Silly comment, looking at those replays several times, it brushed his shoulder, which isn't handball, and his face.
The shoulder is up top, not at the side of your body. If the ball is to hit your shoulder it has to drop from above. How can a ball coming from the floor hit the shoulder on its way up?

Supposed to be our best half and is still level. Very damning on us, they still have some more gears left

He’s done the basics that a championship level, hard working midfielder can do. Unfortunately that’s where it ends. His decision making, passing ability, tackling ability isn’t quite up to scratch to play for a top 6 PL team.
You're deluded. His job is to screen the back 4, link with McTominay, pass to Lingard/Wings, harrass the opponents. I think he's done his job perfectly so far.

The guy you need to be directing your frustration to is the anonymous No.10 called Lingard. He's the one who's supposed to be creating for us. Look at Alli, that's a 10.

We were good, should have had more than one. That was a terrible goal to concede though. Nice play by Alli but we should have stopped that.

How do you explain the ball completely changing direction to fall perfectly onto his right foot? Look at it again and just look at the flight of the ball and how it changes direction.
I will have a look at it again.

Whole back 4 reacted badly( Harry and Lindelof must boss 16m) but all started with McT. His passing was shambolic all half.

    Some decent football this half.

Ole decision that i liked the most = didnt make same mistake like last time in Martial absence. Instead of going Rashford as striker, he gave that spot to Greenwood.

Ole decision that i cant stand = Young starting, hell even being in the club. Also Lingard being number 10 again, like he is gonna feed Greenwood :houllier:

Standard match generally from United this season so far, 30 mins looking good and don't fully capitalise. Then the other team work their way into the game, their confidence grows, we concede and go on the back foot.

Hopefully we can start the second half the same as the first.

Should be up by 2 or 3-0, then concede with the second shot on target. Even in times where we dominate, we just dont score enough

Was a lucky "bit of skill" without the bounce off his body it trickles harmlessly.
Na, without that touch he probably gets an outside of the boot strike off. it was a brilliant piece of skill.

Also funny how the handball rules are still something NOBODY knows how work. That ball hits his arm and completely changes direction. How can that NOT be handball according to those new "If it touches"-rules?
    Looked like shoulder to me.

When it was still 1-1, I was thinking "please don't fall apart in the second half" - I have PTSD from all the "game of two halves" matches we've seen over the past few years.
This sucker punch of a goal made it even worse, psychologically: we don't even have a lead to take to the inevitably awful second half.
I guess it's still 1-1, we played really well, and all that, but it still feels hopeless somehow.

    Red Card for Casemiro!
Some of the best football this season in the first half hour. We were actually playing with a swagger for a while. Ole knows how to get his men to turn up for an occasion, I'll give you that.

Disappointing to concede that goal, but it was class tbf. The performance was very promising, though I don't expect a repeat in the second half.

How exactly does it not work? What do you see on the page / what happens when you click it etc?
Black screen with an icon on the top left that has like a flash on it. Every time I click on the player nothing happens. However the video works on the chrome app via mobile which is weird.

Great first 25. Poor last twenty. Expecting a poor half to come if our recent firm is anything to go by.

It has been a problem all season that Utd can be playing well but in the short periods the opposition are in ascendancy it has been alarmingly easy for them to fashion chances. Spurs were very poor in that half, should be out of the game but Utd have not punished them, despite some excellent play and a fantastic display from Rashford who is destroying Aurier.

I'm not entirely sure who's idea it was to send Smalling out on loan and leave Jones and Rojo behind. We conceded a similar goal against Bournemouth where our CBs who are supposed to be dominating our penalty box just watch as a ball in the air comes down and falls to an opposing player. I mean, what is this??

Cant imagine what the reaction would be if it was Pogba missing that pass.
    Sell him at half time!
He doesn't care and only prances around.
Mourinho was right, he is virus.
    We were better without him.

I sm losing patience with AWB. Some good tackles but despite that, lately he is bang average. I hope it is just drop in form only

So many bad decisions on our part before their goal, starts with a pass to McTomminay who is facing the wrong way and has several players surrounding him, Son being able to walk past 3 player, win the ball back and passes it right back to them. Dave not going out and taking that cross, then Fred and Young letting Alli turn like that

    Smambles
    just came to post this

we looked so indecisive in the phase of play... unable to take control and very vulnerable

not good enough by a long shot

Suprised with the performance. Spurs let's be honest are poxed to be level at half time could have no complaints if United were 2 or 3-0 ahead. When you're out of luck as United are you somehow find yourself level and the habit of giving away soft goals continues.

Another poor United 2nd half on the way? Burned up a lot of energy in that half.

Very good half, Rashford causing all sorts of problems, 1 slack bit of play and a brilliant piece of skill from Alli means its level. Cant complain too much though. Need to start back up the same as this half.

Honestly not sure what planet your wrong. Fred has been pretty poor all season. This, even with the poor defending for the goal, is his best half of football this season.
Well i know 100% you haven't been watching much of Utd this season, if you think this performance is out of the norm for Fred. He's been at this level for a few months now. It's just not a popular narrative to have because it's Fred.

These journo's longtime hatred of Jose has been supplanted by their incontrovertible love for spurs. It's a little sickening.

Unlucky not to be ahead, Rashford is full of confidence so I expect him to carry on as he did first half. Strangely Greenwood and James haven't been involved enough for me.

I mean I liked Smalling,to a degree, but lets not make out like he is/was some colossal defender.
He can have just as many brainfarts as the majority of his United team-mates.

Fred getting turned by Alli in the box was a fecking disgrace. All he needed to do was stay goal side the stupid bastard.

Had a look. Hits his shoulder if you look at the camera behind the goal you can see it clearly.

Played well most of the half. Good goal by Rashford but I fear we may be punished further so not taking advantage of our dominance. We faced as the half drew to a close which was summed up by their goal.
