It's not that crazy to assume he's fit and the club is happy for him not to play?

We're talking about a manager who rushed him back to play against Rotherham in the cup and put him straight back in the squad in December.

Was this all part of the conspiracy to make it look like he had aggravated the injury?

It's tinfoil hat stuff.

Incidentally, to all the people who are saying he's not all that he stood out as our best player by a country mile in that half against Newcastle.

100% successful take-ons
91% pass accuracy
5/6 long balls
4 ball recoveries
3 shots (2 on target)
3 tackles won
2 key passes
and he was streets ahead of anyone on the pitch when he played vs Watford after coming back from injury. He's still our best player no matter you think about his attitude.

Are we back again pretending he did nothing wrong and everything was media conspiracy against him, including his brother, mamager's rambling all while that manager is being paid by Pogba to talk what he wants him to talk?

Just happy to keep a star player rather than spend money on a replacement. He'll never be a legend here, even if we win everything with him. No statue, no stand, no testimonial. Keep Pogba, get Sancho, win the league.

Apparently, Pogba's brother is back at it again with the Real Madrid agenda. :o

Just as he is back in training, the media circus had to be resumed.

Christ some fans are so insecure. Pretty much all top players flirt with other clubs sometimes. Ronaldo used to do it every season at Real. Messi has done it. Hazard did it at Chelsea. It's part of football and I have no idea why fans are so sensitive.

It's just playing the game. Pogba will either get a move away or he will sign a big new contract. Until then he is a United player. He also happens to be extremely good at what he does, so I have no idea why you wouldn't want him back playing in the squad.

He said he wants him to join Madrid that's all. Who cares anyway?

Of course he will be talking shit he literally has a show on a Madrid propaganda channel.

It's his opinion not Pogba's. He is not saying it's Pogba's either.

Do you take responsibility for what your brother (or other family members) say?

And agents are not paid to chat shite in the press, they are paid to negotiate contracts and such on behalf of a player. Until Pogba himself comes out and equivocally states he wants to leave, or refuses to train etc, I think he should be offered the benefit of doubt.

I'm convinced that Pogba will stay & sign a new contract if we get Champions League. He wasn't motivated when it looked like we weren't getting CL.
Well like Barney Ronay wrote yesterday, all you have to do is look at Fernandez. A class midfielder who wants to be at Old Trafford. Whether we have CL or don't.
I'm also quite sure that if we get CL football then we get Sancho.
If we don't get CL then Pogba will leave, we won't get Sancho and we will get Grealish.
You make a good case. I guess what puts me off him is his agent. And I suspect that SAF/Jose were not too far off the mark in their judgement. I do like him on the pitch, those amazing passes, etc. But his head has been turned. Temprament is lacking. I don't have an agenda against PP. Was rooting for him once he came back here. Now? I couldn't give a toss. Certainly he would be a long way behind Fred in my line-up.

Not great is it that.

To me if Pogba stays we need Sancho.

If he goes we need Sancho and Grealish.

Or two players of that Ilk. Anything else and we are likely just worsening our squad over improving it.

For now. He might get bored of carrying if we don't improve in 4 years. Who is to say.

Bizarre take considering Pogba was our best player last season and injuries have kept him out this year.

Let’s see what happens when Bruno is 4 years in and the wheels are spinning. He pushed for a move away from Sporting when they couldn’t match his ambition and started to lose his discipline on and off the field.

Ambitious players are great to have when things are going well, but if they’re employer doesn’t uphold their end of the bargain, I don’t blame them for considering their options.

He's a great payer, but he bring a lot of drama with him. Whilst some of it may be the media's fault - his brother and agent are not positive influencers on him and don't make him or the club lok good.

If we get the right money for him, let him go. As much as his playing ability (when he can be arsed and is healthy) will be missed, what we need in a transitional period is stability and balance - not someone (and/or their agent) upsetting the apple cart.

I agree in that I don't care if he stays, I'd rather Grealish. For the sake of not having to try and buy another player and acknowledging his actual quality on the pitch in a good functional team for once, I'm happy for him to stay. He gets in ahead of Fred in the 90% of our games where we dominate possession. Atleast if he doesn't show up he can now be replaced by other midfielders who are in form.

I also don't believe his temperament would be lacking in a title challenging team, in the CL, with players battling for places and a good atmosphere, in a squad full of leaders and motivated players. Real Madrid look in a worse position as a squad than we are now. His only options would be PSG or Juve, neither of which I think will buy him.

It is not hard to see why Pogba was fed up playing for us under Jose.

Can you imagine our back 5 with the following

Bruno - Matic - Pogba
Sancho - Martial - Rashford

I really hope we get CL.

If he wants to leave, let him bring us a worthy offer. If not, then just stfu, stay professional and respect the contract. In case of poor performances, enjoy the bench or the stands just like Pereira and Lingard.

The Pogba being not arsed narrative has never sat well with me.

I myself in all his years here haven't witnessed many a game where he didn't have our most touches, most passes, most chances created and just in general tried the most things.

Always tried and never hid. His running stats are actually grand too, not Fred levels but not where near the worst.

Will always say he is biggest crime was being the best player in a useless team.

Even if you hate him now for Raiolas and his brothers antics you all got to remember the hate started on the pitch which is mad considering even his harshest critics can't deny the plain and simple truth that every single game it was pretty much his sole responsibility to do everything.

Our tactic was always just pass to Pogba, players avoided responsibility due to this.

Now we need to be careful that Bruno is never our soul createor or else it will become very easy to man mark him out of games.

The only thing that bothers me is how Pogba fans seem to forget that Pogba also controls his agent, if he doesn´t like what he is saying he could shut him up. But I don´t doubt he has been injured and he has been working on a comeback. But again Riola and his constant clickbait headline quotes are really tiresome. But let´s see the effort from Pogba on the last part of the season in our quest for EC and a FA cup plus the CL spot.

If my brother or agent chat shit about me I would definitely at least make social media post denying it. There is obviously a reason he is keeping quiet. If he loved it here I am pretty sure he would say something on the matter.

You lot hated when he used social media, regardless of the use.

And most of yous don't acknowledge when he has United posts on it anyways.....

I would be delighted if he stayed and focused on Manchester United, even if I don't think he is that great player as some people think, in top form he is still far better than anything we can buy at similar price.

However, that doesn't mean I am not allowed to criticise him.

Right now I'm really not fussed if he leaves in the summer. I just hope that he is motivated to prove himself for the French team and we benefit from that in him helping us to the Europa League and FA Cup double along with 3rd place.

In that scenario his transfer fee should also be pretty high so everyone is happy.

Why do his fans always act like idiots when discussing about him? Probably because majority of you are 16 year olds.

Posting about having fun while injured and posting about denying rumours of going to different club are two completely different things in the eyes of Manchester United supporter.

Whilst I do understand this, and accept your point to an extent - i only ever saw the passion he had playing for France a handful of time for us.

That is an excellent team (hoping Pogba cut his off field stuff and Martial establish himself as a 30 goal number-9)

Talent is there for sure, When Rashford was carrying this team few months back we all though this team needed 5 or 6 top players but just with an addition of a player like Bruno now that number came down to 2/3 more good signings. Imagine what someone like Sancho can bring to this team? we will be great again.

If I am you, I would add an experienced striker like Abumayang or Cavani as a backup striker to this team but that is just my opinion.

I'm a Manchester United fan, not a Pogba fan. I just defend him cause in my eyes he was never the problem here, our problem has always been the fact our other players lack the quality required. All the effort in the world will never make a bad player good, so that is why when we would lose and Pogba got 90% of the blame it would do my head in. Cause what I would see is a few good players playing with some terrible ones. Always remember the fans turned on Pogba before he ever wanted to leave. They hated his hair first, we would lose, he would be our best player or one of them and somehow his haircut legitimately was blamed. Must have felt the love when playing knowing it didn't matter what he did if we lost.

And yeah sure we are all 16. Great discussion that.

Have a good one mate.

If Sir Alex was still in charge, Pogba will never play another game for us. He and his agent attitude are so disrespectful to Man utd, the worst I have ever seen in our history.

This isn't about pride. This is to set the high discipline and standard required to be successful at Man Utd.

No player is bigger than the club and Sir Alex always showed who is the real boss and leader at Man Utd.
This. Rooney‘s status on the squad was never the same after SAF called him on his threats to leave.

I expect the club will dispose of Pogba and his odious leech agent this summer. Lingard and DDG are represented by the same dimwit, but they haven’t let the obnoxious noisemaker speak the way Pogba has about the club.

Someone needs to sell paper, what do you expect. Do you believe Club will be looking for new prospect as early as March? I doubt any club will host any serious discussion until the next International Break.

It's not gossip, it's actual comment from Pogba's brother, again.

I honestly have no idea what to think anymore, but Ole said everything that is reported in the media will be discussed with Pogba behind close doors. It might be more in it than people would like to believe.

Honestly think he will come back and feck things up, might have one great game but more often then not he’ll underwhelm and unbalance is.

I’m now in camp “feck him” Fernandes, Bruno, McTomminay none might be as talented as him but all play for the team before themselves. Hopefully by the October next season I’ll change to camp “Ole in”

We need our squad and if his attitude is right then he should be involved more-so than Andreas or Lingard from what I have seen really, especially in those tight games.

I'd like to see him involved against LASK at Old Trafford and Norwich in the FA Cup in some capacity, as I am expecting plenty of changes in those two games anyway before our final charge at the League with the first choice players.

The comment was nothing though.

He didn't claim Pogba's wanted to go to Madrid or is going to Madrid.

He said he wants to see Pogba at Madrid. It's literally a nothing statement. His brother never supported us so it makes sense.

Difference is Pogba has always maintained he loves United. Sure he had no reason to come back if he didn't.
