Ole ain’t winning nothing. We are getting knocked out of all these competitions and we are not getting top 4. So you keep hoping. We can discuss them one by one if you want. We’ll start on Tuesday night.
That’s the spirit.

Haaland won a prize in Norway today. He thanked Ole specifically. Lots of love and respect there, sorry to say, no drama. Right move for him to move to B.Dortmund. Take steps gradually. Building the foundation, having the experience. United are in a rebuild, will be too inconsistent and too much of a risk for him this time around
United even tried to cut that fat pizza prick out of the deal, but it’s Ole’s fault still according to these nut jobs

I really think you have no idea how you come across in your posts. Of all of the anti-Ole posters on here, by quite some distance you sound like the guy who enjoys us getting beat.

Read your post above. It's a disgrace. Support your club you utter moron. You've lost sight of what this football fan thing is supposed to be.

We have a lot of quotes from our players to suggest that he is capable of giving out a bollocking. He is never going to be the type of manager that will criticize individuals publicly, and I wouldn't want a manager that did that.
I agree nothing shows a lack of professionalism more than a manager publically berating his players, ala Jose Mourinho, and I'm not for one minute suggesting that Ole adopts that approach. It's more a case of his aura or lack thereof. He doesn't possess an air of authority like Pep or Klopp clearly do or SAF back in the day. The latter was famous for publically supporting his players through thick or thin, but you know damn well all bets were off behind closed doors. Ole doesn't give off that impression one bit, despite murmurings in the press suggesting otherwise.

I think our club lacks leadership from top to bottom, from the boardroom to out there on the pitch. The fragile mentality of our entire squad is evidence of that, and Ole isn't helping to remedy it. Rather the opposite. He compounds it.

Utter moron. Grow up mate. It’s really not that serious... if you got people you care about give them that energy not me. You don’t even know me.

Back to your first point; I have no faith in this manager so I tell it how I see it. Sorry you don’t like it but I’m not going to lie to myself. If I didn’t want United to be successful I sit back and be quite content with Solskjaer as manager as he seems to be doing a good job of making us rubbish. I don’t need to hope for poor results he delivers them for me on a regular most weeks.

We still seem to be on as many back pages as we ever were. I cant imagine how you've reached the conclusion that we are irrelevant now.
We are starting to be. Few years ago it was title or nothing. Then top four. Now top six is good. Point away is good. Everton at home is tough game.
We reached point where there is no much fuss when we lose points. Especially among fans no matter of which club. That will trigger domino effect. When we fall down in packing order in eyes of media and fans we are automatically falling down in eyes of sponsors. Our income will reduce. Without income you can't bring best players and best players win you titles.
Days when "young and hungry" players were winning titles for their clubs are over. What clubs win titles around Europe? Richest. Clubs who are buying and having world class players. Barca, Real, Bayern, City, PSG, Juve...
It is reality. You think that players from Leicester, Newcastle, Bournemouth and clubs like that will win us titles in future when our spending power and reputation falls down? No, they will not. Especially in a league like PL. Pure quality will beat "desire and passion" 9 times of 10. You will always have some weird season when underdog wins title but it is anomaly in today's football.

Anyway, i went from topic there. Remember Milan? They were among top clubs in the world in 90s and 2000s. Look at them now. Do you know their players? Their league position? Bloody hell i doubt that many know who their coach is. Same thing happened to Liverpool in the past.
You talk about paper headlines. Look at wider picture. Outside UK. If fans and media outside UK lose interest for United what will happen?

Sorry Random but we're talking about a multi billion dollar business here and the decision to give Ole the full time job was reactionary, which is never a good idea.

They could and should have waiting until the Summer, saw how the season ended, done their due diligence, interviewed Ole and other targeted candidates and then decided on the right man for the job.
You gotta be kidding me. Any sane person and how they could not give him a job after 10 wins in a row?! If plan was to give him interim till end of the season and use that period to look for a DoF without distractions and finally make a decision about permanent role at the end of season, nobody would die if they went like that.

There was no rush to give him permanent job in middle of 2nd half of the season, no reason at all, only morons would make such a call and miss on complete performance and result review at the end. No other top club would go for him regardless of his results etc, so there was no danger at all in that regard.
Let's face facts, the game is about winning first and foremost, particularly for a club of our stature, so when Ole took over and lead the club to a 10 game winning streak, it's going to turn a few heads and raise a few eyebrows. I mean, we hadn't seen promise or hope like that since SAF was running the show. You can't blame the board for getting caught up in the euphoria of the moment. Anyone of us would have acted in the same manner - I know I would have in their position. They're only human after all.

I am extremely worried how Ole and the board think the squad they have now is sufficient to help us finish this season in a strong position. I am not convinced with Ole's plan. I think either he is actually naive by thinking this squad is good and we don't need to.sign or he is fooling all of us. In both the cases the club is the one affected.

I am worried for our season.

How are we happy with standards being dropped and what does the board want you reckon?
Well, I think the general overwhelming support of our manager who's clearly out of his depth shows that many fans have accepted mediocrity. Compare the current level of concern with that we saw under LvG and Mourinho and you'll see a major discrepancy. Just a few years ago, many on this very board were displeased with a 2nd place finish - just think back to the draw at Anfield and how this board reacted to that point. We've had several games this season in which we've performed worse yet now its fine. Now it's all "part of the process". Ultimately, standards have dropped to a point where we don't many maintain any.

Just take what we get, to be honest and it's NOT acceptable. Not at this level. Never. We're not a Wolves or Everton. We're Manchester fecking United. No matter what people say about Sir Alex and the end of his tenure, he left behind a dynasty that should never, in 7 years, fallen to lows it has. Look at Klopp and Liverpool, sometimes I have to squint at the screen when I see him winning games with a midfield of Henderson, Wjinaldum and Milner as he did the other day.

As human beings, we make mistakes, one of those was appointing Solskjaer - seems like Ed or whoever doesn't want to own up and take responsibility and it's causing further damage. We've made four wrong appointments - I think across the board each appointment was questioned at the time and in hindsight, all four are/were wrong. There are 0 positives and 0 reasons as to why Ole should remain in charge. Yet he's still here and that's a clear indication that we - Manchester United - have no standards.

I disagree. We are company worth 4 billion pounds. Fans are the ones who can be emotional. Board not. They are the ones who must be 100% objective when they make decisions. Especially crucial ones like picking the right manager.

A poor match, both results and performance wise, which is pretty standard for us these days. I was fully prepared to come here and criticise the manager once again for our poor performance. But wasting time to get a draw to take the game to a replay is unforgivable and that kind of mentality should be the final nail in the coffin. It's not a hard earned performance against a better team or a two-legged tie in which an away draw might be acceptable.

This is Ole's 'Jose v Sevilla' moment for me.
Just what I thought, nothing game with nothing performance from nothing players .

Of course you can blame them, it was idiotic decision and if initial plan was true, they backtracked from it after few months, mental shit. Not anyone, when it happened, some if not more than some in here said its a mistake not to wait for the end of season and then make a final call.

It is baffling to me that there are fans on here (quite a few it seems) that think Ole is happy with the squad. Just listen to his press conferences. He regularly says they are short of numbers and need more players.

Just look at his team selections and how reluctant he is to use players like Jones, Rojo, Matic, Mata, etc. Managers generally operate off a 23-25 man squad. Based on his team selections this season, I think Ole has 17-18 senior players that he sees as good enough.

If United signed 5 in the January transfer window, they would just be getting back to a normal sized squad for a team in 4 competitions.

Dont chat shit and make stuff up, that brainwashed crap didnt fly back then so it wont now. People didnt have a go because we got a point vs Liverpool away, it was the manner and performance which was a level below fecking Sunday league and not in patches during a game, no no, it was for almost whole 90 min. So after the game, in post match thread, the more people were saying that 0:0 isnt an issue but the performance, the more cult was trying to spin it with " Cant believe people see 0:0 at Anfield as fail and having a go at Jose" lines.

The fact remains the owners cannot compete so much of what we see and hear isn't true. It's easy to say it's ole but then it's even easier to see we're LIGHT in key areas. Is that oles choice? Even if you could, would you spend on players not good enough? Maguire for me is woeful but it's up to him to show character and fight. We KNOW we're inconsistent. What can we do? The owners have to spend money but they're parasites with no real strategy. They will back Ole anyway, of course they will. Because most managers that people would want, would point out these owners have no interest in the team. We're rewarded mediocrity for years. So what Ole says/does...etc is very political. If anyone thinks Ole is stupid and suddenly believes this group has guts and fight is fooling themselves. Of course he would want to sell and buy players....and a LOT of them...but the club is being run very poorly with most of it's greedy eyes on making money for people with no interest...no interest in the clubs or supporters ambitions

We've spent big in the past and yes with Maquire but what are the scouts doing? There are a lot of people to blame for leacing us with an inexperienced and immature squad. What we need to see from ole (though he will give players chances)...is a clear out of anyone...with their head in the clouds OR in the sand and bring in bodies...because we're stupidly short and there is a lack of quality/competition for places

I can't remember saf high-five anyone after he subbed a player for being terrible. Players don't like public berating and that's one reason why saf scream at them during the game. They don't want the manager screaming at them so they play out of their skin.
Why play out of their skin when your manager high five you when you get subbed for having a terrible game?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Sack him for smiling!!! My god what’s happened to this fanbase!?

Or;

The Norwegian has a reputation for being upbeat and friendly due to his smiley outward persona, but Young insists you don’t want to get on the wrong side of the Red Devils boss.

“I said it when Ole came, it was like Sir Alex walked back in the door,” Young told talkSPORT.

“He might be the baby-faced assassin that people see, smiling all the time.

“But when he loses it, he really loses it and lets people know. That’s how I think it should be”

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/talk...jaer-manchester-united-sir-alex-ferguson/amp/

But yes, let’s sack him. BECAUSE HE SMILES!

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
Thank you. We had some poor games, but it doesn’t mean Ole is passive in the dressing. If anything, I think he must be quite the man there. To doubt that is juvenile at best.

We do need to understand though why players are unable to see team mates runs and also play together, counter press well and protect the ball to not lose it when pressed. This is a mystery for me. But that has nothing to do with how Ole handles authority. If anything, I think he’s quite good at it.

Maybe time will fix it, it’s possible the team is still trying. Maybe one or two additions are required to make it click, I don’t know. But not inspiring fear and authority? That’s bollocks for sure. The lad has learned from the best.

Performances are erratic, but not unexpectedly so. We are good enough to draw with Liverpool. We are good enough to beat City away, beat Spurs & beat Chelsea twice. That is undeniable.

We are also a young team and a thin squad and any sensible supporter would be anticipating some inconsistency in our performances. I repeat - any sensible supporter. I know a lot of them and they are comfortable with our situation, as I am.

The fans who expect sparkling performances every week, no defeats etc are the problem right now. You are missing the bigger picture and frankly acting like spoiled children most of the time.

We are in transition. We are rebuilding a squad that has underwhelmed for some time now. It doesnt happen overnight. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
Because they see Arteta in one game and yes, that’s the rule. Same with Franck, but Lampard apparently is reverting back to this normal.

The club is a total cult at this point, with fans worshipping at his feet. I bet there's a big correlation between people having a non-analytical background and Ole in supporters.
I support Ole and I’m an engineer, master degree... please stop with that nonsense that just because you do not want to see what the team is trying to achieve, you say there’s no progress.

The plan is pretty clear right now in term of directness, pressing, counter pressing, half spaces protection and conviction in the passes. The mistakes players do don’t help us but I am hopeful it can be improved and it will allow players to ask for the ball is instead of avoiding it.

It may be a mystery to an engineer but not to most people. You practice those moves on the training ground. If the coach don't see it then players won't see it. We may lose games but at least there will be some sort of coherent action on the pitch. Not give to Martial and hope he does something.

You can only hope.

I have no idea how anyone can watch us and concur there's any tangible evidence of natural progression throughout Ole's tenure.

We looked the best we did under his reign when his influence was minimal.

I don't really understand why people are arguing about the first three months. Logically no one should care, if a player scores 5 goals in his first five games and then scores nothing in the next 30, no one sensible will point at the first five games. What matters to the club is the current dynamic and what the future holds, I could understand if people used December as a sign of things changing but the first 2 months are totally irrelevant to what we should do today and tomorrow.
I agree with you, it’s just that people are using those stats from last year to say we are dog s*** by just removing his winning streak. That’s all. If you want to include last season, include everything, or don’t include it. Full stop.

I feel sad for ole , sometimes when they show him on the sidelines you could sense that he is out of ideas . Fortunately for him the other top 4 contenders have been equally shit, otherwise he should have been relieved of his duties by now.

Absolutely!

You can clearly see the great result of all practice done at Carrington. It’s scaring how often we manage to create open chances, our directness is sublime and our passing game is probably the best in the league. I have to agree that the German master tactician is probably one of the best in the game.

Oops! Wait. Sorry, wrong team, wrong manager.

Hearing that Ole Ole Ole chant from our fans after a shot on goal or a spell of good play really makes me cringe. Celebrating mediocrity is weird. Sure you maybe want to sing that for his role in the 99 final , but there is time and place for that.

I watch and have watched a great deal of football, at many levels in my life. I'm not sure I've ever seen attacking tactics like ours today, especially in the first half.

James or Greenwood kept going fully wide, with Mata drifting. The full backs would support, which at times left no less than 3 United players outside the wdith of the box, creating space to cross, with literally no United player in the box to cross to.

It was the most idiotic patterns of play I've ever seen, and it happened for about 20 minutes in a row.

What are we coaching ffs?

We do none of these things.
All the games we have won are games where we press, we counter press for the first wave with the forward line, we protect the half spaces wit my Scott and Fred who get in between the full backs and the CB to cover, and when we play between the lines, we play with strong passes. Also, we try to find support point to move the ball up. All of the games we’ve won it’s that kind of setup. So yes, we play like that. Just that when there are mistakes, it’s maybe forgotten, I don’t know.

No you’re right we’ve lost all our games, we never won and we have never scored against any team. Nothing good can come out of this team under this manager.

You misunderstood. The club is coaching Pogba and other home grown young players to go and become good players.
Ole is being given practicals managing a top club. Everybody is being coached. Stop focusing on the results. We are builders now.

He is a shocking manager. Worst we've had.

Look boys.

During the Moyes days, did you ever look at our losses and think "ah yeah I can see David's philosophy here"

Not A single one of you did. And I could find evidence if I could be fecked. I'm on holiday. But even so it was WRONGLY PLACED right

Ole is failing on every single thing he promised. Okay...... playing Youth...,but at times to our fecking detriment.

Like honestly I find myself one day 'Ole in' because of the rebuilding thing because he seems to be on the right path -
Then the next match when we don't require it, he completely wrecks the tactics, the line up, any confidence and form of the players and changes everything and people wonder why we end up drawing or losing.

Then I find myself back at Ole out.

That's why I think this is just pure Guess work, Ole doesn't know what he is doing, he doesn't have a plan - he loves the club & has the right intention but doesn't have the right tactics or the right ideas to implent it here.

And that's why I ultimately can't fully support Ole. Truth is he had a golden opportunity handed to him on a silver platter, and he's wasting it away making poor decision after poor decision, often based on sentimentality.

Like you said I like the ideas he proposed, but he's really proving himself unfit to carry them out. Funny thing, I still end up defending him more often than not, simply due to the vitriolic and hyperbolic nature of the criticism he receives.

No you’re right we’ve lost all our games, we never won and we have never scored against any team. Nothing good can come out of this team under this manager.

There.
So he talks about creating open space, passing, what not and you reply to him with " we have lost all our games, we never won..." . I swear, this type of nonsense people doing on purpose now.

You misunderstood. The club is coaching Pogba and other home grown young players to go and become good players.
Ole is being given practicals managing a top club. Everybody is being coached. Stop focusing on the results. We are builders now.
My sarcasm meter is struggling with this - not sure if serious?

Nowhere did I mention the result?

At least you didn’t blame Ole for the Haaland transfer so you know what your talking about.

We have done the big name manager shit and it did not work, give Ole until the end of the season at least he could win league cup, europa and top 4 yet. Not like Jose who threw the league to get “his” trophy

Completely agree with you. I don’t think you can really reason with people who think we will get back to the top instantly without some painful restructuring and rebuilding.
