Ridiculously tough game. Their intensity was just ludicrous.

Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't go.

She didn't go.

Shite. You could see this on the cards last week but we got away with it, it’s caught up with us tonight. Southampton were a bunch of game raising ****s though.

Said for a long time. They can’t do it under pressure. If we don’t make Champions League this run of games will mean absolutely nothing.

Poor tonight really. Good in spells but both Martial and Rashford missed sitters. De Gea and Pogba poor for their first goal. And then Ole subbing off both Pogba and Bruno at the end.

Southampton were really good they pressed and pressed when we had the ball and never let us settle.. and we looked unsettled. we had the chances to win but didnt take them.
Overall you have to say fair result.

Said it many times. He needs replacing. Someone better needs to partner Maguire. Someone who is good in the air and has a more physical and athletic precense.

Lindelof is fine as a squad player. Not as an automatic choice in the first eleven. I would give Bailly a run.

Fortunately both Chelsea and Leicester still have some tough fixtures to go. However, we can't afford any more slip ups.

We really should have put the game to bed long before we gifted the equaliser. Its really poor how badly we deal with aerial balls. Clear the cross and we win.

Its no surprise though that, when you take the best players out of our team, we start looking again like the team that couldn't beat Southampton, Burnley etc. Maybe Ole was thinking about Thursday with the substitutions? They didn't help tonight.

Southampton played really well. Shows how much of a draw we are to still fight like your life depends on it when they actually have nothing to play for.

We were unlucky with Williams going off at the end. But I guess draw is a fair result.

Oh & Wan-Bisaker was absolutely terrible

How can we get outfought by a midtable team with nothing to play for in a game which could have taken us to 3rd??

Absolutely pathetic. Top 2 should get CL football, that's it. So so so so bad. Every time there's a hint of a chance to move up the table, we do that. Now see Chelsea and Leicester gain confidence from this.

Pathetic.

Feck.

Not like we all didn't know what was going to happen, right?

The poor start. The Pogba mistake. The red card not given. The Shaw injury. The Williams injury. The last minute goal.

We all knew it. Makes it just worst.

Feck feck feck

Don't know why we were just standing off of them. We have never been good playing like that ffs

Unlucky with injuries, the Shaw injury was a big blow. And the Williams injury really rocked us at the end. If not for that I reckon we’d have seen it out.

Fuming, we don't realise how important those 4 points would have been.

Magic and Rashford should do better and Lindelof common man!!

Is there anyone who genuinely didn’t know that was definitely going to happen at the end?

I spent the entire second half waiting on that exact moment.

We looked dead on our feet for a large spell at the end.

Should have made some subs earlier. Southampton were really good and we looked absolutely shattered by the 65th min.
Ah well...

This is our recent DNA.

We always, always, always fall flat on our faces when presented with an open goal.

Expect more of the same Thursday.

Credit to Southampton they did a number on us, but we were mostly shocking apart from a few like Martial. Bruno's worse game in a Utd shirt, that defence was just asking for trouble all night.

Just so bitterly disappointed that we messed it up, and how obvious it felt when it finally went in at the end.

Big blow, because that game will have taken a lot out of us.

We paid the price for cowardice. We played the whole game on the edge of our own box. From the first goal we needed to be ten yards further up the pitch. Rashford and Martial were having to do absolutely everything on their own to try and drag us to a win.

Massive opportunity lost. Could quite easily see that proving pivotal at the end of the season.

Hard truth is we don't have enough skill to play against high energy high pressing team. Period.

Predictable; we were basically second-best all game.

Southampton were dedicated to their task right up to the 99th minute, like teams usually are against United.

Pathetic. We invited that onto ourselves. Absolutely shocking tactics to sit back and let them at us for the last 25 mins or so. What the feck did we expect was going to happen.

We’ve got pair average centre back there who give me no confidence what so ever to hold on to lead like that.

Got what we deserved out of the game , overall a very poor performance.

Puts top 4 back in jeopardy again , another misstep before the final day and it is likely Europa cup again.

Got what we deserve, Maguire, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, Pogba and Fernandes were absolutely nowhere near it.

These lads don't want top 4. Ole challenged our team, no one should outrun a United team, well they just did and with better players they'd have beat us.

Well... We'll just have to beat Leicester ourselves if it comes down to it. Bruno and Pogba were just not on top of it today.

We still control our destiny for top 4 but my god that was an absolutely despicable performance. Too many players to blame. Pogba being an idiot for their first and De Gea not even going for the ball on their second.

Also, refs and VAR fecked up by not giving that imhotep looking cnut a red.

Tough break, I think if we had 11 men we'd have seen it out
Or - and this is a revolutionary thought - if we had attempted to keep the ball, occasionally pass it to someone in a red shirt. That, too, might have helped I think.

I absolutely hate this fecking team at times. How many times are we gonna shoot ourselves in the foot for 4th? This has been going on for years now.

Trash performance all around, a part from 10 minutes after their goal we did nothing. AWB worst on the pitch today, followed by the ref allowing them to do whatever they wanted all game, while punishing us for the slightest indiscretion.

Decent result in what I thought would be our toughest game in the run in. Ref didn't help us at all and it would have been a routine win if Romeu got what he deserved. We didn't play well however. I'd love to know what their fitness regime is!

Pretty simple win the last 3 games and we get top 4.
