Bad luck with so many injuries, but the recent run has culminated in today as the lowest ebb so far.

Big problem for the board now, as we're clearly going nowhere like this, but we're marooned 3months from a window to do anything about it.

So do you allow it to get worse, or maybe gently recover when the injuries come back? Or do you make a sacking now, and have no one to bring in?

Dreadful.

Ole was cowardly today I thought. That's annoyed me.

We waited until 60 minutes gone before making the tactical adjustments to help Rashford get into the game and then we got beat. Why not start the game on the front foot with a front two? Or at least pick up on the fact that after 20 minutes Rashford was on his own and get Mata to push into a SS role.

That's a bit unforgivable really. A top manager has to make big decisions and be flexible. I don't see either from Ole at the moment.

We are fecking shit and that is in big part down to Ole but you have to question his coaches as well - Phelan worked under Fergie you’d think he’d have learnt a thing or two which would prevent us looking like relegation fodder.
I think Rene did the technical work. Sir Alex could make a paperbag believe it could be a champion. You can't learn charisma.
Shorts is a nice guy but doubt he was responsible for much.

Imagine Solsjkaer in The Apprentice, he'd get eaten alive in the boardroom every week.

Should really be the end for him now, unless the club wants to wait for Pochettino to be sacked/walk first. Either way he's done and it's a shame that this has happened to a club legend.

I just hope fans won't turn on him and call him whatever names although it's already happening. Then again Cafe fans are not a real representative of United fans in general. At least the loudest ones.

His record is a disgrace. Why people support this guy just because he was a legend as a player is crazy. His record is awful, he is clueless, he does not deserve to be manager of Manchester United. If he is still our manager after the international break it is disgusting. He is so out of his depth its unreal. To say our squad isn't good enough is a joke. Any decent manager could have us challenging for top four, like everyone said at the start of the season we should be doing. He deserves to go and he should go, now!

Na Na na na na naaa nagalsmann!

Ole is part of the problem, but the board cannot escape with immunity this time. It’s inevitable. Yet I fear they will come out of this washed in holy water once again, one marquee signing and all will be forgotten

We play such a passive "style" if you can even call it that. we play every game with no tempo, it's just such average stuff. Why does he set us up to play in this sort of way? It's bonkers. I can't stand watching us.

They should absolutely not disrespect him but we can't control twitter etc.

I'm so sad.

Fully agree. He burned bridges sure, but you know what he wanted to do. I was celebrating him being sacked but I have got this very wrong.
Do you know what he was trying to do? I never did, us finishing 2nd under him was a complete anomaly built on De Gea having a ridiculous season despite us not looking like a coherent team and his signings were mostly disastrous. He then completely burnt his bridges because that's what he does, let's not pretend he wouldn't have done that if he'd got Maguire because he'd started doing it well before the 2018 transfer window. The club is a complete shambles but getting rid of him was one of the few correct things they've done in recent years, the fact we gave him the job in the first place showed that the club has no plan.

Injuries happen, it's how you deal with them. We needed to get a result and ole still goes with 4231 formation that doesn't offer anything. A formation that we have struggled to get an attacking consistency from it, but yet he continues to use it.

We can blame Woodward and don't get me wrong I hate that guy more than anyone, but this side should be beating palace, Southampton, Newcastle and fecking Rochdale.

Everyone was screaming through top to buy midfielder to support Pogba. Every tom dick and harry knew if pogba gets injured then there is no one in the team who can command and control the midfield. And yet.... perriera, mata, fred.. fk. this is lower than league one midfield.

They should if you mean as a manager.

He's a club legend so being crap at managing doesn't change his status.

I understand ups and downs but this is just down and down. Ole is deluded, chat as much bs as Woodward. No plan, no strategy, no plan b, no players, no passion, no sense. I could go through teh oxford dictionary and create a 1,000 word essay witj all the nos Ole has bought to our club. Ole out and with a passion.

Yeah, I'm thinking its a real possibility now, especially if United get absolutely hammered, and that's a real possibility too.
Often it’s after a loss to a rival that a board sack a manager. I think they are waiting on this game. Say we pull off a 0-0 miracle then may just keep his job until City trounce us.

Either way he’s on the brink and is likely the next prem manager gone. We are in a relegation battle.

No idea. Why did we wait so long to help Rashford get into the game? It was obviously early on his was isolated yet we waited until 60 minutes in before making an adjustment. No excuse

Ole is still a legend to me. That night in 99 is still one of my favourite memories, but he is out of his depth as a manager and he should be relieved from his duties along with the coaching staff.

The loudest people of any groups always represent the minority. We call the majority usually the silent majority for a reason. You're always going to have frustrated fans who will go on and be disrespectful to vent, but that doesn't represent the vast majority of the fans. Ole's a good guy, he's out of his depth, and good luck to whoever comes in and shakes the losing mentality off these players. Four coaches have tried to put some structure to this club, but repeatedly they come out looking lost and toothless. I don't know what manager can come in and put some life in these boys.

I like Mourinho but he did burn too many bridges.

For Mourinho to work Ed would have had to be sacked. Which just isnt going to happen while the Glazers are still around.
It’s a sad state of affairs when the CEO is more valuable than the manager. The only similar club is Spurs, for the same reason they won’t make that final push. It’ll simply cost too much money

Jose was doomed the second Woodward made the stupid bloody press release going against the manager. Look at the route cause, don’t blame the band aid for not being good enough

His in game management has always looked dodgy, he doesn't seem to notice things or is reluctant to change anything till it's too late. But then you have to put fingers at his staff too, what the hell are they doing to help the situation?

And all I wanted was a lousy hint of us wanting to play football
I hope you know I ripped all of your pictures off the wall
I loved you, Ole, we coulda been together—think about it!
You ruined it now, I hope you can't sleep and you dream about it
And when you dream I hope you can't sleep and you scream about it
I hope your conscience eats at you and you can't breathe without me

As clueless as they come. This is worse than under Moyes and LVG Pity the relationship with José soured. If he loves the club he'll resign.
