Not too phased if he leaves tbh. Immense player but we have to build a functional team before we sprinkle it with players like Pogba. We are realistically a few years away from having a squad and manager capable of competing for top honours anyway. If we can get Dybala and Cancelo, we incredibly improve two of our three weakest positions with youngish players. Not to add, with Pogba going we will probably sign Fernandes and another midfielder, which will end up majorly improving our midfield too.

Liverpool sold Coutinho and showed you can improve from it.
I'm can't help but feel most of the Pogba money will be mismanaged and eventually wasted on average players. Better to keep the only world class outfield player we have IMO.

We are fecked if there's not at least 3 players to replace him by.

You're most likely right. That being said though, if we don't improve on that front, keeping Pogba is pointless anyway as we are going to continue to be shite.

Don't give a feck about him leaving. Goodbye.

Hopefully we take one of their players in replacement.

how good is Bernardeschi? Haven't seen too much of him at Juve, but was highly rated at Fiorentina. Could be an interesting option on the RW.

I don’t like some of his clownish habits but we are run by absolute incompetent twats and I can understand good players wanting to jump ship. Thing is this club owes him nothing also and if Juventus want him they should pay 150m, otherwise feck off.

Imagine being asked to join United as a top class player and money is not your sole motivation. "So player X we would like you to join our great club, we have possibly one of the most famous and talented midfielders in world football, Pogba and the world's best goal keeper De Gea...who both want to leave and we also don't have CL to offer you and possibly not for the entire length of your contract...so what do you think?
Good times. I bet they are lined up around the block.

Exactly. We shouldn't hold any player hostage. If they want to leave the buying club has gotta pay full price, none of this player swap nonesense. We had to pay full price + extra when we bought him from Juve.

Pogba will be worth more than Ronaldo. Also Ronaldo is as close to a sure thing as you get in this game.
We were apparently seeking 160 euros for Pogba, thats not that much more than what they paid for Ronaldo then you factor in Ronaldos wages also (since transfer outlay includes both) actually the deal may actually be cheaper than the Ronaldo deal overall.

Pogba's wages won't be anything short of ridiculous too. Not to add, Juve don't need Pogba nearly as much as they needed a talisman like Ronaldo.

I just don't see it happening without player swaps, it's not good value for them imo.

Yes I bet it won't even be half of Ronaldos.

Also since Pjanic is apparently leaving Juve, they absolutely need a star in the midfield. It is their weakest area atm

I really doubt he goes to Juve unless moving to Madrid is really off the table this summer.
But palying another season with dross like Jonah, Rashy, JLingz might put him off already.

Crazy that so many fans want them gone.

People want Pogba gone before the likes of Smalling,jones,lingard,mate,matic,young.........Ridiculous.
But Pogba doesn’t run through metaphorical walls on the pitch so he can’t be any good.

People, for whatever reason, forget that selling Pogba doesn’t suddenly make Ashley Young a full back, or Matic more mobile, or Smalling/Jones good, or give Rashford shooting boots.

It’s rather obvious that a number of the ‘fans’ that want him gone consume their football through biased mediums. Only need to read the OgS thread to see that a lot of ‘supporters’ want to see us fail so they can have their “told you so” moment.

People doubt he really wants to be here so wanting him gone saves the embarrassment when he goes elsewhere because we bought him & played him next to Fred.

He isn’t without blame but when he plays in a side that often has Matic, Smalling, Young et al. in he simply is rarely the worst player on the pitch.

In the grand scheme of a mess we have he is NOT one of the problems that needs immediately solving but we’ll sell him for a small profit which the Glazers will pocket, get in an inferior £50mil replacement & be starting Matic, Fred & a-mother next season.

I’m trying to detach from football as next season is going to be torture; we’re about to sell our best player while we continue to play wingers as full backs & strikers as wingers & our fans actually think this is a good thing!

Raiola would score another obscene amount if he takes Pogba back to Juve, no doubt

(I know he’s currently banned but from what I read, he’ll get intermediaries or his cousin to do the bidding on his behalf anyway).

The Madrid move seems to hinge on the Hazard deal according to the Spanish journos I follow. Zidane would like both but Hazard is the top priority and the price they end up paying will determine if they can afford Pogba too this summer. They initially thought they could get him cheap with his contract running down but Chelsea are playing hardball and prices like 130 million euros are being quoted which would rule out paying a similar amount for Pogba.

I'd sell him but its striking how posters believe this story on face value but he's using us to up De Ligts wages? its the same story!

It's likely different. De Ligt wants to leave and reportedly has a preference of Barcelona (assuming they can pay him all the same).

Pogba wants out, Juve can afford his fee. Juve can pay his wages. Raiola can get into a win-win situation by passing him on to Juventus.

Because it's coming from Di Marzio who surely had a very strong Italian and Juve sources not just from Raiola.

You're right, though the fact that they signed Ronaldo on those terms doesn't make it any easier for them to shell out so much cash on Pogba. If they can't pay 90 for Savic and far lower wages, I don't see them wanting to shell out possibly 40-50m on Pogba with more wages.

I guess we'll find out though.

It's off because the money they'll pay for Hazard and he seems to persistent to leave this summer it seem.

But its Raiola leaking both stories? Its like the fourth club he has been open to go to in the last 18 months.

Is it just him? The difference with the Juve case is Di Marzio appears to be talking from the stance of the club. That the club are working on it, that they can do it. The only Raiola related piece in the information is the interest from Pogba.

If Juve want him they'd probably be able to afford him. They are paying so much on Ramseys wages and Ronaldo, I'm sure they will afford him after offloading Cancelo and Dybala. No chance Dybala works with Pogba and Ramsey in one team.

Can't or will not. I doubt its can't and more will not because he just isn't worth the fee.

No way Ronaldo and Pogba are compatible in the same team. One misjudged pass from Pogba and Ronaldo is waving his arms around like a kid therefore Pogba goes into a sulk For the rest of the game.

Two huge egos I just cannot see it working even though they are both amazing.
