If it’s true that Rashford has been played with a fracture in his back then Ole needs firing on the spot along with all the medical staff.

Unfeckingbelievable.
Agree. What an amateurish decision.

This. It's been a constant "get out of jail free" card for him.
Everything is seriously. If we win Ole is a genius, when we lose the players aren't good enough, we had injuries, we missed a pen, we missed chances etc etc. It's a piss take it really is.

We are like lambs to the slaughter here. Andreas Perriera looks so out of depth it’s untrue.

I can't fault Ole anymore. This club is on its way to self-destruct. Until Woodward and co are thrown out, nothing will change at this club.

 Typical start of 2nd half. I have no idea what Ole says to our players during HT but feck me, he would better say nothing.
I would guess something on the lines of, "go out and play with a smile" or something just as unimaginative.

Rashford our for 2-3 months was playing with a single fracture that became double fracture. What kind of incompetence do we have in our club, medics and manager need reprimanding.

Spot on mate good post.

You just know the posters who had their excuses at the ready today. They saw we had a few injuries and said feck it, no matter what happens today we'll blame everything and anything except Ole, just to suit our narrative.

Good on you for calling out agenda driven posters.
I swear we could get beat 10-0 today and they wouldn't care. Nothing about it could be Ole's faul, what the feck is he supposed to do in just 13 months!

Ole has now broken Pogba through overplaying. Broken McTominay through overplaying. Broken Rashford through overplaying.

Risked the same with Maguire but got lucky on that one.

Atrocious injury management to go with his atrocious game management and pathetic idea of a fitness regime.

Honestly he's made even wrong decision possible when managing players coming off an injury. That impeded our season hugely.

I expect Fred to be injured soon

Excellent job by Ole today. Correct tactical set up. Decent pressing. Limited Liverpool. Have more possession than most anticipated. Issue is that we lack quality in final third today. Can her take risk and put Greenwood on which might lead to less defensively as pressing from front has been solid and together as a team?

Haha troll post surely.

It should be 5-0 if liverpool attackers could finish better.

It's so funny. The pro-Ole brigade genuinely don't see the irony in their posts. They call out people for agendas, when in fact, they have so many agendas to defend Ole that it defies belief.

If we lose 1-0 then he will say we are unlucky to lose completely forgetting the chances they missed. Yes Martial should have hit the target at least and Andreas should have scored.

Tactically he’s not good enough,

He’s not afraid to play the youngsters but the squad is so thin he’s not had much choice

The Rashford situation is more damning than the result today.
Of course it's. I actually lost interest in the game currently played. Couldn't believe I'll ever say this about a Liverpool-United game but that's it. United players don't even look that interested either.

His terrible management of Rashford and previously Pogba prior to Rochdale game deserves more criticism than losing to Liverpool who are dominating the league anyway.

Just sheer incompetence if true. Either the fracture wasn't detected or Ole and the medical team made him play through the fracture. The second option is just pure stupidity and the first, gross incompetence on so many levels. I really don't know what to say here. When I saw the thread on Rashford's fracture I thought it was definitely bs, but here we are. Unbelievable.

Immense respect for Rashford though, playing through the pain. Seriously hope it doesn't affect him in the long run after the recovery, although back injuries are definitely tricky. Going to be livid if this mismanagement hampers him in any way.

This is far from bad performance.
This. Replace James, Andreas and Matić with real quality and we would have scored. My main issue with Ole is him rating our dross though. Andreas, Lingard etc should have no place in our starting eleven.

Tbf, this game isn't the issue. Liverpool are a much better team and we've been in it (kind of) all game. They should've punished us on a few occasions, but we've had one or two chances.

It's the other games where the issues are.

No point getting knickers in a twist, as for some unknown reason we have to give him the end of the season and the board will. He should have been sacked 2 months ago and if he can ride out that mess he will ride out this one too.

Andreas is killing him, but that is probably the problem with some people. He should have seen it before.
Rashford has to be with the medical team. You will never field a player with those issues imo.

Overall, our fitness level is up. Fred is looking like a player. We came there to play and go at them.

Both sides of the spectrum will have ammunition, but anyone calling this some inept performance has set his mind before kick-off.

Apparently some consider this a good enough performance despite Alisson not putting on any effort in any save. Has been a game completely under control for them but well, that's our expectations at the moment, to annoy Liverpool a little bit.

Anyway a game not worth discussing any more.
