Under soil heating.
I could smell a con artist from 1000 miles away and I knew @altodevil was one with his post. Cocks out tonight he says   . Similar to the way I can smell Ole. This upcoming season is for Ole to prove me wrong as he clearly didn’t last season. Sancho, Bruno, Mason, or one of our many other world class talent will be his Ronaldo and hide his flaw if we meet my expectations I can imagine. We have a top squad that should be challenging for titles.
Yeah, I'm sure he's sat in his office now thinking about his main objective for this is season is to prove a mental Pochettino internet fanboy wrong.

Or perhaps they just really want to keep him for another year.
Of course they do.

But the point in the quote I highlighted was that he admitted a few months ago that they have to listen to the player and the comments indicate a willingness to sell for the right offer.

If they know he wants to go, they'll surely want that known publicly before they sell him .

Why? It's not a big story in Germany. English press have spread so many stupid and obviously false rumours regarding Bundesliga players over the years people don't take them very seriously anymore. Dortmund seem to have given a clear answer to one of their more reliable outlets, so people who were wondering about it got their answer.
The same clear answer you gave when we signed Kagawa and Mkhi.

There you go. When asked about options you come up with "its not my job". So maybe let the ones who are in that job do their thing? Or is it a general tendency for fans to moan for anything the club does?

How about trying to get a player that fits the profile a manager is looking for? And get the best one out there fitting that profile?

I wish PSG thought that it's wasn't worth paying 180m for talent like Mbappe or even City when they signed KdB for big money pre Neymar transfer. Only if it was so easy to find talent, with fitting profile, shopping in bargain bins that offers similar quality as what Jadon does.

But yeah I guess running the club are clueless fecks who should just listen to fans who witness transfers happening under special circumstances like last year of contract, players recovering from ACL, the club being in ruins ala Valencia.

People complained when we just got the players for the sake of it. People complain when there are standards set for recruitment. The complaints and moaning is the only thing constant here.
What in the actual feck?

What do people think needs to happen next in this public saga? United saying personal terms agreed. Dortmund saying Sancho seems happy and won't agitate to move.

Watzke said this 6 months ago..

"You always have to respect what the player wants," Watzke told Bild. "We already said before corona that our preference is for Jadon to remain with us"

"I can say clearly that even the very rich clubs, despite the current existential crisis, shouldn't think they can get a bargain from us. We don't have to sell anyone below their value."

https://www.skysports.com/football/...not-stand-in-the-way-of-potential-summer-exit

Makes me think they're just waiting for Sancho to publically agitate for the move so it looks like it's out their hands.
MUFC makes an "official bid", Sancho tells Dortmund he wants the move and to accept the offer, leaks to the media that Sancho has asked for the move. Dorttmund get to blame Sancho for not being loyal. We get Sancho.

I agree. Let's not buy anyone. Our squad is as good as the other usual suspects fighting for the title already.

Sack Ole, the flawed, smelly bastard. Haha, he even needs great players to hide his flaws.
I mean, look at Guardiola, Klopp and Pochettino! Managers without flaws, who don't even need world class talent to challenge.

Yep because we all know Dortmund speak nothing but the truth regarding their players and transfer activity, as they've proven throughout the years.

I'm thinking there's a lot more to this than the clubs are telling the media
Did I say anything like that? Someone thought it significant that there haven't been more media responses from Germany, I explained why that's probably the case. Nothing more nothing less.

The same clear answer you gave when we signed Kagawa and Mkhi.
What are you referring to with Kagawa?

I assume this is sarcasm. We are so far short of a title challenging squad it is ridiculous. We have basically no decent centre half and neither of our full backs can cross the ball consistently. We also lack a world class manager and those flaws are clear to be seen no matter who we sign. We really need three or four new players just to remain in the mix for top 4.

Jaysus. What a way to be launching into the new season! You've been too long watching Westmeath, I think. All the hope and joy has been beaten out of you.

My question bis what are we doing if not this? Cause right now Ole has next to no chance at really closing the gap or even keeping up with Chelsea.

Doubt he is happy to just wrote the season off.

Every transfer now seems to have personal terms agreed before a bid is placed. Isn't that tapping up? Or is that not a thing anymore?
I suppose you have to know if the player will agree to come and For what price ( Wages) it's pretty clear what Dortmund will except for the fee so that's the easier part I would imagine.

Good point actually I hadn't consciously registered that, especially with all these tweets confirming personal terms for pretty much every transfer now. Feels like the last "tapping up" issue was Pool chasing Van Dijk where they apologised in the end.

Usually circumvented by talking to the agent rather than the player themselves.

How do a self respecting adult spew such garbage? Even on the internet.

Every club does it, the only time people get upset is when its so blatantly public like VVD.

Of course they'll say that. We've never made an offer or even possibly gotten in contact with their team. The fact that we're in touch with Sancho's agents means that this deal is still on.

The only way this deal isn't on is for the following reasons:
  • We're lying the whole time.
  • We're tapping up Sancho.
I don't expect any other response than the ones coming out of Dortmund and Germany. They will stand defiant and say there is no chance.

It has hallmarks of when Ronaldo was being touted to leave us. We never wanted to sell. Fergie laughed it off and said we'd never sell Ronaldo to that "mob". He said he wouldn't even sell Real Madrid a virus. Eventually Utd accepted they had to let the boy go as he really wanted to.

Similarly, if we do bid the 120m Euro, I still think Dortmund will reject it BUT only change their mind if Sancho requests that he wants to leave this summer and effectively hands a transfer request in. My fear is if he doesn't request it, then this deal won't happen this summer. However, I feel more convinced that he will agitate for a move if the bid comes in that they're looking for because he's apparently got involved to resolve the agent fees issue which suggests he really wants to push the move through.

Criticise the defence all you like, but we had the best clean sheet record in EUROPE. Haters ignore that stat, and dismiss it. Second to that, our most obvious cause for concern was our goalkeeper position and we've just added one of the best keepers in the league from last season to challenge DDG. We've added a genuinely talented midfielder to our squad meaning we've got better depth. We can now rotate our midfield without worrying about inferiority.

We might not have a world class manager, we yet might have... you and I don't know, it's open to debate.

Anyway, glad you're happy and enjoying football.
