I enjoyed that

Williams and Fred deserve a special mention but the lot of them were excellent.

As a fan I love the amount of football around the holidays but feck me, it’s too much for the players. The quality is not always great, risk injury, etc. Then we have a big game in 4 days.

Happy with the result but it was not pretty.

Better be lucky than good sometimes. I was fuming after the Lingard sub cuz I felt it would cost us. The reason we played well was cuz he didnt play. We simply cant carry him, cant compensate for him and we are lucky we got away with it. He is currently not a proper footballer.

Overall good game though. Martial should have scored that 1 on 1, James was great, Williams was great, so much better than Shaw, Matic did well, Rashford was lucky in the end. All in all, we did well.
Lingard not playing was the key. Ole needs to stop with the good guy act, Lingard shouldnt play. Period.

I thought today would be extremely painful. But we were decent throughout the game. Good effort lads!

That is a brilliant result considering this was the exact type of game we struggled with last season. Worst officiated game of the season, somebody needs to take a look at that, I think the club should make a formal complaint to the FA.

As a side note, that was the exact type of chance Rashford never would have scored a before this season.

Dan James was great. Brandon Williams too. Everyone else a bit tired by the end.

Decent performance. Excellent result.

Poor poor refereeing. Should have been red card to Ben mee, should have been penalty against Bardsley on Martial.

One fantastic win this. I actually despise Burnley. They are everything that is wrong with football. Garbage. Dean.. i'm not even going there. GOd.

But lets focus on our own team. Not exactly pretty, but these games never are, and that is only because of Burnley and not us. Our players worked hard as hell all game, took whatever these nasty thugs in Burnley came with and secured 3 fantastic points.

On we go.

Feck Mike Dean.

Top performance 48 hours after the last game, against a super physical side.

Nervy at the end but a good, deserved win. Officiating was a complete joke though, it really stood out as a exceptionally poor performance, even by Mike Dean's standards. Burnley are thugs, the Premier League would be a lot better off without them.

Finally we looked like we had a coherent plan against a defensive minded team! Encouraged by our winning without Pogba and McT, James had a great game and endured a lot of collisions. Nick will be very happy on the next podcast!

Excellent performance really.

considering the negativity on here before kick off, they’ll be a few eating their own words tonight. If I had the energy I’d find and tag the poster who was expecting a Williams shit show.

Onto the Jesse Lingard Stadium next

The Fred - Matic combo worked just fine. Williams was refreshing on the leftback. He's a lot better getting forward than Shaw.

Clean sheet and both our best goal scorers scored. Good game.
Delicious. Best way to end the year. Was so good to see that second goal, especially from Dan James' assist. Upwards and onwards in 2020!

Williams was phenomenal. Clearly he is still young and inexperienced, and yet I will have him on the left side instead of Luke Shaw any day of the week. He's great in assisting the attackers. Can totally see becoming top class with more experience.

This is what I like to see. The counter attacking but also patience build up play because we are capable of keeping hold of the ball. Chuffed.

They should been down to 10, let’s be honest.
Dean gave them every opportunity to hit us again and again

The most promising performance of the season, even over the wins againt Chelsea and City. We've struggled so much against shit long-ball deep teams like this.

First half was a clinic of careful patient possession, valuing the ball and valuing territory, coupled with some important quality moments. Lost some composure in the second. Fred and Pereira, who kept possession and built attacks with some difficult touches in the first half, lost a lot of that in the second. But the defence held on.

Ref was godawful. Repeatedly. Did any channel show a replay of Martial's second? Looked like it was fine.

I hope Dean gets a harsh review for that match. He should not ref for a few weeks for that display.

4th place is on and alive. Thank you Ole.

Worst man on the field was Dean.

Nice and comfortable win tonight. Long time, no see.
James got some big hits, but still manage to shit on them every time, great game from him.
