It was always going to happen. Bush got a bump with 9/11 and it fell soon after .The country will automatically rally around the President in a moment of crisis.

Fauci's toast anyway. Trump already sent Navarro forth to discredit him. Soon we'll see a more compliant stooge taking his place.
That would be plumb foolish. Navarro who has no medical background is already getting the flack from the media. For me it is utterly shocking how Americans can keep supporting an imbecile like him. It is one thing not to want Hillary Clinton as the President but another to support Trump now when he is lying and flailing his way including stabbing all friendly countries in the back too.

It's that thing that people do when they know they're wrong but admitting they're wrong is seen to be more embarrassing than their current position so they double down, even though they know better.

Did anyone see or hear about what Modly did? The man is an imbecile too. You simply do not address a ship and denounce the just relieved captain whom you relieved because he showed your incompetency. A Captain who saved the lives of his sailors by sacrificing his career. What is happening to the US of A? Run by lunatics and supported by lunatics.

He also apparently said the CO is a traitor or similar, which might be a court martial offense.

He basically accused the US Navy of being incompetent. You do not get to be a carrier Captain in the US Navy if you are incompetent. Because only the selected few who are going to be promoted to Flag rank gets to be a Captain of a US Navy aircraft carrier. It is like private Pike in charge of the MOD and now Beetle Bailey in charge of the US Navy now.

Yep. Can't believe reading what he said. How is that any better than the supposedly terrible thing the Cap did? I'd say it's worse, and I assume many in the navy will take great offense to it as well.

A Captain's duty is to his men. No sailor like Captain Brett Crozier who is a Captain of a US Carrier would make such a decision if he had any other choice. He knows he would get fired too. He gave up his career for his sailors.

Geez, every time Pence speaks on these conferences he fools me on thinking that he is a genuinely nice man. Unlike his boss, he speaks nicely and looks really concerned.

Of course, he is a total twat.

For generations people thought that being president really wasn't something anyone could just become. American Dream and all yes, but let's be realistic Johnny, you ain't gonna be President! Thanks to Donnie it's clear that all you need to do is surround yourself with people smarter than you and you can be the dumbest and emotionless motherfrcker around and still be President.

At this point - we may as well feck everything up and expedite whatever mass extinction we got coming for us.
If videogames have taught me anything it's that there is Lovecraftian horror lurking beneath the surface of the moon just waiting for us to mess with it.

We're fecked.

This is a bit ridiculous. He owns like 400 bucks of that company (via an index fund that holds some other company that has shares in that company). Ridiculous to have this on the newspaper but the standards of journalism have fallen. It is more about sensational headlines and partisanship rather than true information.

Mike Cernovich? Are you kidding me?
Is he wrong (whoever is him)? Does the holding of Trump is via an index fund (which hold dozens to thousands of companies)?

I think here clearly is not Trump getting rich from this, but him bragging how right he was trusting on this random drug despite that the doctors were scepter. Another ego boost for prophet Trump.

Anyway, here is the link to his financial disclosure: http://pfds.opensecrets.org/N00023864_2018.pdf

Check page 38 for that index fund that holds the company in question.

We have absolutely zero knowledge of Trump’s private finances and investments. A single, selective filing, which I’m struggling to source myself, proves absolutely nothing.

Edited my post to add the link to it. Is it correct or not?

I thought that we do not know about his tax filing, not about the businesses he own. Am I right on this?

Also, why did NYT did not tell the worth of his stake at that company? Could it be that because it is small? In which case, it makes it irrelevant and the entire article bullshit.

So you're ok with Trump profiting from his office, in violation of the Constitution, so long as it's only a little bit?

He had a go at that senior reporter and none of his colleagues stood up for him. Why can't these fecking wankers get together on this and stop letting him get away with his bullshit. I hate watching these briefings now and seeing them cower before him. Why can't one of them show some fecking balls? He even called one woman 'horrid'.......can't anybody call him out on that FFS?

I know, it's pathetic and I still can't believe they haven't learned how to handle him. It's been nearly 4 years ffs. He had a go at three female reporters yesterday, all because he didn't like the questions they asked.

I thought this one was particularly nasty.

The fact Trump attacking female reporters has become so commonplace in his daily campaign rallies, I mean virus briefing reports, that reporters actually expect it to be a daily occurrence.

Trump is now arm twisting India to release some of Hydroxychloroquine to US. Does he know of some research results that someone like Fauci is not aware of? It’s quite bizarre his obsession with this- more than what we’ve seen so far.

The point of his tax filings is because it sheds light on his financial arrangements, not to see how much tax he is paying.

It also does not in any way shape or form make the entire article bullshit. Have you actually read the entire article? It's not predicated on Trump's personal investment at all, they only make a very minor reference to that. The article itself spends most of it's content looking at other possibilities like Big Pharma companies lobbying Trump, big donors with investments and Rudy Giuliani seemingly at the centre of it lobbying Trump on behalf of others such as the Doctors who had been on Ingram's show. It's even a balanced enough article to give the perspective of a Trump supporting Republican that his intentions are entirely altruistic and merely trying to instil hope in the people he leads.

If you've read Cernovich's assessment that it's just $400 and the entire article is nonsense, you doing it a major disservice. There's other revelations in there which are far more damning.
