@buchansleftleg - that needs to be Sanchos unveiling video with the Sancho and co being pallbearers, the coffin bearing Dortmund colours and flowers on top spelling "You love to see it":wenger:

Folk need to calm down. This is a football transfer. I'm not trying to cause psychotic breaks. I do not care to be known as an ITK, I'm strictly not one. In fact, I find it laughable that those muppetiers keep scrambling to copy what I say (and pm me on here). I'm merely passing on info I have on a United dealing, which I have never gotten before. It's meant to be for the benefit of us Muppets, not the detriment.
Just like that Reddit muppets group, the rule of thumb is this: if you bring attention to yourself with ITK claims, you’re gonna be scrutinized and questioned. Deal with it rather than throwing a tizzy.

I could smell a con artist from 1000 miles away and I knew @altodevil was one with his post. Cocks out tonight he says   . Similar to the way I can smell Ole. This upcoming season is for Ole to prove me wrong as he clearly didn’t last season. Sancho, Bruno, Mason, or one of our many other world class talent will be his Ronaldo and hide his flaw if we meet my expectations I can imagine. We have a top squad that should be challenging for titles.

I know a manager that could get us titles

People wanting the club to cough up 120 millions and whatever agent's fee for Sancho are mad. This is the problem with the Caf and overrating players we are linked to. Sancho is a good player with potential to being great if not world class but in no way is he worth those stupid numbers Dortmund are quoting and if they aren't willing to put in a reasonable price then we should look elsewhere.

Also bringing up Bundesliga numbers to hype players shouldn't be allowed. Bundesliga produce some of the most misleading numbers which never add up to player's actual level. Seen all of Miki etc have ridiculous numbers in the Bundesliga to then utterly fail elsewhere.

Also after watching both England games, Sancho is clearly overrated on these boards. This place has somehow convinced itself that he is world class, generational talent and all the over used words the Caf love throwing around for any existing talent out there. Kid is good with loads to prove and improve, but he isn't 120 million worth, that's just absurd and I command the club for not splashing such ridiculous amount on him. After seeing all these 100+ millions transfers bomb recently, no club should be dumb enough to easily splash that amount.

Dortmund themselves have already fleeced another club(Barca) charging them 100+ for a player who ended up turning into an utter disaster. People ought to learn from history, not ignore it.

If no reasonable price then we move on and we should probably do that by now given the season is about to start and we should be finding a top guy to play on our RW.
Amen

Cool. While you’re at it, can you give us some alternative supposedly top guys for RW as you suggested?

Any poster has an absolute right to question the sense in paying 120mil for a player who still has much to prove and has little in the way of accolades behind his name to this point.

For a player over 80mil we should be paying for a player who has already won some silverware in his career.

Why is he worth 120 mil, because Dortmund said so?? Ousmane even with injuries and Kingsley are better players in my opinion but would not cost anywhere near that amount. Let them keep him another year at least and watch the fee halve.
Spot on @Clermontois - although I'd rather get Kingsley than Ousmane, he seems like he's wasted his talent in Barcelona.

People questioning Sancho's talent need to stop watching football. The guy is producing better numbers than KDB was in the Bundesliga, at a younger age ! Look at KDB now, possibly the 3rd best player in the world playing for our rivals. We cannot miss out on players like Sancho anymore, he fits the bill in literally every aspect. We pulled out of the Hazard deal back in the day as well, another player who ended up being fantastic for one of our rivals. There simply is no alternative for that RW position. It is Sancho or bust. There is a reason why Ole has declared him as our number one target this summer. There are no other "top guys" in that position. Sancho has all the attributes to make it as a top RW in any league. His close control is some of the best I have ever seen.

His name is Mason Greenwood and if he wasn’t playing for United, he would be worth nearly the same as Sancho. I would suggest we get Traore, Dembele, or Coman to cover for Greenwood if we need to strengthen that area this window. We don’t have a rw problem. We only have a rw problem in terms of depth in that position. If we get Sancho we will have undoubtedly the best attack in world football. At the moment, we are in the top 5 or 3.

Great post. I am very much a Sancho in muppet than not. But people on here need to get realistic. For Manchester United to spend 120 million this summer is a big deal, because the club will struggle to make that kind of money in the next 6 months. He is potentially world class. But no one spends 120 million on potential. If I was Dortmund, I would take 50-70 million for Sancho now. Because no club will afford that kind of money in 6 months time. Some people will say am talking nonsense. But look at Real Madrid now. Who is going to pay 300k a week subsidised wages for Bale now? No chance. Dortmund could keep Sancho now but in a few months he could walk away for free. What's the point? Just take a reasonable amount now or nothing in a year's time. Hopefully Ed knows what he is doing.

Coman on loan until Sancho is a free agent. Easy decision. Or Wilfred Zaha on a discount. We have our 25% sell on fee you know. Sancho is not the only right winger in the world right now.

Well now after reading the last few posts I dont even want him anymore.

Can we change the thread title to "Que Sera, Sera"? Or "You'd kinda love to see it, but its okay if it doesn't"?

I mean your opinion about overspending is fair enough but Wilfred Zaha? I think that’s a really not good suggestion, to be brutally honest

Also, loaning Conan until summer 2023? Who would agree to that?

A way to look at it is that we have essentially filled two of our front line positions with academy players. We could end up with the most sensational collection of forwards around for a total of £109mil+ whatever Martial ends up costing, so let’s say £160-170mil. Works out around £40mil per player; we’d end up paying much more to assemble the talent we’d have if we went to the transfer market each time.

What a laughable post.

Atletico spent similar amount in Felix. Barca on dembele, PSG on Mbappe. Don't know where you come up with that.

Dortmund should accept 50-70m now. Why? If Sancho keeps producing the numbers, he will be 150m player in 2 years time.

He will walk away for free? In a few months? 24 months is a few months?

You are definitely talking nonsense.

Do people really think that if Utd spends 120m on a player, they will go bankrupt? Are the people incharge of utd's finances that dumb to sanction such a deal if that was a real possibility?

Clearly utd have had enough time to plan since the pandemic and are playing their cards carefully.

Who would object to United paying £160mil to have that forward line potentially with us for ten years or more? I would call that a pretty spectacular bit of squad building tbf to the club if they pull it off.

He is also expecting that only Utd will be the only suitors for Sancho when he is a free agent.

I think I'd rather sancho this summer and spend little money next summer, Zaha or Coman have good days but too many off days, Traore isn't even worth looking at, if sancho isn't signed i bet we sign no one,

This is just a load of cock. Sancho is decent, full of potential, that's about it.
He's no George Best.

Clearly you don't know anything about finance and economics. I hope your company doesn't hire you for anything to do with finance related.

Sancho is just 'decent'? He's clearly in the top 10 of players in the world, in his position, probably even top 5.
When you rule out unavailable players/impossible transfers, he is the best signing we could possibly make. Bar none.
