The least I can see the 80m price tag reducing to is 60m and nothing lessSo didnt Leverkusen slap a £100m price tag on Havertz and now selling him for less?

AWB was quoted for £70 m.There is no way Villa would not slap an £80m figure on his head and then sell for nearly £30-£35m less
Define really special.I'd loathe to miss out on him to one of the league rivals as I think he is a really special player.
I agree, but we havent even negotiated with Villa yet.they are far from having agreed a price. Leverkusen are playing hardball and want him to play in the EL
Yeah, well if its £45m and £15m add ons then I wouldn't be opposed to that. The add ons have to be winning the league and stuff not appearances. The least I can see the 80m price tag reducing to is 60m and nothing less
People just want the shiny new toy even though their raincoat is leaking.
Less than 55m base priceI'd like to see a poll about the maximum amount we should stop looking at Grealish and look elsewhere. Something like - Less than 45m, Less than 60m, Less than 80m
Presume they are either talking about needing a CB or CDM but not sure which
Luxury player when we have more glaring holes in our team that need patching.
Or just don't rate the likes of Fred and Dan JamesPeople just want the shiny new toy even though their raincoat is leaking.
Have you seen the drop of in quality? The rain coat has a massive hole in it.People just want the shiny new toy even though their raincoat is leaking.
What does Fred have to do with anything? He's playing in a completely different position. James has room for improvement, but blowing half of our alleged budget on a luxury player such is Grealish, is unwise imo.Or just don't rate the likes of Fred and Dan James
Yeah there is a definite drop off in qualityHave you seen the drop of in quality? The rain coat has a massive hole in it.
I wouldn't get him for more than 45m. But he isn't a luxury player. What holes do we have in our starting line up?Luxury player when we have more glaring holes in our team that need patching.
Exactly my point, first strengthen in the areas that are burning issues in the first team, then think about additions to the squad. Grealish isn't going anywhere, he'll be available next year as well.Have you seen the drop of in quality? The rain coat has a massive hole in it.
For starters we need a proper RW, then we definitely need someone to slowly phase out Matic and by the looks of it, we will need another CB as well.I wouldn't get him for more than 45m. But he isn't a luxury player. What holes do we have in our starting line up?
I completely agree but about finding a replacement for Matic but Utd clearly don't see this as an issue at allFor starters we need a proper RW, then we definitely need someone to slowly phase out Matic and by the looks of it, we will need another CB as well.
Sounds like we are signing Sancho and also looking at CB.For starters we need a proper RW, then we definitely need someone to slowly phase out Matic and by the looks of it, we will need another CB as well.
We have to remember, we are playing CL now, we cannot go into a mid week game with Lingard, Perreira, James, Mata and youngsters in those games.Yeah there is a definite drop off in quality
That is a fair point, it sure looks that way with his recent contract extension but we can never know.I completely agree but about finding a replacement for Matic but Utd clearly don't see this as an issue at all
The only glaring hole we have is RW and it looks like we're getting Sancho for that. Other than that we could do with reinforcements at CAM/CDM/CB but I wouldn't say one of those is more glaring than the other.Luxury player when we have more glaring holes in our team that need patching.
May not be really special but he got something more than the skill. We need players with that leadership and responsibility to play for big clubs. He got that and comes to ability he is not short of that either.Define really special.
Very good, I'll admit but 'really special?'
Single-handedly kept Villa up. he's clearly not an OzilLuxury player when we have more glaring holes in our team that need patching.
I agree with what you are saying. He isnt top priority.Exactly my point, first strengthen in the areas that are burning issues in the first team, then think about additions to the squad. Grealish isn't going anywhere, he'll be available next year as well.
Euros not £Relegated Bournemouth moving Ake on for £41m won't help.
Oh God no. I am sick to death of us playing midfielders on the wing. We did it with Mata and Perierra. Grealish on the wing wouldn't work as he has no pace. Would rather play Dan James there.Than we don't agree about his qualities. He will be a first team player, get tons of games and will be a big player for us, imo. Rashford has been awful since the restart, imagine having Grealish as an option for his position. Bruno could have been rested a lot more.
Haven't seen enough of Luiz Alberto to comment, but Havertz would be a lot more expensive than Grealish and a bigger gamble. Coutinho, we should steer well clear. I don't think we'll have to spend north of 60m to get Grealish either
I wholeheartedly disagree with that notion. Like i said people want a new toy for the sake of it and that's it. We can get Buendia and VDB for the money we'd be forced to pay Grealish. The only glaring hole we have is RW and it looks like we're getting Sancho for that. Other than that we could do with reinforcements at CAM/CDM/CB but I wouldn't say one of those is more glaring than the other.
If you follow the news you would see that we are close to getting Sancho - a proper RW, all the reliable journalists have also said we want a CB and Ole sees Mctominay as Matic's successorFor starters we need a proper RW, then we definitely need someone to slowly phase out Matic and by the looks of it, we will need another CB as well.
Think you're exaggerating a bit or are you referring to his goal in the last game?Single-handedly kept Villa up. he's clearly not an Ozil
The 5 sub rule definitely means that if Grealish were to come, we could rotate our attacking players a lot better than we could with the previous 3 sub rule. It works hugely to our advantage. This is a huge plus in the column for why we should sign Grealish. I think it hinges on the other transfer options. If we manage to pull off the deal for Sancho, that could majorly impact on whether or not we go for Grealish, or whether we could afford both. The 5 subs rule has changed a lot, there will be enough game time for everybody. Grealish really should be looking to move this summer if he has any ambition.
Thing is, we won't be attacking all competitions next season anyway, this is a multi-year project.I agree with what you are saying. He isnt top priority.
RW has to be the highest priority this summer
CDM/CB - is a second on the list IMO, however; I cannot see us getting both.
AM - This is more a squad priority, only because we cannot have our forwards tired in CL and PL campaign.
I think we can get away with a Fred / McTominay covering for Matic for one season. However; if we did sign a DM, it would add 5/6 points in the league compared to Fred and Mctominay
Telegraph, Mail, Sun (lol) all say £41m?Euros not £
