Fact of the matter is:
1. Dortmund don't have to sell
2. Sancho may want to leave but United is not the only destination he would like going to. If it were Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real, I think we have had to convince Dortmund and Sancho
3. We can't afford to burn 108m on a single player in this market
4. We are playing the waiting game and I can't see Dortmund blinking as they know that they'll get a higher price for Sancho after the Euros next year and draw in more clubs
5. If we are not buying players until the Sancho deal is sorted, we should atleast get the clearout going and raise money for other signings. (Lingard, Pereira, Romero, Rojo, Bailly all need to leave....) Our own player contract extensions can happen during the course of the season and we shouldn't be wasting time extending them during this window.
6. Lastly, let's take a walk down memory lane, we wanted to get Maguire in the summer of 2018 when he was 60m, we waited for the summer of 2019 and paid 80m for him.
