I argued this since day one with the doom and gloom posters on here. Our sponsorships will not drop with the size of our fanbase

I don't think it'll be too long before Chinese Billionaires start snapping up European clubs, this is only the beginning.

Disgusting. I don't want any ties with China or Saudi. Why can't we ever have good, honorable and noble men like Jim Radcliffe?
To be fair, I read that the company is privately owned and the owner has minimal ties to the CCP. China (like all communist oriented countries) likes to control the business that goes on in the country so the involvement in the CCP is probably an unofficial requirement to conducting business there.

I have no problem with the club dealing with a consumer white goods manufacturer (and by the sounds of it, a good one). They have an independent source of funding that has nothing to do with whatever the CCP is doing politically. White goods are not oppressing anyone. If anything, with the labor savings they provide they tend to make life better for pretty much everybody. Just because the company is based in China does not mean that they are oppressive or somehow enabling the CCP to oppress. If Haier didnt exist, China would still be doing whatever it is doing.

Meanwhile he's bought Nice and made you look a right biscuit.
BRITAIN'S richest man revealed he will not buy Manchester United as the club have "lost the plot".

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who grew up supporting the Red Devils, is worth a whopping £20billion.
He added: "United have spent an immense amount since Ferguson left and been poor, to put it mildly. Shockingly poor, to be honest.

"We have a different approach here at [at Nice] to be moderately intelligent about it. Try to do it more grass roots, trying to locate young talent.

"Some clubs seem to have an ability to do that, Southampton, Lille. United have done it really poorly. They have the lost plot there somehow.

Yeah, right. I'm the biscuit:rolleyes:

Sounds a bit low given the longevity of it.

It's an indication of our decline that it's barely higher than the previous decade-long deal. With inflation, it's actually lower and that's without accounting for players inflation which is way higher.
Given that no other club has signed a bigger deal in the 5 years since the Chevy one, and now this is apparently another uplift, I’m not sure your logic is stacking up here.

What were the odds rumblings of a great commercial deal would emerge days after another dreadful performance on the pitch?

Why do people seem confident that the logo will be presented in white, when in actual fact its blue?

And blue wouldn't look great tbh

As much as people want to admit it. It’s the islamaphobia.
It's feck all to do with Islamophobia.

Those despots don't adhere to the tenets of Islam. It's a repressive regime and that's just the tip of the iceberg

It's not the size of our fanbase that will determine it but our global visibility, as long as we are in the PL and regularly in Europe we will have big sponsors.

Using words like disgusting about whole countries, in China's case almost 20% of the world's population just comes across a bit racist to be honest.

If you happened to watch some development over the months you would not miss actions from local Police , Endorsed by Communist China to fire tear gases , live rounds at protesting crowd , plainclothes cops driving towards protesting crowd ... and numerous other Police violence incidents . Of course You may say you don’t understand the situation in Hong Kong as the GOAT LeBron echoed the other month.
Local Hong Kong police endorsed by Communist China? Haha. Dude, you need to read more before commenting.

Haier dryer is very much needed

Also if it happens it's not due to Woodward's genius. You can put Paddy Crerand as the CEO and there will still be loads of companies offering us sponsorship deals. We're shite and someone literally asked 'Do you want a world record sponsorship deal sir'?

The perks of being a massive club and all that

It comes across as daft and desperate refusing to give Woodard any credit for the work he does on the non-Footballing side of the club.

Get Facebook as our main sponsor for all things related to data science and technology and I will give him plenty of credits.

I believe Richard Arnold actually heads up our commercial and sponsorship efforts, albeit he obviously reports to Woody.

The bit I am concerned about is being regularly in Europe as I'm concerned that if we don't get a few signings January and put a decent run of form together that we might miss out, unless we win the Europa League.

This is correct. I think Arnold assumed that main responsability when Woodward became CEO.

While we are it let’s stop wearing the kit altogether, if we can’t have sponsors or manufacturers of the shirt who have any possible links to anything bad.

Let’s have our kit hand stitched in the hilltops of the Swiss Alps, sponsored by green peace.
Then and only then will I be confident that my club has a moral compass as great as mine.

Seriously though I’m sure people here just enjoy making everything about United a negative.
You would think we were having our kit made in North Korea and sponsored by Jim’ll Fix It. Ffs
I mean china aren't really any better than north korea these days. Just much more powerful.

But yeah society is fecked anyway. Tip of the iceberg this.
