I’m not sure it’s actually covered by the rules but I’ve never seen a player sent off after an advantage has been played.
It's not hard to understand. It's the worst handball offense you can commit. The ref made a huge blunder. Should have immediately blown for a pen and sent off Alexander-Arnold. You got super super super lucky there. A disgrace of a call that. Not if the referee allows play to go on and gives the goal. Why is this so hard to understand?
He’s in my fantasy team. Shoosh. So a pool player who should have bee sent off, now has a assist.
Shock and Horror.
Who, the FSW?Still think Rafa will eff them! Come on Rafa!
LFC. Breaking records. Winning nothing. That TAA 2nd assist means that both he and Robertson have now beaten the previous all time Premier League assist record for a full back (10) this season.
How many times are you going to try to bring this up?But what does that say about the EPL when top sides are getting close 100 points but can't win the CL?
Don't do it to yourself, expect Liverpool to win 5-1 from here. They are cheating twats, the amount of decisions they get away with is unbelievable. Come on Newcastle!
NothingBut what does that say about the EPL when top sides are getting close 100 points but can't win the CL?
Double jeopardy can still happen unless you genuinely make a legal attempt to win the ball.Regardless of the rule, I have no idea how some are arguing that the ref played the advantage - I never saw a signal for a foul from the ref or linesman. The officials seemingly missed the infringement but Newcastle managed to score. Otherwise, I'm certain TAA would have received a card of sorts, whether yellow or red, though probably yellow to avoid the double jeopardy situation (goal and sending off).
To be fair I think this year has been the best year for premier league teams overall in europe since we won it in 2008.But what does that say about the EPL when top sides are getting close 100 points but can't win the CL?
Even Steve Mcmanaman thinks he should have seen red. That’s not the rule. You either get the goal or a red/pen.
If they didn't score it would be a red, as it's deliberateDoes the double jeopardy thing come into this though?
They scored but he committed a deliberate handball to stop a goal. Bit like scything someone down as the last man - you get a pen and they get a yellow.
Should TAA get a yellow had VAR been present?
Yea, seems a bit weird. Why would it be a red if the ref allowed the goal to stand? You can’t have it both ways.
I just think personally it looks problematic for the English league to have two sides near 100 points and the league hasn't won the CL in 7 years and counting. Just not a good look for the overall league. How many times are you going to try to bring this up?
That is all good, they can break as many records as they like except the record of winning the PL for first timeThat TAA 2nd assist means that both he and Robertson have now beaten the previous all time Premier League assist record for a full back (10) this season.
It is definitely worse than ours do not be ridiculous. This Newcastle defense is maybe even worse than ours. It's beyond dreadful.
Newcastle have conceded less than usIt is definitely worse than ours do not be ridiculous.
Are you sure? Can't mark anybody and stands still whilst midfielder and attackers alike walk past them, sure seems just like ours.It is definitely worse than ours do not be ridiculous.
Newcastle have conceded less than us
Given the the PL will likely lead the UEFA coefficients for the second season in a row, I think it says that the English sides are among the elite but that there are other great sides in other leagues. More specifically that the PL has the strongest top 6 but that Spain still has the very best sides in Barca and Real. But what does that say about the EPL when top sides are getting close 100 points but can't win the CL?
