Neymar is literally the definition of being able to cope with pressure! I’m not sure how closely you have followed his career, but he’s had the weight of a nation on his shoulders since before his senior club debut and it hasn’t phased him one bit.
I think both of you are saying the same thing. Anyone banking of pressure on both of them is wasting their time.

    feck, i'm nervous.

I think it will be a drubbing. Can't see our 2nd rate defence coping with neymar, di maria and mbappe.

I also think starting both Pogba and Matic in midfield is a disaster! Both are so immobile, we need a runner in there like Fred.

PSG arent that mobile through the middle. If we play well we could overpower them in midfield.

Why isn't Tuanzebe in the lineup when you pick your selection here.

Exactly right. If we are going to counter attack, speed and mobility are essential.

    My wit's end
McTominay plays as the RCB in a back 3 for Scotland. He's also played there for United at least five or six times. So I can see why people are selecting him for that position tonight.

But I can't remember any occasions when Shaw has played as the LCB in a back 3. I agree that he'd be well suited to the role, but I'm just not seeing any precedents the way McTominay has.

I'd be surprised if Ole threw Shaw into that position - for the first time - in a game this big.

God I hope you lot will hammer these cnuts. How have PSG starter their season? I'm sure they're top of the league, but are they 50 points clear yet?

edit: wow, they're not top of the league. Surely this bodes well for United's chances.

It's inevitable. My only comfort is that surely Pogba will have motivation to make at least some effort tonight - Paris, shop window etc.

Shaw has played LCB several times for United and excelled there. I actually think he is more competent in a back 3 than he is as a LB. Although I would be slightly worried about a back 3 of Lindelof, McT and Shaw.

Am I the only one who really doesn’t like Shaw as a third centre back? He’s caught out of position so often. Much rather just go 4 at the back with lindelof and axel.

Probably know the answer but would a back 3 of AWB Lindelof and Shaw not work. James and telles as wing backs. Could see ole wanting pace on the wings. Donny and Matic in the middle with Bruno behind rash and martial.

    De Gea

    AWB Lindelof Shaw

    James Donny Matic Telles

    Bruno

    Rashford Martial

Can't wait to here the CL music.

Honestly think we'll have them, Martial to come back all guns blazing to make sure he doesn't lose his spot in the league.

    AWB--McT--Lindelof--Shaw--Telles

    VDB--Matic--Fernandes

    Martial--Rashford

Flat 3 midfield digging in when necessary and getting us on going forward when we have the ball.

Eeerrrmmmmm....... Martial is banned in the league anyway
Thats what I mean. He's got to use these opportunities to impress.

Based on his performances this season so far and given his 3 match ban, it would relatively easy for somone to take his spot for while.

Martial usually turns up when his position is under threat

Just going to enjoy this. Missed being in it, toughest game of group and would take a draw. I'd go 352 and have Telles in
Anything less than a 2 nil win is beneath us. Yes i've been spoiled by the fergie years.

Shaw’s played there a handful of times, pretty decent results. But I can’t remember who was immediately to his right.

Yeah, my response was that it might not matter what he does tonight, if anything, if Cavani turns up and scores In every game he plays in, Martial won’t start many games for us as a number 9

    Not nervous at all.

No crowd to get behind them. It’ll be a glorified friendly :D
