What's worse is palace were awful again today, but that goes to show you the utter mess we find ourselves in. Too much sentimentality with this squad that needs major surgery.

Can't really blame ole for this one, some of the options we have shouldn't be anywhere near this club.

If Ole says “we dominated the game but...” I’ll lose it with him.

Palace did what they always do, sit off. It was our job to take it to them and we created absolutely nothing all game. They were so comfortable.

We kid ourselves once every few games or so, but we are a very limited squad with a very one dimensional manager.

No doubt everyone will blame Pogba for losing the ball for their goal.
There was only one person to blame for their second and it wasn't Paul Pogba.

I’m lost for words.

Feel sick and I’m just completely fecked off now.

Will another manager make a difference?

Losing hope of Rashford and Martial ever fullfilling their ''potential'' if they even have it...

Unlucky but also not good enough. We pose no threat from central areas with Lingard and with keeping Pogba deeper.

We are going to pay a high price for not buyinh a top nr 10/ AM.

I d start Gomes at this stage since Lingard is just a very mediocre player.

It's gonna be a long season...

We haven't really resolved our lack of killer instinct in the final third issue since Fergie left. We seem completely devoid of ideas near oppo boxes.
Which surely comes down to coaching. Because nobody can tell me we haven't got the personnel the break down Palace. So that leads to asking questions about the coaching.

Can remember many games under Fergie like that, it’s not all doom and gloom :nono:

Since the PSG win, this is our form.

Ole is a legend but I don’t think he is the right man to lead the club going forward. Half the players should have been sold but he is a yes man and has allowed them more chances. He has to be held accountable for a lot of this shit.

We are not very good, the effort was there, we were unlucky not to come away with something but our defending was shambolic.

We were also missing a little guile out there, we badly need a little magician number 10 plus a tricky winger for these types of games.

It pains me to say but Ole won't last until xmas at this rate.

Hope, We Lose
Posters on here told us that we're shit going forward because of Smalling and Jones. That having 2 CBs comfortable on the ball was our biggest weakness and why we cant play well.

Now we have 2 CBs comfortable on the ball, we're shit going forward and the defense is struggling

Horrific. Set the team up to counter a defensive team.

Lethargy from a team three games in but don't worry the issues last season and our collapse were solely down to fitness not say, structure, identity, character or technical ability.

Fitness was code for I haven't a clue from Ole, our team lacks so much bottle and so much bravery that I cannot remember a player successfully taking on a player.

Paul Tierney did so happen to have a catastrophic game, simply negligent. We would of lost regardless but special mention to him.

Another record in the bag though lads, but dont worry Rashy and Jessie will come good.
Disagree. Ole set up with lots of pace in forward areas, which was the right thing to do. Because running at their packed lines was going to be the only way to disrupt them. It worked several times. Cahill should've had a red card. United should've had two penalties. We had tonnes of free kicks.

The problem was our attackers played in a cowardly fashion until it was too late. To my eyes Wan-Bissaka made more take on attempts than anyone else out there. OPTA will probably tell me I'm wrong but I don't remember any one else really trying to commit Palace. There was a lot of cowardliness out there today. Lots of people hiding from responsibility by laying it off to someone else. Really poor.

Wow! My total average for the team was 5.2, the Caf average was 4.0, that's rare.

Frustrating game as both goals were errors, Lindelof and De Gea both screw up, if they do their jobs properly we don't concede. Problem is we struggle to create anything but again we knew that, we didn't invest anywhere near enough in the summer and now if Martial and Shaw are out we are fecked even further.

I think Ole has the right ideas in terms of how he wants us to play, he simply doesn't have the quality at his disposal to execute, I felt we'd find it hard to get top 4 this season and 4 points from the first 9 including getting beaten at Old Trafford by one of the crapest teams in the league doesn't bode well.

Not sure there is much Ole can do, we just have to plug on and accept that we have the team we have which on paper is just in the scrap for top 6.

Terrible game. I had a good bit of sympathy for the lads until they threw it all after the equalizer. We allowed to shocking counters because of sloppy play. I hate our 4231. The Pogba and McTominay pivot is weak and it means we're playing Lingard. I really, really hope we go for a 4312 / 433 hybrid sooner rather than later. Our technical ability is shocking at times and it disrupts so much.

Solskjær is losing my backing if he doesn't start being way more ruthless. Starting Lingard three games in a row is criminal.

What a disaster, so clueless with what to do with the ball, no cohesion and Lingard somehow still makes it into the team.

We also can't continue playing a 2 man midfield. We really need to push Pogba forward, I think I would rather take Fred or Matic right now alongside Mctominay with Pogba forward.

James summed it up by celebrating an equaliser. That's who we are now. Wouldn't blame Pogba for leaving.
What did you expect a 21 year old to do after scoring in his second match at OT?

4 coaches since Fergie - each very different from one another and no improvement. The only common thread during that period is Woodward.

I heard alot of people on here getting horny over greenwood. Did the guy touch the ball in the 30 or so minutes he was on?

Get Lingard fare way from this club as soon as possible. You cant have a player like that in a Man United team expecting to create chances when his first touch is so poor. McTominay giving away possession. Martial not playing to the whistle infuriates me. Also injured yet again just like Shaw.

All of this comes down to not having a Director of Football in place to run the football of this club.

This season is not going to get better. This is the level we are ag and that's no exaggeration at all. Won 3 games in the last 15 and we struggle to Palace at home.

The worst is yet to come.

Imagine calling a typical home performance by us a freak game  that's the sort of toothless display we've become famous for in the last few years, nothing freak about it. The freak was the opening game.

Freak as in lot of pauses from injuries out of nowhere, red not given, pen given and missed and finally a mistake when we were going for the winner. After Martial suddenly got injured from standing still. We looked promising at first, but the game flow was disrupted all the time.

Individual mistakes costing us.
Lindelof has to be winning the header
De Gea needs to save at his near post.
Rashford has to score the penalty!

This was always going to happen after not fixing our midfield issues, not replacing Lukaku and going into the season relying on Martial and Rashford to be our main strikers

What's new, haven't we seen this performance for years now?

We go one goal down and are already beaten. Still clueless in breaking down low blocks.

Well, we had a manager that wanted to sell those half players and bring in new ones and wasn't a yes man, and he got sacked...

Pick the ball up, put it back on the halfway line and go again.

We are fighting for the 6th.
The sooner we accept it, the softer weekly slap in the face.

You can come up with all the excuses but 71% possession and only 3 shots on target says it all

These are kind of performances and results which have become norm over last 6 years. One way to look at such matches is that we didn't deserve the loss but we obviously lack quality to unlock such teams so we keep playing at 2nd/3rd gear and the possession and a chance here and there becomes pointless. Happens too often to blame luck.
