That's an embarrassment even for a cucumber.Rashford has the IQ of a cucumber.

Could have passed it to Mata.I’m genuinely not sure what Rashford did wrong there
I think if successive managers had given this a proper go instead of moving him out to the right or the bench it would have been much better for us. Unfortunately he's not got long left at the required level, we've wasted him really.De Bruyn, David and Bernardo Silver don’t have pace. They have intelligence and technique, Mata is the closest player we have to that. Play him central, he’ll pick the right passes, keep possession, and even when things fasten up during counters he won’t let us down because of his understanding of the game and ability to play quick passes.
Last week and this week are games made for Mata. I understand when we play the top teams and want to counter Mata's speed is NOT an asset. But in games where we will dominate possession Mata can usually be counted to create a few opportunities.Mata has been great. His creative brain is in a different class to the majority of our team. He should start every match he's fit for.
Had no option3 cm away from the keeper...yeah why dont I just shoot straight into him.
I know and I barely have enough money to buy a cucumberAnd the bank balance of an African Dictator - weird isn't it ?

And who should play that role? Seriously asking. Why are we putting Pogba so deep that he's almost in front of our defense ? This makes me worried. He should be moved up top.
I agree that he isn't particularly quick or strong. But, it's like that old phrase about good defenders never going to ground, and I consider the same thing for Mata. His positional sense is good enough that it means that he avoids being in situations where he needs pace or strength. At least, that's my view. His general lack of physicality, both in terms of pace and strength. It really is a big flaw.
On the other hand, he has great strengths too in terms of touch, intelligence and movement.
It's all about picking which games to use him in, I think.
