Its not his fault directly we lost today, but I don't really see it on the pitch what he's brought to this team, we look no better tactically than we have for all the past dreadful years.
Been going south for some time now if we're honest. Well before Ole.Been going south since April.
Old men shouting at clouds mate. They have to blame someone and it's easier for them to have one central figure to blame than a collective. How does he get blame for 1 missed penalty 1 penalty we didnt get and a garbage de gea
I don't know and it's not my job to know. I never wanted Ole in the first place, but there's got to be a manager out there that can work with what we got. Several teams with worse squads than ours play better football than this tripe.Who is then, because the last so called world class managers that have been here recently have done feck all?
That still doesn’t explain why we lined up like an away team at OT. Why we struggled to create anything at all. It’s all well and good mulling over things but we should be dispatching teams like Palace at OT.Considering all the shit that went against us today, to read some of the responses in this thread... just wow.
these fecking so called fanatics are just clueless. How does he get blame for 1 missed penalty 1 penalty we didnt get and a garbage de gea
Nah, defense is all right, no depth in midfield or attack, not consistent enough forwards, zero creativity from midfield except for Pogba, our no.10 hasn’t scored in months.I'm not having that. That's just ridiculous. The team could be a lot better but a competent manager will easily finish top 6 with this lot. Top 4 takes a rather good manager though.
Revenue is only going to come in while the club's name means something. At this rate we'll start being ignored in place of clubs like City and Pool, and end up getting novelty sponsorships that cheapen the club. And then they'll dry up as well and we'll be done. The reason why we're such a "brand" is because of decades of dominance. Those days are gone for any club now so unless we compete with the big boys Woody is going to lose the only thing that makes him useful - which in my opinion isn't that impressive because any twat could get a random Japanese tractor company to pay us to have their name uttered in the same sentence as ours. It's just a question of how willing you are to whore the club out.Woodward is going nowhere. He brings in the revenue and that's all that matters.
No but someone should be able to get this lot to play some decent football at least. Then who is and who do we replace him with?
Will replacing the manager stop De Gea from being Joe Hart and will it make Rashford and Pogba start scoring penalties?
Could be because we were being hacked down every time we got near (or inside) the box. That still doesn’t explain why we lined up like an away team at OT. Why we struggled to create anything at all. It’s all well and good mulling over things but we should be dispatching teams like Palace at OT.
Different when you're at United, though. Whole different level of pressure.I don't know and it's not my job to know. I never wanted Ole in the first place, but there's got to be a manager out there that can work with what we got. Several teams with worse squads than ours play better football than this tripe.
That cop out...I don't know and it's not my job to know. I never wanted Ole in the first place, but there's got to be a manager out there that can work with what we got. Several teams with worse squads than ours play better football than this tripe.
The manager is employed to set up the team and find a solution to winning. Today he may have dealt the best hand he had but he had the summer window to prioritise targets to his superiors and push where necessary. I'm worried he might have been too nice and overvalued the quality at his disposal, and might have more situations like today - he plays a strong team, does little wrong in substitutions etc. But they let him down. But he will take the hit for that first, not them.Must admit the rush to blame the manager has happened much quicker than I expected.
You see the same shite happening week after week. You get to a point where you start looking introspectivly and start taking responsibility for the situation you find yourself in. This team, manager, coaching staff, ceo, owners are not good enough.Considering all the shit that went against us today, to read some of the responses in this thread... just wow.
Jose looks better and better, even if he didn't help himself on many occasions saying things publicly that he should have kept private. But the criticism of the club and of where we are and where our ambitions need to be if we want to do anything of note was spot on. I backed him till the end as well, but that was because he is a top class manager with a proven track record and knows how to win. I'll support Ole, but I already believe he's not up to the job.I'm sure there is value in his positivity and insistence that he's happy with the squad, protecting players and not openly challenging the board, but if this continues he will fall on his sword because he's given himself no excuses.
For all the shit Jose said, there's been no tangible difference in results between the two approaches, and we've had a long time to sample Ole.
I backed Jose till virtually the end and il do the same with Ole. I just hope he gets the team playing with a better cutting edge than they have. Otherwise what's the point?
And then look against who we played today. Would any Palace player be in our first 11 except Zaha? That excuse is really boring. We can be outplayed by Liverpool, City even in some away games but against Palace at OT we didn't create anything in first 45 minutes. In second half it was better but we didn't create much clear chances. Are people seriously calling for Ole’s head already?
Look at that team on paper, Pogba aside they would struggle to finish top 10.
We played Crystal Palace not Liverpool.Nah, defense is all right, no depth in midfield or attack, not consistent enough forwards, zero creativity from midfield except for Pogba, our no.10 hasn’t scored in months.
Until Rashford and Martial kick a level or two, we’ll get nowhere.
Team is poor.
He's quite clearly part of the problem though, anyone says otherwise is deluded. He was never of the quality we needed to turn this ship around. Lovely bloke, but the jobs too big for him.the problem isnt the manager
We don't though.Could be because we were being hacked down every time we got near (or inside) the box.
We played decent football. The football we're playing this season is miles better than any shit we've had for the last 3 seasons. No but someone should be able to get this lot to play some decent football at least.
Well that’s football for you. And I mean we could do something about it by working on set plays. It’s all bit scatter gun at the minute. I mean I’m not saying Ole needs to go after watching that but he’s to blame today. We shouldn’t be reliant on luck or our own goalkeeper to win us points.Could be because we were being hacked down every time we got near (or inside) the box.
You said on paper, bar Pogba, this team would struggle to finish top 10. I think that is a ridiculous statement.Nah, defense is all right, no depth in midfield or attack, not consistent enough forwards, zero creativity from midfield except for Pogba, our no.10 hasn’t scored in months.
Until Rashford and Martial kick a level or two, we’ll get nowhere.
Team is poor.
