It's not worked out for him and he looks lost. After the new manager bounce ran out of luck (we had plenty during those few months) and the players reverted back to being uber shite again, Ole has looked more clueless by the day.
It's horrendously sad to see a bloke who we all idolize being the new face of blame....but managers often are.
Our overall play since we managed to win in Paris has been some of the worst football since SAF - no exaggeration. I thought it couldn't have got as bad but it did. And Ole has made some bizarre team selections and subs that make you think WTF!
Since he got his role, our best player has morphed into one of the worst keepers in the league. We can't score a goal for love nor money, regardless of how shite the opposition is. We've been turned inside out by teams who are getting relegated without much effort on their players - that is no all on the players either, that is the way we were set up.
The blind faith put into Ole by Woody and Co is going to bite them in the ass and we are going to end up with a new manager come oct/nov time who will have a squad that has been pulled together from the youth setup, the Championship and a few 'hit and hopes' from Portugal. Ole has no history to back himself up when things start next season as they have finished here - and there is nothing to suggest it will get better. Nothing.
Even Ole knows he's fighting a losing battle by his new attempts to play the boss card in his talk about pre-season fitness levels and talk of us not seeing some players again. It's all well and good but he's saying it to players who have won the EC, WC, FA Cup and so on, whilst he's done nothing as a manager - the players will win, yet again.
I'd love it if he turned this around, it would be amazing to have a club legend managing our club to great things but it looks like Ole is not that man, or even close to being that man.
