boot.

He may not come good, but to make those kind of idiotic statements without even giving him the slightest chance here is genuinely dumb.

Things are summed up when he put on McTominay for Mata. We needed a goal for Champions League football and he does that.

Young starts no matter how badly he has performed. He is a massive problem when we go forward, so many chances are wasted by his inept crossing. Solskjaer needs to stop using him.

I don’t think he’s up to the job and never will be. The whole club is a mess. I don’t think he’s ruthless enough to make the changes required but hope he proves me wrong in the summer.

I really feel for Ole, the most important match of the season and the players played the whole second half in walking pace. No commitment and fight whatsoever in the players.

Having said that, the honeymoon is over and I hope Ole will resign or asked to leave. He is not the right man to lead our rebuild. We need someone with experience and play dominant attacking football like a big club should be.

All you lot calling for him to be sacked. Get a grip ffs.

1. He's only been in charge for 4 months.
2. Got us into a top 4 fight with the shit season we had and the squad we have.
3. Has us actually starting to play good football again.
4. Has not had a proper pre-season and transfer window.

Why are they plastic fans for having a different opinion. Solskjaer is getting a pass by a lot of fans because he’s a former United player. We have lost 7 in 9 games with marginal wins against Watford and West Ham at home. West Ham we won by two penalties. Watford was a terrible performance.

Our performance have been nothing short of terrible for 2 months. It’s not just down to Solskjaer clearly but he shouldn’t be immune to criticism.

I think it probably was a mistake but what were people expecting, this will take years to sort out. The players can’t even press for more than 20 minutes that was evident against Spurs at start of season.

In some ways Ole did himself no favours by getting close to top four, we don’t deserve to finish there but now feels like a disappointment.

He has the fitness excuse now, I hope it works out for him next season without it
Can see the narrative being set from a mile off. With the resources we have jobs should be lost with the fitness team. How are teams like burnly more fitter? We’ve played just as much as anyone else. It really shouldn’t be an excuse.

If he wasn’t an ex legendary player the majority of fans would want him sacked.

I’m desperately worried about him overseeing a rebuild.

The board should have fecking waited.
You are speaking on behalf of so called fans on this forum. Real fecking fans don't just demand a manager to be sacked after having the job(perm) for 1 month. Not even United-fans. If it hadn't been for Ole we would not be anywhere near fighting for a top-4 spot. If it wasn't for De Gea, who is now this forums main target, Mourinho would have been fired long before last christmas. Oh, and we would have not even been in the CL the last 6-7 years.

To be honest, no way he would’ve been offered the role permanently with the way the season has ended.

But now that he’s here, I hope he gets the full backing of the board and the supporters.

A lot of people seem to forget that we weren't close to Top 4 when he was initially appointed, it's a small miracle that we are still in contention for it.
