Our world class coaching team will slow down his progress no doubt.

Or he may take to it like a duck to water! We shall see. Looks exciting anyhow.
From all the YouTube clips I watched he is like Mata. A creative wide playmaker.

I hope he takes the EPL by storm but OGS seems slow to implement a player into a team. Look how long it is taking for DVB to get minutes with the first team, currently, he has less that 60 minutes with the first team. He is currently with the fringes but performing well and better than the current first 11.

We all love United
This is kind of weird. We signed Cavani, Telles and this kid but we are yet to see them pose with the shirt! What are the marketing department doing? Give us some pictures!

That is actually my worry. Not so much the ones who coach the younger players it is if he comes into contact with the first team coaches. Dan James looked good at Swansea.

One thing that strikes me from his Youtube clips is that he seems like he’s quite a tenacious player. He plays with real bravery, going into areas where he’s obviously going to get kicked without apparent fear. He might not be physically ready for PL yet, but this quality will serve him well if he is going to be a success for us.

With 4 new signings at the last minute, I bet the objective was just to get them through the line

It would have been a very big and brave call to immediately drop Pogba to make way for DVB but I think Pogba is making that decision easier with every game right now. DVB will be a regular soon I reckon.

Pellistri looks exciting though, and really, if he's good enough he'll be in the team asap.

The signing of Pellistri and Amad maybe a sign of 4-3-2-1 to be permanent main formation for Ole.

I'd expect this kid to compete with Greenwood on the right.

Try and take away all the bollocks regarding Sancho and signing these 2 youngsters is very exciting.

I'd expect this kid to make the position his own, as he seems a natural winger and has a lot more trickery than Greenwood.

Moving on, I expect Greenwod to take Martial's spot in a year or two.

It would not have been brave. Pogba was not match fit and just had COVID. Phasing in Pogba would have been the appropriate thing to do.

Pogba did not play well at all in any of the games bar the Brighton Carabaro game where I think Brighton gave up by then.

DVB should have been playing as he is the only player that was closest to being match fit compared to Bruno and Pogba.

“Pellistri has huge potential,” Forlan said in April. “There is still a lot to work on. He is growing and he makes the difference.
Forlan himself said he is not ready and there's a lot of development required. He is not ready to fully take the Uruguayan's league by storm but he will do it for us in EPL?

I liked this transfer, but not sure he is ready for first team yet.
He will push for the first team right away, because Andreas had left, Chong on loan, Martial suspended, and Amad not here until Jan.

I'd hope he will hit the ground running on first team training, at the very least.

He probably won’t even feature in the first team this year, there is no point saying he will displace anyone. James will still start the majority of games.

We won't see him for a while. OGS said it he needs to adapt to the English league.
And it means he will play (no other ways to adapt exist), just with limited expectations for the adaptation period

I disagree, Pogba was obviously deemed match fit and it would have been a very brave move in my opinion to replace one the biggest, if not THE biggest name / personality in that dressing room with a newcomer. I think DVB will be a starter in the next match regardless, Pogba's performances can't be ignored now. Whether or not DVB is as good a player or as talented as Pogba, his effort and fitness are next level. I like him already.

Adapting to the league takes time; u21s it is
To be fair you don't really adapt to the league if you aren't playing in it, though.

Hopefully he can make the bench for Newcastle, and if we're comfortably up (a man can dream) he could see an introduction as that's right before PSG. But it'll depend how he looks in training.

Let me rephrase. Adapting to the country, conditions, playing style. Getting settled etc

It you think some chap coming from the Uruguayan league is going to start straight away, then you’re a small bit deluded.
Haha. It's not that. It's just the thought of DJ being the first choice right winger beggars belief. Plus I think the Uruguayan guy will be rubbish anyway.
