Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

This isn't happening until after Europa League most likely.

Until sancho isn't at training, I don't think we will be anywhere near getting him. I also think we're going to take this down to the last weeks of the transfer window as a way to put pressure on dortmund.

Everyone knows that Sancho wants to leave. The pressure is on dortmund to sell or end up with an "unhappy" player next season.

Can't believe fans actually think he's going to be announced today. I think this will drag for another 2 weeks.

If the deal isn't agreed by Monday( which looks like it won't ), then I'd say it makes sense to delay it until early September. Our players will be in Germany till 21st August ( hopefully) and then will have a 2 week break, based on what Ole said in the last press conference. So it won't make any sense to sign Sancho and then not have him do any training or to do it alone. He'd be better off continuing the pre-season with Dortmund, like Maguire did last season and join us just before the season starts.

I really worry for the mental state of some of the people in this thread if this doesn't work out.

I remember Griezmann looked a sure thing, the news slowly started to die down then that brief regarding our loss in interest. So many people were trying so desperately to cling onto any remaining hope.

Think this one could be even worse, like Thiago levels of meltdown, or even worse.

It won't be officially announced today, and anyone who genuinely thinks that is not only setting themselves up for disappointment, they're proper silly sausages. I presume the talk of it happening is 99% tongue in cheek. Patience muppets.

I think we'll get some positive news though.

I kinda get that.

I recall prior to Bruno signing that he'd been removed from all publicity shots on SL's website etc. It was a huge pointer that he was off.

So you don`t think its happening and ther`s zero hope in your eyes??
And this is not like Griezmann at all there is no transfer ban as a barrier and Thiago was a bad one yes but Sancho`s deal is so advanced to the extent where there would be VERY heavy backlash towards Woodward if it didn`t happpen

Yea mate, it usually happens that way for such high profile transfers doesnt it? If my memory serves me correctly, Maguire was also left out of the leiceister squad in preseason a few days before we confirmed the transfer.

I'm pretty sure Maguire played a preseason game for Leicester just a couple of days before he signed for us.

edit: Maguire played on July 27th, signed for us on Aug 2.

Apparently they're close to signing Jamie Bynoe-Gittens who is a 15 year old wide forward at Man City and the best English attacking talent in his age group currently.

You think a 15 year old will be Sancho's replacement? He wouldn't even be legally allowed to play until his next birthday ;)

That kind of low risk high reward transfer probably runs independently of of the whole Sancho story.

For fans who watch watch other than youtube highlights and social media will know that BVB already have a young player coming through in Reyna, so if BVB want a Sancho replacement, it will be an experienced one say 21-25 years age. They cannot have a team of Bellingham, Reyna and a 15 year old.

You have now significantly surpassed the Thiago thread in length with no end in sight, you madmen.

Its not even going to be 7777 but 77820.

10 August looks a bit more reasonable.
