We played well, pressed with high intensity, had some good chances, but same old. We dont convert enough chances and we switch off.

The comments about Wan-Bissaka feel like people just repeating things they've heard before, without considering that he's improving (trying some things like stepovers and stop starts), has attacked space in this match, and is still only just 22 years old.
I think quite a few just repeat the same old without actually watching.

Some of the decision making as a team is shocking. Blind pass from McTomminay gifts them an attack, our inability to tackle Son, they’re scared of putting a foot in. Forcing DDG into action, then the lack of ability to simply head the ball away from Ali.... shambles And we invited it on. In the PL if you invite pressure you will concede. It’s decision making like this that remind me that we are very much a mid-table side these days.

Garner on for Lingard please !
    Lindegaard on for Lingard please

Aside from a few performances from players who clearly aren't good enough to be on the pitch, I thought we played well in the first half. Cracking Spurs goal

I think we have been very good. They had one chance and scored. The defending leading up to that goal was simply awful, we had far too many chances to clear that.

The most notificable thing is the step up in pace and much better passing midfield.

But saying all that I suspect the heads will dropped now with the equaliser. I expect Spurs to come out and win this 3-1.

We have been awful, Jose I'm sure will change it up. Very fortunate to go in level but Alli is just top class at the moment.

The shoulder is up top, not at the side of your body. If the ball is to hit your shoulder it has to drop from above. How can a ball coming from the floor hit the shoulder on its way up?
What you're saying is wrong, because if you watch the replay properly, you'll see that what I described is what happened.

Yeah, I did not use my words. What I was thinking is the tech of VAR is no different than the humans on the pitch. Yes, humans are reviewing VAR but at a greater advantage with multiple angles, replays, etc...
It's never going to be 100% perfect with humans involved is it? But i think more information to help the refs can only be a good thing.

The modern game is so fast, the refs struggle to keep up. You can argue the application of the technology, but the tech itself can only be a positive personally.

Feel Lindelof should have been at the near post to challenge Kane initially, dont understand why it was Fred. Although Fred done well to win the header and other than maybe Young commiting himself more, trying to head the ball for example, we should be ahead. Fine margins plus it took 2 mistakes and a piece of Dele magic to score, I reckon we have got this, they have hardly been near our box.

agreed, he’d have probably wrestled him to the ground, got sent off and they’d have had a penalty that Kane would have scored.

Good defender but the revisionism on here is something else.

One of our best performances for ages, and still go in level.
    Really gut wrenching.

Much improved performance first half after recent showings. Unlucky not to be ahead. Rashford looks on fire... McT brings a calmer feel to midfield and definitely seems to bring the best out of Fred. We need to go at them again, keep closing down when they have the ball and hopefully the chances come again.

Absolutely fantastic 35mins from United there. So gutted to be 1-1 at half time just sums up our season. How have 2 players let Ali do that in the box

Supposed to be our best half and is still level. Very damning on us, they still have some more gears left
Hate when people say this tbh. It's like we didn't score 3 goals against Chelsea in the second half and absolutely hammer them on the opening day. Was a perfect performance after the opening 20 minutes or so.

I know he’s been a bit better lately but I still don’t think Fred is very good at anything.
Thought he's been very good today, shifting the ball about with a bit of purpose.

Helps having lingard in front of him offering passing options

I think football fans like to be part of the herd. I'm excited to see how he develops!

What a shame the team has a glass jaw - one hint of pressure and they concede. Still more exciting to watch than Mourinho teams, this one's got goals and spirit in it.

You're deluded. His job is to screen the back 4, link with McTominay, pass to Lingard/Wings, harrass the opponents. I think he's done his job perfectly so far.

The guy you need to be directing your frustration to is the anonymous No.10 called Lingard. He's the one who's supposed to be creating for us. Look at Alli, that's a 10.
The irony of you using the word deluded is uncanny.

His job is to box to box, to tackle, to pass, to make correct decisions. His presence in the middle of the park is poor. Lingard has been OK so far, a little rusty after not playing much football, but has transitioned our defence to attack well. Ali has done nothing today, barely had the ball until the goal. Great goal, but that was down to our awful defending.

We are still struggling to defend high balls into the box. This has been the case since the season started

Spurs have sat back a little bit, typical Jose away performance. If they start dominating and really going for if, they've got us on a platter. Our only attacking outlet is rashy, I feel they've nullified James and greenwood quite well

I feel he Carries the ball well at times and can have a crisp, fast pass on him but I agree. Slightly improved version of Cleverley. Will be a decent squad player.

Great first half foiled by a piece of brilliance from Alli and a few good saves at the other end. If we keep playing like this we should win though...

What a horrible, shambolic, embarrassing goal to concede. And it ruins all of the good work that was done up to that point. Now we'll be lucky to hold on for a point.

And no matter how "natural a finisher" he is, Greenwood is not physically ready to play in the premier league. He is so easily dominated I almost feel bad for him. He makes Martial look like Drogba. I know we don't have any other options really right now, and he still almost scored, but man he is easily beaten to every ball and doesn't look fast enough either.

Not sure what Young was trying to do. Fred is wrong side but at least has him pinned.
Young charges like he’s going to win the ball and somehow runs past him and also ends up wrong side? Baffling!
Presume he thought he'd be able to win the ball and got fooled by the flick.

    Hindsight's a wonderful thing

Had a look. Hits his shoulder if you look at the camera behind the goal you can see it clearly.
For me, it looks like it hits his deltoid muscle which is at the top of the arm on the outside. The change of direction to the right also indicates that it hits him on the outside of the arm, otherwise it doesn’t go in that direction.

If Amazon can do this and just show all the goals at half-time and full-time they'll kill Match Of The Day in time. That would be sad.
