How is that clutching? Players not going all out in pre-season friendlies when he potentially might be moving is something which fecking happens.

You've been in an out of the CL multiple times since Fergie. You're not 'EL regulars' but like you say, you're not CL regulars either .. which is what a player of Eriksen's calibre will want.
Perhaps he’d rate his own ability to be the difference between United now and being a Champions League regular.

Seen this said a few times, there's 4 CL spots and if Spurs sell Eriksen but replace him adequately then they'll still have enough to finish ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal. Maybe actually that's their ploy? Help ensure our qualification to stick it to their London rivals? Thanks Daniel never knew you cared
Maybe, they’re leaving it very late in the window to replace him though!

Best number 10 signing we could make this.

Much prefer him to Dybala, Fernandes and the countless others we've been linked with.

Eriksen and Pogba would create so many chances for our forwards.

Total downgrade for Spurs that.
Would say about par but both bring different attacking qualities. Coutinho can dribble in a way Eriksen can and open up space with it.
Eriksen has the vision and final pass. Both have a decent engine but think Eriksen has much better stamina. Both can leather a ball from distance.

We all love United
Will it really actually happen?

I'm gonna blow my load if Spurs sign Coutinho. Cos it's very very likely Eriksen will be ours

Coutinho will be better than Eriksen. Can play anywhere behind the striker and has goals in him.

If Spurs got Coutinho and we got Eriksen, then we would be on par. If we got Eriksen and Spurs got Le Celso/Bruno, I say we're a step above.

Eriksen has been playing like shite last season. That's my impression of the few Spurs games I saw. Does anyone have any stats on his latest season?

That doesn’t matter though? He’s one of the best players in the PL and if he can stay at that level for 4+ years then it’s a great deal.
Sounds too good to be truth when you put it like that. Don't see Levy doing it

Be an amazing signing if it does. Huge fan of Eriksen and he seems to want a new challenge so there's a distinct possibility it will. Recent news that they're going for Coutinho would indicate that they're looking to replace him.

Would love him here personally.

Don't know about the stats but I agree, I wasn't impressed with him last year, maybe I didn't catch enough Spurs games.

Levy won't let Eriksen sign for us. He'll do a Bale on us again and sell him abroad for less money. Probably Real Madrid as we won't sell Pogba.

Only way he signs for us is if he wants to play for us more than Real Madrid. A phone call from Mr Scandinavia himself Ole Solksjaer is in order right now.

Everything they have done for him ? He has been arguably their best or 2nd, 3rd best players for the last 4-5 years. And what has he got to show for it ? What trophies ?
That's a bit harsh isn't it? Spurs gave him his chance in the PL when there was little to no interest from other parties. That alone should count for something. Under Poch's guidance he has become one of the best attacking mids in the PL, among the most consistent provider of assists too. Footballers aren't solely about themselves, surely. Eriksen will be fully aware that be rejecting United and staying at Spurs a further year will have a hugely detrimental impact on the club that made him a star. Costing them a large sum of money and essentially denying them the finds to purchase his replacement. The Spurs fans would boo the shit out of him too.

Maybe I'm just being naive, but I'd like to believe no one could be that selfish.

If he wants to play for us, then Levy has no choice. He either accepts £50m from us, or lose him for free next summer. Choice is his, and i know what he'd rather choose.

It’s more nuanced than that. He either sells to us and brings in a replacement. Or he sell abroad for less and with no chance of bringing in replacement/let’s him go for free. The change in window closure makes it difficult for Levy.

If Spurs sold Eriksen to us I would gladly strip off and take a photo of my hairy bullocks and post it on the caf for all to see.

‘Christian Eriksen will be in high demand this summer, and that’s a scary prospect for Tottenham. His uniquely brilliant play is a fundamental part of the team’s best performances. This season, he continued to show his skill as a playmaker, receiving the ball around midfield and progressing it, either himself or through passes and movement, before finding incisive passes to Spurs’ forwards that unlocked defenses and created impressive goalscoring opportunities. Look no further than his 12 Premier League assists this season, third-best in the league, for evidence that Eriksen continues to be a key part of Tottenham’s offensive game. Some other ways of describing Eriksen’s playmaking qualities: WhoScored records him making 2.1 key passes per 90 in the Premier League this season, eighth best of every player in the league, and among top-six teams, only David Silva, Willian, and Eden Hazard made more. In the Champions League, Eriksen was equally excellent: only Kylian Mbappe and Jordi Alba beat Eriksen’s four assists. Moving away from numbers, though, Eriksen looked consistent and elite in yet another season. He started every single game for Spurs since January 30, and during that time, his performances fluctuated from reassuringly competent to impressively brilliant. He rarely makes a serious mistake. He scored some crucial goals for Spurs this year, including a late winner against Inter to keep Spurs’ Champions League dreams alive.’

Aren't Real signing van de Beek? Why would they want Eriksen too? Do they even have enough funds for two?
Are they actually though?

Can't see how they'd afford it at this point.
