Yeah. Let's see how long you last looking at the cheque, knowing we'll just spunk it on Dembele instead.
Considering that Dortmund would participate in the case of a Dembele transfer, he has to be the worst player to use as a threat. I mean that would just be giving Dortmund free money.

Deary me.
Yeah, I'm digging VDB. I like his hustle and he seems to be really decisive as to where he wants to go with the ball... I think he will work in well with the team, but I would love to see him and Pogba and maybe Bruno with a bit more time under their belts.

Shock horror, 3 minutes after Fab posted that a bid hadn’t been tabled. UK journalists come out with similar from their “sources”

and yet he retweeted this 20 mins before

Can you imagine being a professional and doing that? Completely discredits himself and the paper instantly
To be fair the story says we have reportedly submitted and bid, which is true, in that it has been reported as such. McDonnell is then claiming that his source is telling him otherwise.

Potentially wasted £40 million on Van De Beek (early days, obviously, but I see nothing special so far), and now we cannot afford Jadon Sancho.

You couldn't make this up.... Welcome to the new Manchester United.

£91,000,000

That is an eye watering amount of money at any time, let alone in the middle of this uncertain pandemic which has has an enormous impact in the football industry.
While BVB might refuse today, does anyone really think they can maintain that posture til October 6th?

£91,000,000 cheque staring you in the face. Think of all the things you can do with that. Are you really going to say Nein?

He has not played much, granted, but I have seen nothing so far in Van De Beek to think has the quality to make a difference to this team.
By your own admission he hasn’t played much but you’ve seen nothing to make you think he has quality. Erm, that’s cause you’ve not seen him play much.

Dortmund brief confirmed
In his actual Tweets, he mentions that he has no knowledge of both the Sancho and Dembele situations for United. He's not necessarily outright denying them.

Translation:
I do not know if that is true. I also do not know if there is truth in the rumors that Ousmane Dembele will replace Sancho.

Erm.... I've seen him play a few times for his previous club. Nothing stood out to say he will make it at this club. All I've seen so far from him is giving the ball away nearly every time he gets it, great start. Take the rose tinted ones off, we have better players than him and we are still getting nowhere fast.

Sancho, he HAS stood out at his club, so why not go all in?
