So if Liverpool lose this derby after getting pumped 7-2 the previous game by Villa will every pundit and there dog plus all those social media accounts be hounding them and klopp like they do when we lose a game of football ?
Well no, because they won the league and the CL recently and they will easily be in the top 2 this season as well as contenders for the CL.

Ole and United on the other hand, barely made the top 4 last season and barely beat Brighton (lucky win is an understatement) whilst losing to both Spurs and Crystal Palace at home conceding 11 goals in 3 matches :)

I dont think theyll easily be top 2 at all. This side has a lot of miles in its legs and its going into the maddest schedule we have ever seen.
Theyve at least dropped levels defensively and the vast majority of their win last year were built on that.

Excuses Klopp and Pep get by media for their losses or poor form is weird considering even Sir alex , prime Wenger or Prime Jose didn't get one. I remember when we lost 6-1 to city, media trolled us and there were questions over sir alex management.

We finished 3rd mate. How can you barely make the top 4? Doesn't even make sense.

How Pickford is still on the pitch is beyond me. We’re going to struggle massively without VVD and Alisson.

Adrian should've easily saved that corner. Not having that he didn't have time to react.

Offside or not, Pickford is a lucky boy.
Its nonsense right? If a player punches another player but one of them was offside they'd still get sent off and rightly so. If two players chase a ball and slide into the barrier and then one kicks the other, he'd be punished and rightly so. Players get sent off after the whistle for insulting the referee.

What kind of nonsense ruling was Pickford allowed just then to get away with it?

He would have been free compared to us spending over a hundred million pounds on our current collection of centre backs.
Besides the point again. Still not good enough

Still laughing at how Pickford is still on the pitch. Complete brutality, that tackle. Would expect to see that in a Mortal Kombat game.

We needed a win on the last day to make it into the top 4. That is the definition of barely making it.

I am stunned Pickford wasn't sent off, was he even given a yellow for that 'challenge'? Another bewildering decision by VAR.
Nothing to do with VAR. Under the rules a tackle is judged as "serious foul play" rather than "violent conduct", which means the offside negates it. Whereas a light and inoffensive slap wouldn't have been negated by the offside and would have seen Pickford sent off.

It's a stupid rule but there's not much the refs can do about that.

Literally discussing this with my mate 10 minutes ago. Just goes to show VAR ain't anywhere perfect yet. Irrespective of the offside, the referee should see that again at half time and send him off. Van Dijk is lucky his left isn't in half.

Disgraceful keeper. Not even sure he received a yellow?

They can't say that the offside prevented it. It there was a freekick somewhere on the pitch and play had stopped, then two players had an punch up in the background, they would get punished.

Ah, good explanation. That's a dumb rule. Dumb, dumb rule.

Adrian is so bad, Liverpool would be about 6th if they had him in goal until January.

Actually fancy Everton to win this, getting back to 1-1 quickly was mentally huge for them and they've played well since.

Richarlison dosen't half make some awful decisions in final third in games like this though.
