Can people stop excusing Ole for lack of options? His decision was to let go Lukaku. His decision was to let go Alexis. Ffs, we didn't beat any team away since PSG. Don't tell me that our team is that shit that we can't beat midtable and bottom table clubs
Those two needed to go, but Ole deserves criticism for not getting a replacement. Fair enough, Lukaku might have made a difference out there today, but fecking Sanchez? I'd rather have Phelan lace up his boots and play.

Our team is shit though. Most of the players out there today would not even make the bench in a Ferguson era team. That being said, even with how shite our players are we should be doing much better than that and Ole has to turn things around quick or hes out.

I said a while ago that United should go for Eddie Howe as manager, because clearly he's destined for bigger things. Not much has happened since to change my view.

He has to go. He’s out of his depth. His signings have been good but he’s tactically clueless with zero game management.

The idea of asking players to run in behind is basically giving them a great way to run away from play and not take responsibility.

If he's part of the reason we're so short in numbers he should be held responsible and lose his job.

If he's been left short by Woodward and the board then I feel sorry for the guy as he's basically fighting a losing battle. You wouldn't send a boxer into a fight with one of his arms tied behind his back.
Another OGS apologist, if the 'boxer' had any brains or integrity he would refuse to do it.

At least Jose had the brains to get himself sacked, then let the Woodward and the board take the piss.

This.:lol:. I am sick of that excuse how shit our team are. Like we are fecking Cardiff with total dross in team. Nobody on this forum and fans in general are expecting from this team to be champion but come on, beating weaker teams than us should be some minimum standard.

Or creating chances at least. I don't ask much. Just few nicely created chances per game
West Ham aren't a 'weaker team' when our best players are injured. Their front 4 today was players that they've bought for £25m plus each. Up against an ancient Mata, £15m James and Rashford and Pereira. Put your dream managers in charge it will still look terrible.

It's relegation form at the moment. Why people want to defend ole as manager is bizarre. I loved ole as player, but as a manager it's becoming a disaster that needs to end.
Because the top reds want to prove they know the real way of supporting the club, which apparently it's giving patience for the sake of it for a manager that it's inevitable how his tenure will end.

Any new manager is stuck with:
Shaw
Young
Lindelof
Jones
Bailly
Matic
Fred
Mata
Pereria
Rashford
Lingard

All players that arent good enough. They have continuously failed. Some under 3-4 managers. You could add a few more to the list.

Where is the will to replace all these bottlers? What manager would take on the job?

Ole's idea of management is basically to just do what Mourinho did, but worse, and with worse players.

We are more negative than ever before.

The idea we'd be implementing some sort of organised, efficient team press, and move more in the direction of City and Liverpool. Hahaha. What a laugh.

I'm yet to see anything different in how we play to the setup under Mou, there's a lot of talk about pressing but it seems like we just chase lost causes more (which ramps up our stats) we don't actually do any pressing as a unit which is the whoe point. This needs to be coached and does take time but I would have thought we'd start to see something a bit different by now.
With good coaches you can see their imprint on the team. Even Chelsea have an identifiable imprint in a short span of time. And that too without spending 150 million as we have. So I'd say Frank is at least showing potential. Ole on the other hand merely has some good ideas, but even I can sit here and say I believe in youth and attacking football. Doesn't mean I can manage the club. Unlike Lampard, Ole shows little potential as a coach. And he definitely isn't good enough for the here and now. So yeah, think he's out of his depth.

Nobody who's fecking sane is talking about pushing for a title, it's about beating such shite as WHU or SOTON, perhaps putting more than one past fecking Astana.
Yeah, of course. I was thinking more if we want to get back to the level that we feel United should be at, which for years was winning the league.

The two aren't mutually exclusive though. If you have a good squad it can help carry a not good enough manager. If you have a good manager it can help elevate a squad to play better. We have neither. We have a poor squad and a manager that isn't cut out for it at this level.
When I think about whether it's time to condemn Ole as being out of his depth, I consider whether another manager could do much better than we have done this season with these circumstances. Im just not convinced enough of that yet.

It's very unfortunate that the players we have out are among the players we can least afford to be without.

It's because Fergie needed 7 years we now have to give every manager 7 years because that's the blueprint to success. I mean, it's proven to work once so it should work again.

No his idea was, the players will be fitter next year and this will make us better. Although that hasnt worked either because I dont see any high energy or intense pressing in this team

How can a manager of Manchester United expect the team to play well when he played Matic, Pereira and Mata together? Did Ole expect they will suddenly become so much better with the ball and will transform our attack?

I've bolded the players who have received new contracts under the current manager.

I think he's just a very generic manager. He wants us to play youth and play with urgency. Beyond hay he doesn't offer real excellence as a manager.

The 'Ole out' group see that list as world beaters under any other manager.

This. It’s high time we stop blaming managers and start looking at this group of players. We need to replace them not the managers.

Mourinho must be absolutely loving watching this though.

Not out of spite for us but spite for Ed and the media for buying into the "let's just play hungry English lads and have them run around a lot to win games" schtik.

People saying give him time. If there were signs that he had a clue, beyond his words and dreams, I would. If I saw a style of play emerging, players clearly being motivated, but results not going our way I would say yeah I can see this manager knows what he’s doing give him a 3-4 windows.

But all I see is a man who after he’s first window has made the squad weaker then when he took over. All I see is a man who has not implemented any style of play, a man who demonstrates no coaching/managerial skills.

If I’m expected to blindly support him as manager and not say what I think because he’s a legend, then let’s play SAF as CF and anyone who dares complain is clearly not a loyal fan.

Again and again; we are not talking here about winning titles( or even top 4 spot). We are talking about how even with those players with others who are classy players like Pogba, Martial, Maguire, AWB and DDG, every coach should have decent attacking play and beating( or at least dominating) mid table and lower table clubs. That is the problem here. Ole is here 10 months already and we should be playing some good football so far

Tuchel would develop players and knows his tactics. IF we get part ways with Ole I hope the board goes with Tuchel. He’s more progressive than Poch
That's a good shout. I hope the board is proactive for once and are doing some work behind the scenes.

End of the day Ole said he's happy with this squad and that the youngsters are ready, and as bad as our squad is it's still better than what we've seen at the end of last season and start of this one so I'm not gonna defend Ole.
