I know I am not alone by been pig-bored with yet another excruciating transfer saga that looks like it is going the same way as the Fabregas farce. Why are we putting all our eggs in the Sancho basket, when we could get Dembele on loan with an option to buy. Potentially Dembele is a more exciting prospect, albeit the big 'but' is his injury issues.

What I cannot for the life of me understand is why we did not negotiate a fee with Dortmund in advance, even unofficially, before sorting out agents fees and personal terms. I mean talk about putting the cart before the horse. I mean we have spent all this time setting this deal up only to not be able to pay the Dortmund asking price. We continue to act as utter amateurs in the transfer market and I am just totally fed up and angry at the way we conduct our business.

Can't wait for this kind of news to end...
Looking forward to it myself.

After the latest deal is dead news out of Germany I knew the next day we'd get these "still on going" tweets.

With no "briefs" they keep reviving this. We may be trying to get another deal done and make it look like we have the choice of pulling the trigger on Sancho or go for another player if the deal is right. If we announce to all reporters Sancho deal is off like before we set ourselves up for a fleecing elsewhere. Really it would seem we're waiting for the shopkeeper to say "wait on my fine fellow" but I doubt that is coming.

Purely to strengthen our hand. Means that we could go to Dortmund and say the player wants to leave, therefore easier to negotiate a fair price.

But woodward forgets that you still need to respect the position of the selling club and they thought they were being mugged off.

Jesus, talk about flogging a dead horse. This ones over time to shut it down now, it’s clear these wankers in charge have no intention of spending what’s required to sign Sancho despite pretending wasting all fecking window chasing him. :houllier:

Club’s fecked with these parasites in control

can’t sign players

can’t sell players

cant let unsupported managers win a treble within 2 years before getting sacked and then we have to get rid of previous managers’ players before signing new players. Yes, we know weve spent a fair bit but ffs, what is the point of hiring a boss who isn’t given a free hand to finish the job. There is so much dross to get rid of for a new boss, he needs a big spend and we still get dicks saying we’ve been given a big budget. Our requirements are greater than City, dippers etc and will continue to be so, whilst we are giving Jones, de Gea massive 5 year contracts. Never ending circle. fecking clueless ownership on the football side... or maybe, not so clueless. All part of the profit plan. The manager appointments haven’t been perfect but ffs, if there was a perfect manager, he wouldn’t have a chance here.

dof? Don’t make me laugh. Still subject to exactly the same shit. I’m even thinking Ed is equally shackled. It isn’t his money. Thumbs up or thumbs down comes from Florida. We are just one of their interests that combine to a bottom line. They are not emotionally invested in the club.... and to think, we thought the Louis Edwards/Busby/Martin Edwards arrangement was cosy.

Really beginning to give up on his lot, just like the FCUM lads did. They were spot on.

More important things in life than United but fecking hell, it would leave a bit of a vacuum.

The agent doesn't seem to be pushing for the move does he.

If it was Raiola or that Jonathan Barnett, they'd be in the media slagging Dortmund right off.

Surely the agent stands to make far more money from a deal with us than any other club. (Even despite our haggling over the commission)

Why? We don't pay more than other big clubs.

The same agent who agreed with 1 year extension last summer? Good luck with him even trying anything, Dortmund would probably just tell him to feck off and keep spending that extension fee.

We aren't willing to pay up, when we wanted pogba we paid 100mn, when madrid wanted bale they paid the 100mn. Everyone keeps talking about how dembele was sold even after denying the sale would happen fail to remember that barca paid close to 130mn+ for him.

United is not a football club anymore. It's a bussiness a company. It goes from owners through board to players. No desire, no passion no results.

In terms of transfer windows, this has to be the most disappointing one I can remember in a longtime. In fact, this might be worse than the one where we only signed Fellaini an hour before deadline.

Yep

At least that summer we were champions, we wasn’t too know how bad things would get at the time.

This summer we needed recruitment, you can see the progress over the last 12 months and all that work is being thrown out if the window.

Nah, that one was desperate. Wasnt that the summer with Vidal and Kroos, and we ended up with Fellaini and Moyes. Nothing can ever be worse than that

Only saving grace is Donny Van De Beek is a quality player and way better than Fellaini. But that's it. Has been shambolic. Hope everyone is ready for a rocky season. The worst thing is Ed Woodward and co won't get any pressure due to no fans in the stadium for this season

The fact he’ll be flying to England Monday just allows sky to drag this out right until the last second

Even this dude has changed his tune
Probably because when all is said and done, he has as much of a clue of whats going on as we all do.
This will be settled one way or another in 2 days... thank feck!

Somewhere in your mind, touching a nerve
I know we will all be disappointed if we don’t sign him but I would not advocate spending 120m euros on any one player in this climate. It’s just an insane amount of money to spend on a player unless they are Ronaldo or Messi in their prime. feck Dortmund and their valuation but they are well within their rights as are we to not pay those insane amounts.

This might be the best thing in favor of a transfer window.

Think the players stay in the 'bubble' with the pandemic.
He could do his medical with England. His agent would deal with all the contracts and stuff.

I don't think its going to happen but being on International duty won't be the thing that stops it.

Yeah that’s probably what will happen if necessary.

To the Calum thread?

This club can't be serious about being competitive in the UCL. Jadon would be a massive start towards that.
