Team I expected, although im slightly disappointed Pereira gets another start.

I wouldnt mind us trying the 4222 that Brighton play, which would mean not having to play a number 10.

Desperate to see Martial and Rashford up top toegether.

Massive game for us today. A win will put us up to 7th and we'll hopefully get a couple of players back, following the international break.

10/11 Thought Rojo would start . Maybe Ole fancies Williams over Rojo in that position. 1-1

We need to give pereira more opportunity to settle in. Its better he gets these sort of easy games. Im hoping theres a creative player in there somewhere.

I like the guy but I just don’t think he’s got it. Would love it if he proved me wrong today.

Not sure this is sarcasm or not, but this is is 8th consecutive start in the league, and apart from the Norwich game, he's been way below par.

That said, we're not exactly spoilt for choice, regards options at number 10, and if we're going to start with a 10, I guess Ole feels Pereira is the best option.

Vital that we get a 10, either in Jan or summer.

    Good for Williams to start.

Last chance saloon for Pereira. If you can't do it at OT against Brighton, your goose is cooked as a United no.10.

I missed the line-up comp but I would have got 11/11.

I hope it's not the same 4231 again.

Against weak opponents at home like today i hope to see this:

    De Gea
    AWB - Maguire - Lindelof
    Pereira - McTominay - Fred - Williams
    James - Martial - Rashford
Sorry to disappoint, but it will definately be a 4231 to start with.

I don't like this trend of talking down other teams. If we win the match we will go ahead of Brighton. This "weak" team is above us in 8th place. They beat Spurs 3-0 and have won 3 of the last 4 matches, scoring 10 goals. They beat us last season and our aggregate score against them was 4-4.

Eh? He's started nearly every PL game this season and looked poor in practically all of them. "settle in". Its this sort of mentality why we're how we are now, giving so much time to mediocrity.

I really hope we stick with Rashford-Martial-Greenwood front 3 because it is much better than a Rashford-Martial-James front 3.
Once Pogba is back he needs to play behind front 3 of Rashford-Martial-Greenwood with Fred and McTominay in midfield. That is 100% our best front 6. If you think James should be in the team you are 100% wrong.
Ole said after the Partizan game that Greenwood hasn't shown enough in training to warrant more first team appearances, which is fair enough.

Could Pereira FINALLY do something in this number 10 role. Not sure how many more chances he should get
It’s farcical. Him and Lingard, hours and hours in that position without doing a fecking thing

It wasn't sarcasm. Similar to Fred I dont think theyve got it after all this time but we dont have a choice. We have to keep playing both players till they finally get the drill.

I would have liked to see mata start but im also fine with pereiea getting the nod. Its a long season and I doubt we are going to buy an attacking midfielder in January so whats the point in not giving pereira maximum confidence. Only person in the sqaud I feel should never make another appearance is lingard. main reason is he cant play in 4231 that Ole loves with all his heart.

This might be fair enough, but what did Mata, Pereira or Lingard show to warrant theirs? :)

Actually, thinking about pre-season and all those talks about Greenwood, Gomes, Chong and Garner, it is interesting that the one who actually gets EPL starts is Brandon Williams

Why is Rojo not in? He’s been better than Lindelof this season.
Rojo and Maquire played against Partizan with Maquire as RCB and he looked a bundle of nerves. Maquire is better as LCB and I wouldn't trust Rojo as RCB.

That might actually be our strongest team for once, at least without Pogba fit.

    Watch us lose 2-0.

You make a fair point but I think with Greenwood just turning 18 he needs more nurturing and I don't think having him as an automatic starter is the way to go. I'm with Ole on this one.

If mata plays we complain that he is weak. Lingard is never an option. Also most of those starts didnt include our best players Martial and Pogba. Lingard was wasting everyones time when our key players were fit.

I hate when I have to lookfor streams when I don't have United on tv in Croatia, but I have FA Cup between Dover -Southend, entertaining 0-0, in case you are all wondering. :houllier:

Anyone with a helping hand river?

Let's hope so. Now that Fred and MuckyT have started to make a bit of a partnership together, we can push Pogba forward, where he needs to be to be most effective.
    That would be ideal.

I'm not 100% confident in Fred, but he has shown improvement in the last couple of games as has Periera.
