People treat Bundesliga like it's some kind of farmers league still. Sure PL is a better and tougher league but the difference is not so stark that Sancho will have a lot of trouble bedding in...
If you listen to some people here, there are only 2 quality leagues in the world: Premier League and La Liga. Utter nonsense of course

Has it been stated anywhere how long his vacation is for now?

I think it's been pretty standard for most of our high profile transfers the last years to have our negotiation team and the selling club hash out details with the assistance of the players agent. If the two clubs agree, the agent will likely inform the player of his options while he is still on vacation, but nobody expects him to make a full decision before his vacation is over. Let him mull it over. Or even if he does make a decision, nothing is expected to move further before the vacation is over and next steps like final details on personal terms, medical and so on can be completed.

As much as we muppets would like it, we don't ask high profile players to cut their vacations short. Thus no official bids until then either, but likely we'll have agreed all the deal terms before then.

Dortmund is doing a digital pre-season "tour" for China this year, letting fans view livestreams of their trainings back in Dortmund with Chinese commentary, digital meet and greet with players etc, not sure when it starts? Bayern's similar thing started 25th of July and ends August 2nd.
If the clubs are close I doubt Dortmund would want Sancho to partake in this online stuff.
Most high profile transfers is already agreed in principle with player and agent before anything is agreed with the club.

I'll add in my answer to a similar reply.
Oh I agree that we know he's interested, but there's a difference in saying you'd want to come and that the proposed terms look good, to actually making the life-altering decision once all the terms are on the table. Maybe Dortmund counter-offers. Maybe Sancho woke up on the other side of the bed.

There's a difference in agreeing you would want to do this, and actually do it.
Somewhat similar (but still very different) to a person applying for a job, going through interview process, but not making the final call to leave the other job until an offer is on the table with all the facts.

But yes. We know he wants to come, if not the clubs won't be negotiating this much. But we still have to wait for his vacation to end before it can move past the negotiation phase.

I'm not worried by him. It's clear he's one of the players who's struggled with fitness during lockdown (no shit, he's been sprinting up and down the channel constantly). He's a terrific athlete, very similar to Valencia in that regard. His final product is what will need working on (along with his confidence in the final third). But there were signs he's improving on that. Laird is probably 12 months away from breaking through but he's another player that could easily step up like Williams but the difference being his main strength is his attacking play. I rate him very highly.
I don't think he will be reluctant to get forward, it's just the final ball and link up that is needed. I see that he's been hammered by a few posters but I think his linkup on the right hand side has progressed somewhat over the course of the season but he's dipped with the rest these last few games in particular.

We need the right tactics and press for him to stay forward for the majority of the game. We can't push him up constantly when we don't have control of the game, this is why a Matic backup signing is very important, not just to benefit AWB but more so to control games more effectively. There were spells this season where we didn't have control of games and I don't think an extra-attacking fullback would have helped in that situation, once we have that control I'm all for attacking full backs.

Shaw has also been a miss in these last games, his overlapping on the left has been a good outlet at times in the recent good spell we had.
I think the point made about Hakimi earlier in the thread was an excellent one because as superb as Sancho is, and has been, Hakimi has been a revelation flanking him and making himself available for any lay off, pass, or one-two Sancho wants. Even when Sancho tucks, Hakimi immediately flanks wide and takes men with him on the overlap, or at least immediately presents them with the dilemma of stick or twist.

They're an amazing tandem and I don't think AWB can match that, but I hope he can 'flow' and not be static, hesitant or just unaware of what he should or could be doing to make that right flank as difficult as possible for the opposition to defend.

It's going to be a big test for him because he'll see far more of the ball and be under pressure to make productive use of it than he'll have known in his career to date.

Could be his time to come of age. Think it's a big challenge for him as our intricacy will go up notches with Sancho's style of play and the way he forces others to match that bar.

Love this setup!

I’d been wondering if Bruno & Pogba could play together in the midfield some games but didn’t want to appear daft mentioning it on here. But surely it could be possible when teams are parking the bus? Or at least possible for second halves of games when securing a win is crucial?

Watching English teams getting trashed in Europe by teams from "bad leagues" should put things a bit into perspective. There is a difference but its less than what people think. Yes the top6-8 teams in the EPL are better than La Liga/Serie A etc combined, but after that it's really a free-for all.

I wasn't really serious, but sure. Wouldn't mind seeing it, if only as an experiment to break our goal scoring (and conceding) record in a half or something.

Yes I agree it would be a higher pressure than he's known to get forward, like you say hopefully it will be the making of him. He is probably the best athlete in the team so I I don't think the physical aspect of getting up and down the flank poses a problem, its indeed the inclination to do so and not take the safer option.

I have liked some of AWB's linkup this season, he's not scared to play a quick one-two or a few intricate passes to get out of trouble on the wing, if he can get up the pitch and link well with Sancho it will hopefully provide a similar Sancho-Hakimi type situation for us.

Regarding the bolded part I really hope to see this, we've had some great attacking play in the good spells we've had (particularly the recent free scoring run we were in) and if we can increase that intricacy and retain the ball high up the pitch as a result I really think it will take us to the next level.

No idea who this is and the photo i guess is shopped but looks good

He apparently works or knows people who work in the marketing department, not sure which one it is. His track record last summer was very good as far as I can remember, however, he's got a time frame of 2 weeks for this deal to be done so we'll see.

Edit: he's also the first to put forward that we're in for Aaron Connolly of Brighton

Don't get me wrong, it clearly benefits Sancho having Hakimi at Dortmund but that is only one season. Sancho performed just fine with Lukasz Piszczek at right back. I don't think its that much of an issue in all honesty.

It's a Photoshop?
Yes, I saw the account that made it in excitement to see what he would look like. Not sure if this guy is claiming it to be a real press shot or not, but I've seen him plenty before and he's as fake as Pamela Andersons tits.

Surely Pamela's tits aren't photoshopped?!

Right, I just watched a couple of his youtube highlight videos. He has even better highlights than Bruno. He's such a natural with the ball when dribbling. Also who said he is slow? Unless the videos are recorded on double speed, he is rapid!

Come on man, of course it is....but is that seriously gonna get in the way of your muppetting???
Take it to the "ITK thread" where the other make believers hang out. We know Sancho is going to happen, we don't need another kid in his bedroom telling us fancy stories first.

Sorry, I must have missed what he called wrong, what did he get wrong?
What did he get right do you mean? all he ever did was repeat what the press said and claimed like it was inside information.

Amazing how non of these guys picked up the Ighalo transfer when the press hadn't talked of him for 2/3 weeks.

True  I've thought it was a nailed on transfer for months tbh. But I find it all part of the fun during muppet season.

It's crazy. Sancho is the definition of explosive but I think we've already seen most people are poor judges of speed. Some used to say Smalling was slow and Greenwood too

That seems to be right from the 'ITK' playbook to be fair. Then they can claim they were never wrong

I think it's all part of the fun as well though. I don't take these things too seriously and it's quite funny watching them backtrack when they get things wrong.

geez man, hard day?

I realize it was not a real photo of Sancho in a Utd shirt, just excited about an idea of what he looks like in our kit and it does look good, photoshopped or not, muppetry and all that. I had no idea this guy tweeting was som alleged ITK user from reddit.

We got 350 pages of all kinds of stuff, but hey if it makes you feel better I can make my next post be another discussion of if Sancho can make it with a RB behind like AWB as opposed someone like Hakimi who is more offensive.
