Did they show the VAR check of the 2nd goal? Normally they do. The NBC broadcast haven't even drawn a line on the pitch themselves during the half time analysis.
I don't think they care with no crowd to go ballistic, so they just let it slide. Same with pen incidents. If there's a roaring crowd the ref's more liable to think "was there something in that, can we check that?" whereas now play just goes on.

We were debating the Shaw offside when they showed the side view, so odd that Gary barely mentioned it. It looked very close but maybe the left back is stepping back just enough.

    Couple of observations

Shaws inside runs are causing Brighton no end of trouble. They can't push him out wide when he's already infield. And even if he doesn't receive the ball, it's giving Rashford a lot of space.

Maguires driving balls out to Greenwood and AWB have been superb. They're so flat the fullbacks can't adjust in time. Its definitely something we've worked on. It just gives us the opportunity to open up the pitch.

Lindelof has been given license to carry the ball forward. Matic and Pogba are automatically dropping in to cover. It's a simple thing but it's happening regularly.

We've just added half a dozen different ways of attacking teams. It's giving our front 5 opportunities to find space. It's so encouraging to see.

    Good observations.

Very disappointed we’ve set up to defend rather than play, that’s unlike us. We’ve also rested to of our most important attackers but I guess that makes sense given the aNorwich game coming up.

But for you lot it shows how much more creative your team is compared to the first half of the season. The Pogba Bruno partnership is blossoming and your front line makes you dangerous from all sides.

We’re not playing well, but don’t let that take anything away from United, you’re looking seriously impressive.

    Great post.

We've also been very quick with our short passing on the edge of the box on either side, now that we're only fielding players who are technically good. Triangles on the left with Shaw, Rashford, Bruno, Matic. And on the right with Pogba, Greenwood, Bruno, and to a lesser extend AWB.

It's looking a lot better than before. Carrying on from the Sheffield performance. I'm really starting to like this.
Absolutely. And with those players, we seem infinitely more confident in tight spaces. All our play isn't drifting out wide. As yup say, quick, short passing is opening up those small spaces in between their midfield and defense.

I dunno. The way Brighton set up today just makes you think we're getting our fear factor back. Teams are shared of our front 5.

While Bruno, Pog and Greeny will get all the plaudits, and rightly so, I'm loving Shaw's performance so far. He has been fantastic. Running up and down the flanks and supporting every attack of our. And all this despite him having played every minute since the restart

Good first half, looking dangerous vs a team dropping deep, been a while since that’s happened

This has been so infuriating to listen to all season 'we are poor at breaking teams down' well yeah, who wouldn't be when you are forced to play the likes of lingard, mata, pierrea. People have chosen to ignore this or even worse maybe didnt understand it and use it as a stick to bash ole.

Agreed, fernandes getting more plaudits but I actually think he’s been a little wasteful in the final third, pogba is constantly supplying the danger men one of them needs to start supplying martial

Thankfully Bruno has that freedom to make mistakes. It's huge for us that he doesn't stop trying. His creativity doesn't always work but when it does it seems to really really work and confuse the other team almost.

Pogba proving why he is played in the pivot too. His passing between the lines is great, as is his ability to join the attack.

first goal wouldn’t have been scored if Lindelof hadn’t made a run and occupied the right back. Amazing how something so simple and ordinary can make the difference. Our team looks well coached.

He’s hasn’t quite done as well as we hoped when we signed him, but keeps showing flashed of what he can do. hopefully he can shine now

They are idiots. Clearly can't wait to attack Rashford. Probably same idiots who called him Rashford 18 months ago.

We have some truly abysmal plastic fans. It annoys the hell out of me. We are playing great. Enjoy it you miserable morons.

Attack the comment not the poster.

Lamptey off at half time after a non-existent first half. @duffer really did a number on him with all his pre-game praise. Jinxmaster.

I need martial and rashford to score for my fantasy. Brighton are attacking kore now so it shouldn’t be a problem.

That's a yellow and not the ones on Rashford/Pogba? fecking refs, they don't even try to hide their shitness.
