We all love United
I will drive this train straight to the station. We’ve suffered some horrific abuse, eggs thrown at our window and been labelled deluded fools.

But I will use my years of experience of driving The Great Muppet Express to get us through this one.

All anti-muppets should be banned from the Sancho thread when he signs next week! Can’t enjoy the cake they’ve been pissing on.
I am with you mate. And i am going to rip into the German posters on here if this goes through

You love to see it!

if this deal does go though it begs the question: are we just morons for taking this long to do the deal, or is this the way Dortmund wanted it.
Waiting for the new financial quarter, this has been reported for the past 1.5 months but muppets have been ignoring it.

This has been discussed at length during this thread over last months.

My conclusion is Woody was banking on the BVB's fear of economic fall out from covid19 2nd wave would make them blink and accept a lower offer. That requires us to submit a very very late offer, so they have to make a pressurised decision while looking at a massive cheque sitting on there desk. And if BVB manage to resist, we are still be able to sign alternatives like Sarr or Brooks as PL/Championship window stays open for 10 days longer.

So do we think the fee will be what Dortmund have demanded all along or less? I’m voting less.
I think we'll pay what they want. Which is what we've been prepared to do all window in my opinion.

Us/Dortmund have just disagreed on the structure of the payments.

This will probably be another Woodward masterstroke like the AWB deal

Woody and Judge can’t even tie their own shoelaces
Nothing to do with Woodward, Judge is the chief negotiator.

Woodward just oversees everything and gets final say.

But Judge is the man who does the negotiating

So if this is true, then there is obviously some credence in Luckhursts report last week that we want to push this into the next financial quarter.. also makes sense why it’s taken so long.

Only thing that makes me doubt this is that we’d have clearly let Dortmund know that’s what was happening and why would they insist that he was staying if this was the case

Sancho bid: Next week, this summer's big transition saga will have a decision: Will Jadon Sancho be in Dortmund or will Ole Gunnar Solskjær get his first choice?

On Sunday, Dagbladet is informed that United is preparing a bid which will be sent to Dortmund in the next few days.

Dagbladet does not know the size of the alleged bid or whether Dortmund will accept this, but several British media have this weekend claimed that the bid will be 90 million pounds. In that case, it is 18 million pounds below Dortmund's alleged price tag.

Dortmund has since the alleged deadline of 10 August claimed that Sancho will be in Germany, but Dagbladet has received confirmation from several sources that the clubs have still been in negotiations after the alleged deadline expired.

Therefore, United will still believe that there are both opportunities and time left to sign Sancho, Dagbladet is informed. This despite the fact that there are only days left before the window closes on October 5.

Solskjær himself is said to have told Sancho that he expects the transfer to go smoothly, while Sancho himself is said to have expressed that he wants to join United.

@Zoo beat me to it. Nothing new in this article in my opinion. But it’s on.

From Dagbladet:

- Sancho bid: Next week, this summer's big transfer saga will have it’s conclusion: Will Jadon Sancho stay at Dortmund or will Ole Gunnar Solskjær get his man?

On Sunday, Dagbladet was informed that United is preparing a bid which will be sent to Dortmund in the next few days.

Dagbladet does not know the size of the alleged bid or whether Dortmund will accept this, but several British media have this weekend claimed that the bid will be 90 million pounds. In that case, it is 18 million pounds below Dortmund's alleged price tag.

Ever since the alleged deadline of 10 August, Dortmund have claimed that Sancho will stay in Germany, but Dagbladet has received confirmation from several sources that the clubs have nevertheless been in negotiations after the alleged deadline expired.

Therefore, United will continue to believe that there are both opportunities and time left to sign Sancho, Dagbladet is informed.

Solskjær himself is said to have told Sancho that he expects the transfer to go smoothly, while Sancho himself is said to have expressed that he wants to join United.

To keep the interest in the transfer going? Really have no idea, but if it is to do with the financial quarter, then surely Dortmund would know thats what we were doing.
Also makes sense as to why we've not briefed that we're done and moved on. We shall see this week, but things seem to be heating up tonight it seems with the reports coming out (as sketchy as they seem at the moment)

So the credibility being Dagbladet have close ties with OGS or his people, hence that is their source?

Howard has spoked

If it's true, and we're putting a bid in, we finally get to see just how much COVID has affected them, as even if it's £90m or close to €100m, then i doubt they'd reject it. Thats a fair whack to compensate for what they've lost due to COVID. Lets see i suppose

As I’ve insisted all along. We will pay exactly what Dortmund has asked for.

As soon as Utd briefed James Cooper that there would not be a last minute desperation of paying the asking price like they did with Bruno and Maguire....I knew straight away that’s exactly what we would do. We are shit at negotiating. We are shit at bluffing. We pay what you want. Name your price and we’ll pay it. This nonsense that we can’t afford a player is exactly that, nonsense.
