The notion is absurd, but it's certainly the reality.

We need 2-3 years to pass before Klopp and Liverpool reach the end of their natural cycle.
They've been in this cycle since they won the CL 2 years ago, it remains to be seen how they cope with this season, and more importantly next season. Keeping up the level of performance they've had for 4 years is incredibly unlikely, even Fergie struggled with that.

Nah Liverpool will be fine because they'll fob off the domestic cups early and the inhalers will see them stay in good nick, after having a decent rest from last season. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Everton battling for 2nd though.
Regrettably I have to agree with you. Unless they massively feck up, title is theirs to lose (Liverpool)

Could Arsenal win it this year if they get a couple of more signings?

Seems like way more penalties than normal this year, there's the handballs obv but any contact in the box and they're being given left right and centre.

Sadly another league title to be wrapped up by Liverpool with about 8 games to spare. Their so called challengers simply aren't good or consistent enough to mount a challenge.

To be honest, the league's best teams have always been like this. Liverpool have just been more or less faultless for the last two seasons. 90+ points a season is not normal. Surely, it isn't sustainable.

Aouar and Partey would give us a shot at top four. Without them, we will lack the creativity/steel in the midfield.

Don't see a title bid happening. Arteta is already getting the best out of a rather average group of players...

That’s completely bonkers. I speculate that home advantage is reversed because the home side are disturbed psychologically because they don’t have the home crowd behind them. It doesn’t feel right for them.
All of the studies I've seen on the subject seem to downplay the role of the crowd on performance almost entirely. I've seen claims that the crowd accounts for less than 2% of the variance in performance.

But we're going to have a lot more very high quality data after this period of empty stadia, and so far it does seem to point to a big effect size for crowds. I wouldn't be surprised if your explanation for the phenomenon was the best one.

We may not be able to do it but we can't just assume that Liverpool would continue at current level or even if they do that they can't be surpassed, it would require something extraordinary from us and some tough decisions need to be made but we can't just keep writing off season's .
This season may be too early but next season we got to challenge.

Just seen the results. Honestly anything can happen in this league. Leicester putting 5 past City I did not expect at all!

I guess all football fans will have to calm down and accept the rocky ride to the start of the season.

Seems like? You'd be right there.

There's been 21 in the 24 games.

Can't remember the stat but there was a fair few less in the first 30 games last season.

It doesn't affect performance too much but it has a big affect on the refs doesn't it?

Weren't they shown to be much fairer towards away sides since there were no crowds?
