Any new manager is stuck with:
Shaw
Young
Lindelof
Jones
Bailly
Matic
Fred
Mata
Pereria
Rashford
Lingard

All players that arent good enough. They have continuously failed. Some under 3-4 managers. You could add a few more to the list.

Where is the will to replace all these bottlers? What manager would take on the job?

Ultimately it's not Solksjaer's fault. What's happened to Manchester United is solely the Glazers and Woodwards fault. But the blame will rest at the managers feet. Ole isn't a good enough manager. But looking at the subpar squad he's to work with, I could see managers having the same problem.
That's key. The rest is irrelevant, are you expecting a great squad to cover for a subpar manager?

Wonder if he'll walk? Clearly has no idea how to motivate the team. It's not even so much about tactics. Straight up the team should not be playing this poorly. It's pathetic.

1-2 wins??:lol: . He failed to win against worst teams in country ffs. This squad( more or less) was second in PL. So he is biggest dross and biggest problem of this squad
More or less the same squad? We've just sold 4 internationals and not replaced them. Zlatan has gone too. Major difference between the 2nd place finish and this squad.

Tell me more than 1-2 wins that this squad would've got with a different manager this season?

For the record I do think Ole is out of his depth. But we have more than one major problem at the club. If Ole goes do you think it'll be all sunshine and champagne football?

There are many problems to fix.

No way. Separate the player and the manager.
Hard to when you see that rubbish, I just hope he does the right thing and quits, I don't think he will though. This is the worst shape we've been in since SAF retired.

It’s over. Love him and no ill feelings but I just don’t see it ever getting to the standard we want to be at. I could excuse the results if there was some progress with the football being played but it’s just as dull and slow as before. I thought they went heavy in pre season on fitness but we look no fitter.

No chance.

Just saw some quotes from him earlier today, that he gets it right when given "time"

Where the grass is greener.
He's not got it in him to turn it around, and the injured players aren't the types to come in and save him either. We're somehow only going to get worse from here.

He always looks so sad. I feel a bit sorry for him. Like a homeless puppy.

Again, sacking Jose was a big mistake. Ed should have supported the manager and sold the Instagram superstars...
Or just hired a better manager than Ole?

People expect us to win with that squad vs Bruce and that top tier quality of Newcastle team, some are ever crazier, expecting us to outperform them too... shame on you.

I think we need someone better to avoid bouncing around just above the relegation zone for the season. We need to spend in January too. At this stage we need a caretaker again and the make a permanent appointment at the end of the season after hiring a DoF - ie the plan from a year ago ... from a weaker position

It's not his fault that he is a diabolical manager but get appointed by the biggest football club in the world.

It's not his fault that we sold all our attackers without replacement.

I'm looking at you fecking Woody!

Surely has to go after that, if only to spare him from the hiding Liverpool will give us and then he would really leave in shame.

It's his own doing that. He decided to sell Lukaku, he decided to sell Sanchez and to not extend Herrera's contract, he decided to spend 80 million on yet another centre-back. Ed Woodward is a massive massive troll if he doesn't sack him after tonight.
Like you, I think he's got to go too! But Lukaku had to be sold, Sanchez had to be got rid, Herrera was holding us ransom for a too much money - those were all correct decisions. He needed a centre back and Maguire has been fine. He failed by trusting the deadwood he already has and not using the Lukaku money to buy a replacement.

He's got to go for persisting with mediocre players and just being the worst manager we've had.

What a shame. He will be sacked, there isn't an option we're so close to relegation places.

This will devastate him, but he had the opportunity and wasn't savvy enough. Needed a great set of coaches to help him, but he went for friends and who he knew. Those things don't work. You need to be clinical and dispassionate to an extent when you're putting your team together. Any weaknesses you have, you need to hire people better in that regard to help.

Very very sad the whole thing.

I'm worried we might be in fight for relegation or finish close to those places if Ole finishes the season.

But it's not a great squad. Look at what's happening at City right now. A few injuries to key player sand they're losing games to teams they would have swatted away last season. And they've much greater strength in depth than we do.

This is a problem that's been brewing since 2009. We've drastically underinvested relative to the money we're making. This is chickens coming home to roost

OLE OLE OLE I LOVE YOU
No that wasn't the mistake.

The mistake was giving in to morons in the media and the fans clamouring to give Ole a contract he hadn't yet earned, when there was absolutely no need to.

Should have let it play out until the summer and then looked at bringing in an actual manager.
At least Jose knew what he was doing and his football was much better than this barring 2-3 games. And he is not clueless like Ole. He wanted the players to perform to their full potential and throw out those who were not ready to offer themselves 100% for the team. Yes, his public outburst was bad and not good PR, but at least he knew what the problem was and he wanted to sort it out in his way.

We are fecking shit and that is in big part down to Ole but you have to question his coaches as well - Phelan worked under Fergie you’d think he’d have learnt a thing or two which would prevent us looking like relegation fodder.

I like Mourinho but he did burn too many bridges.

For Mourinho to work Ed would have had to be sacked. Which just isnt going to happen while the Glazers are still around.

Well, Ole said he was happy with our transfer dealings. I’m not saying Woody shouldn’t be blamed but Ole should have been more proactive. He trusted Rashford from day 1 even saying Rashy is as good as Kane or something. The whole of last season was written off so that Ole could analyse the squad and get in good players. The failure to do so is partly his fault too. Even yesterday? he justified selling Lukaku, despite knowing that we have no proper striker. As many have said, he’s just been a yes man to the Glazers and Woody

Fully agree. He burned bridges sure, but you know what he wanted to do. I was celebrating him being sacked but I have got this very wrong.
