Jeezzz....Never saw that one coming.

Been watching the Track Cycling WC in Berlin 'cause I couldn't stomach another Liverpool love in on TV.

If only I'd known, I would have watched it with one of my very best bottles of Chateauneuf-du-Pape although I'm not sure which I would have enjoyed the most - the result or the wine.

Think they will end up losing at least another 3 before the seasons up.

Its good fun. You lot thinking you were going to be taking the wins, unbeaten and invincible records. Nah.
True, I did get into that mindset as a fan. I'm sure the players were trying not to but eventually succumbed too. Shows how difficult it is to keep a run like this going. Arsenal's record is phenomenal despite the high number of draws.

I'm just glad we at least equalled City's 18 wins record. I was jumping all over the place when West Ham were beating us. A bit calmer tonight. Hope we still aim for 102+ points in the league though.

Kind of defeat I’d expected to see before to be honest, the overall performance wasn’t that uncommon for them. Normally the way it’s gone this season is that Sarr would be missing that chance to make it 2-0 and instead Liverpool go up the other end and grab a goal through Mane or Salah. This time it played out a bit more like you’d expect for a top team playing poorly away to opposition with the bit between their teeth. Still the best team in the league this season but they’ve never looked as good as the run suggested.

Some did. I didn't. I must admit though, I didnt think it would be Watford that stopped us. I did think City at the Etihad would though

I'm very pleased that the worst possible thing ain't happening this season. They deserve to win the league but don't deserve to get that golden trophy.

To be fair we struggled against Watford as well. We only beat them 3-0 last week.

Be interesting to see if this effects them, they will of course win the league, but the Athletico and FA cup games are the games that matter now. Interesting.

If you do I’ll have a lot of respect for you because I think you’re going to have a harder time from here on in. Teams will have less of a mental block and your players will have an element of doubt in their heads. The confidence factor in sport can never be understated.

I said it before the match, but their worst match up is a team like Watford - they're physically strong and sit back, and have pace to counter-attack with. Essentially a shitter version of what Liverpool were when they first emerged as a top team. Pool by far prefer playing against teams that attack.

Their next 4 league games are Bournemouth, Everton, Palace and City. Bournemouth won't pose a threat, but the latter 3 due to their styles (Palace) and the meaning of the matches (the other 2) could make those games tough. Title is done at this point, but those 3 games could inject some late drama into the race, even if they did lose all 3 they'd still have a 10 point lead but it'd make it more fun.

Who would, in their right mind, try to laugh at Liverpool from the position we're in?

That's pathetic. I don't go on and on about their wins when we're not on the same level as them, but it's equally pointless to try and make their only defeat of the season so far in to something to laugh at them for.

Have some sense and don't embarrass yourself. We should reach their level, or at least wait it out till they drop to ours before we can laugh at them again.

Hopefully their head of steam from the Barcelona comeback might be finally starting to run out.

They haven't been great in the last few games.

They have been playing tumescent football for some time. They hardly looked that good against us too. I hope athletico frustrate them and knock them out.

Come on,

Were entitled to have a bit of fun at their expense after a tough season for us and everything going right for them.

I caught a bad flu (corona?). Been feeling like s**it all week, but my god, what a remedy. Hope this is a beginning of a beautiful rest of the season
Don’t get yourself checked out.
Self quarantine if you have flu like symptoms and call 111 for advice.
Do not go to the doctors and risk infecting other people.
Unless you are frail or infirm you will be absolutely fine in a few days.
The mortality rate is less than 2% which makes it less deadly than the common flu.
You’ll be absolutely fine.

Woohoo, delighted. What a glorious day. I was looking for an excuse to go on the beer and this is it.
