Massive win. Scrappy, but got the much needed three points. Hoping we can now go on a bit of a run. With Chelsea playing Spurs weekend, more points will be dropped.

Some will make this about VAR and they are entitled to. Me, I would take a "hand of god" victory any day of the week over losing without controversy.

I think the "push" is so minor... You'd never get a penalty for that. But you would if you put two hands out and shoved someone to the floor.

Still can definitely see another ref thinking they cancel each other out so it was pretty lucky.
I think it was the right call because Azpilicueta put both hands on Williams and pushed. Yes, Fred pushed him but his reaction did not have to result in a two handed shove to Williams. Close call though.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
Reporter brings up Mino tweet.

Ole: I'm not going to speak to him through the media, I'll have to speak to him myself.
Reporter: Will you speak to him?
Ole: Probably not.

:lol::lol:
The "irrational" thing to do would be to NOT discuss the agent tweet bombshell that's just been dropped on you when you've just beaten your rivals in their own back-yard and that's what you want to speak about.

If Ighalo had scored at the end...

Nice performance and result but we know we can do it in the big games

Now we need to consistently follow it up

We suit three at the back

I just found that part of the interview funny, that's all. The interviewer was trying to goad him into a statement but Ole did the right thing.

Good performance, showed grit & desire, didn’t get pushed around even when Chelsea started playing a bit dirty.

Special mentions for Bailly (a pretty solid performance given his length of time out), Bruno (gave us some composure on the ball), Fred (worked tirelessly).

Looking forward to seeing Fred, McTominay, Bruno & Pogba in midfield together, with Rashford & Tony up front.

I enjoyed that win. Fred was a colossus and Bruno's set peices quality.

Bit of luck but we are always gonna need that at Stamford Bridge. We are back in the race! Much needed win.

The more I see it, Fred's touch is barely a push. He had the back of his wrist on Azpilicueta.

Poor brave Cesar getting manhandled by big bad Fred.

Our inability to find players from deeper positions happens for a reason. They struggle with getting the right people the ball in the right positions and it's due to a few specific players who move the ball slowly.

Aside from that Bruno, Fred and Macguire were great.

In the endless replays of the Azpilicueta one, I'm enjoying Bailly coming in and committedly heading empty space more and more.

Wasn't sure we'd get a result tonight, mainly because we never win when Chelsea don't. Rode our luck at times, but a massive 3 points and we were brilliant in the second half. Played them 3 times this season, and dealt with them without that much trouble. Well done Ole.

The slight maneuver on the chelsea player was pretty negligible and very common in the box but our player after that was pole axed by a clear shove in the back that results in a goal. I can see why it was disallowed. Lee Dixon and Le Saux we're going crazy how it should've stood.

Didn't know Chelsea had a earlier goal disallowed from Zouma before Giroud.

Shame this thread is only 6 pages with a win at one of our bogey grounds. Guaranteed 30+ pages if we don’t beat Watford

Great victory by United, although we did not play well. I was impressed with Bailley and Shaw. Bailley hasn't played a match this season, but still plays a match against a tough opponent at such a high level. I think it was a risk to play with him today as he has no match training. But he was amazing. Shaw played one of his best matches for United and he can easily be used on the left side by a defense with 3 center defenders.

Kovacic was great for Chelsea for the first 10 minutes and it was important to us that he got a more defensive role when Kante was injured. It was a key moment for the match, as I see it.

I've been very nervous throughout the match. If we had lost today, we would not be able to reach the top 4 anymore, I think. So an important match. My heart was constantly beating from our score to 1-0. Lovely victory today. AND WE SCORED FROM A CORNER :-)

Yes it is a shove against Brandon and Fred did not shove anyone at all. The Maguire one is more tricky. I felt that we rode our luck and it was very good to win the 3 points but we need to beat Watford too to get the momentum going.

Patchy performance but a very good win for sure, with two great balls in and two great headers. That's three wins and 8-1 on aggregate to us vs Chelsea this year, they should hang their heads in shame.

I think Fred covered every single blade of grass tonight. How many MOTMs is that now? Bout time we kept shafting Chelsea. Great result. Very happy with that. Icing on the cake would've been an Ighalo goal but that will come for sure.

I absolutely detest Chelsea's defenders, especially Rudiger and Azpilicueta. Rudiger is a cheating cnut, Azpilicueta is a little cock - both are in your face (ref's face) at the first chance
