Resistance was a good game back in the day but it was the only game worth playing for the first few months.

If motorstorm (the first motorstorm) had split screen I'd have loved it. As it was I got very bored not being able to play with mates.

I feel surprisingly lucky, I expected it to be much more difficult to secure a preorder, I honestly expected something similar to Jingle all the way.
I cancelled the game preorder today. I was going to keep it for a few weeks just incase there was an issue with Argos, but my better half was distinctly unimpressed by the concept of preordering two PS5s (especially as Argos took payment upfront) even though Game probably wouldn't charge me
Might help someone else get one anywayI also have a preorder for Spiderman and Cyberpunk (neither of which will be charged until release day) so touch wood that is all my PS5 purchases done til Christmas!
Holy shit. I forgot about this game. It really felt next gen at the time. I remember thinking how good and shiny it looked. On PS4 launch day I bought killzone and that was utterly shite. Spent most of my time replaying The Last of Us (remastered) until something decent came out!
I for one am glad we have instant backwards compatibility and Spider-Man/Cyberpunk/Demon’s souls. Feels like a treat!

I didn't get a PS4 at launch as I never liked Killzone and didn't see much worth playing.
But I really liked Resistance on PS3, particularly the setting of a UK torn apart by an alien invasion.

Last time i bought a console on release was a Dreamcast. With Sonic Adventure and Power Stone.
In Czech Republic you have to wait until February 21, however on the plus side you can get the controller from November, so at least I can hold that for a few months

Do we know how much memory will be reserved by the system? Guessing total space for games and stuff will be around 700GB maybe?
Seems quite small for what’s meant to be next gen.
SSD is expensive I think but yeah 1TB minimum you’d expect really.

You could also use the PS4 external storage. Download PS5 games on there and move them when you want to play them or waiting for future DLC. That’s a good option for single player games

I also preordered both! I ended up going for the ultimate edition for Spider-Man, I played a bit of the first Spider-Man but never finished it, so thought why not. I don’t think there’s anything else that’ll come out this side of Christmas that interests me. Obviously I’ll pick up Fifa moneymaker 21 at release and maybe look at Hitman in the new year.
Think that might be a good day one game for me then to be honest. I bet this will be visually amazing too!
Edit: also I know everyone says he launch titles are not great but I actually think I’d be happy to play them all. I’d love to find time to try demon souls at some point too.

Yeah I've not played Spiderman myself yet so an upgraded version for PS5 + MM is a good launch day title for me, alongside Demon's Souls. Will probably pick up Cyberpunk around Xmas.
