Poor last season and this preseason, great on his day but always looks uninterested.

I would steer clear and tell that slimeball Levy to go feck himself

Go get the next eriksen ffs, what happened to investing in youth policy?

What about Van Der Beek, chiesa, etc there's lots of options.

Also we need a defensive midfielder more than an attacking one. But ideally one of each

Ideally we'd be able to defray the principal by part-exchanging a couple of no hopers/hasbeens.

Anyone else feeling a bit meh about this? Want Dybala. Eriksen would be a really good addition though.

The mystery is why would Tottenham want to do us any favours? You would think they could easily sell him to a top club in Spain or Italy for a similar amount...
I'm sure if they had any buyers they'd rather sell abroad. Him being allowed to move to United would be on the assumption that none of the big clubs abroad are ready to pay a fee this summer.

They probably wouldn't but I imagine they'd rather sell him to us now for a big fee than to get nothing in a year. Especially if they've got Dybala and Coutinho coming in.
I will be very surprised if Dybala goes anywhere. He's surrounded himself with the wrong people who all need to get paid too and he's becoming too expensive. Also, if Dybala didn't want to come to United, then why on Earth would he want to go to Tottenham???

Well this will end Angel Gomes chances to play in the first team considering Mata and Lingard is still here. I'm not a fan of this transfer.

Eriksen seemed to have a poor last few months of the season from what I saw. I just presumed it was down to him having decided to leave.
A lot of people on here said the exact same thing about Sanchez before we signed him...:nervous:

Possibly, but we don't really know if Gomes is even going to get many chances regardless of new signings. He played for the U21s tonight so he's unlikely to make the squad against Chelsea.

Agree. Spurs have their own little wage cap which I imagine is why Eriksen wants to leave at all. That or probably shot at a title (which wouldn't make us necessarily a better option).

We kind of know Eriksen's ceiling though. Dybala is a more dynamic talent capable of greater things imo.
Watching them both they are both excellent talents but Eriksen is clearly the better.

Technically miles ahead.

Eriksen is just 27 while dybala is 25. Eriksen would be destined for greater things also if he comes here. Dybala is very overrated on here it sems.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
Is nobody else concerned that a lot of the stories about Eriksen say he turned us down earlier this summer but is now willing to come due to no other clubs being interested?

Isn't that practically Sanchez all over again? Not to mention the reports that he looked quite underwhelming tiar towards the back end of the season even though the CL was on the line.

So why would Spurs turn down a transfer fee of that size to keep him for a year? They’d effectively be paying that much to keep him for a year then see him leave for free.
I get that...my question isn't "why are Spurs selling Erikson?"...my question is "Why are Spurs selling Erikson to us?"

Better team, good football, CL finalists, proven manager who showed he can improve players.

Eriksen's legs haven't gone though to be fair. So we'd at least be getting a footballer out of the deal instead of whatever Alexis Sanchez is supposed to be these days.

What stories? I haven't seen anything on Eriksen turning us down.

Is journalism the laziest and easiest profession around?
MEN put out an article about Ole talking about Eriksen today. "ole talks about eriksen amid United interest"

Want to know what he said? In like 2014 he said eriksen was a good worker. While he was a pundit on a game in which eriksen played. Being a sports journalist is easy. Finding some mug that will pay you to do it seems to be the more complex part.

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.

Really? They played the Champions league final last year. Are in the champions league again this year, will be challenging for the title and have Poch as manager. We are very likely to not even be in Champions league next year.

Dybala will not join Spurs and those tossers will probably be reluctant to sell us Eriksen. No, won’t get dragged in to this one.

Andrei Kanchelskis made me fall in love with Unite
This guy is a grade a fecking moron.

I loathe him every time he’s been on Sunday Supplement.
His tweet literally makes no sense for many reasons, chief among them; Juve have already accepted a bid from spurs apparently, so that's not an issue, they're trying to trim their squad, not increase their wage bill, yadayadayada.
