I love Ole to bits- he’s improved our squad massively in my opinion but he has to go. This can’t go on

The sign of poor management is not recognising who the poor performers in the team and whipping them off. Taking Fernandes off before Pogba on its own is unforgivable. I mean I would not expect that from a rubbish Football Manager player. You can see Pogba is having a 3/10 performance, so get rid. In the end the only creator was subbed when we needed him on the pitch.
Bruno was awful as well. It should have been Bruno and Pogba for Van de Beek and cavani. Rashford goes left. Greenwood on the right with Donny behind Cavani

bruno was worse than pogba today outside of the pen. in the end they were both set up to fail because of oles terrible tactics.

Pogba and Bruno horrible. Maguire man of the match for me, and McTominay decent as well.

I like OGS as a person but I've lost all faith in him as a manager...there is no development or clear direction..we jump from system and approach constantly...we have the most clumbersome United side in a long timewe run less than most teams and we hardly have players that can win 1 vs 1 duels...and then there is Pogba...a player that does not give an effort or gives a feck about delivering as a player..keeping that wanker on the field was a disgrace

Poor again against a poor Arsenal side, who did bugger all in 2nd half bar get a pen. That's how poor a side can be set up, instead of getting at them play in front of them no change in play no chance of getting ball behind a poor defence . Absolutely played into there hands. There is nothing wrong in going long with the ball if it is a must.
You could see the CM were on the CM straight away no way through only in last ditch attempts they go longer and bar a lucky bounce off keepers head it's a own goal. Oles still got issues when teams defend in blocks. Progress one step back again. And as for Matics pen shout why no VAR look? Plainly taken out no ball played at all! These have been given more than once, VAR is suggestive same as refs then get rid of it. Gabriel should have been off as well, ref Mr Bean bottled it again, if there's a crowd in OT has off 2nd yellow . Poor display by both teams but one is happier than the other.

You dont take off the tape thats holding together a defence with giant cracks in it. You take off other more defensive players and attacking players who arent performing. You still need 1 person to sit
I don’t disagree, but starting McT & Fred against a team like this, we’re effectively trotting our 10 v 11.

Our defense isn’t that bad as to where we need to waste an offensive player to be defensive. I posit that we just aren’t that good offensively yet to not start someone like VdB.

It’s the easy decision to sub the young player. How are people
Surprised. Greenwood is always the attacking sub regardless of performance.
I think it's just hard to take that both Greenwood and Fernandes went off and Pogba and McTominay stayed on.

Bruno wasn't great but we know he only needs one moment, and could have done with a bit of width near the end.

We really lost out tactically today, which was very discouraging.

We miss Martial his hold up play helps us get out from the back.
Agree could have done with that today, it seems though oles trying to shoe horn his best 11 into the team. The CL games have been better, cause he can use 5 subs.

Ole either doesn’t have the balls to drop him Pogba or he kept him on for the physical duel with Partey.
I think oles tactics are he has to play his best 11 he thinks! In CL he hasn't, because of the 5 subs, if it's 5 subs today, Pogba is benched, comes on when teams are getting more open, he cant defend that's 2 or 3 simlar pens he's given away, running back into box.

Same old bullshit. Good performance followed by a shite one. We'll never get back to the top until we find that consistency.
Correct, is Ole ever going to find the consistency needed? I still don't think he is going to be good enough. Our worse start to a top flight season for; how pigging long?

I've already made peace in my mind that if we want to seriously improve as a club and start challenging again, then Ole isn't the one who can take us there. He just hasn't got it in him to grind out the results or to take us up another level. We need a more inspirational character.
Agree has tactically out of his depth at times, Arsenal just kept leaving Maguire, and lindelof in possesion, surely he could see that! Them two aren't going to find a telling pass. I would have rather seen pogba or Bruno deeper so they could give him the ball, that pushes there CM further up . And the disappointing thing is this is a poor Arsenal side.

Yes it is. The only reason we've done better recently is because of having 2 DMs. Our CBs are weak without it

We also played some more attacking teams than the one we played today. I feel we could have achieved the same result today with one holding MF. Who knows what we could have done offensively with VdB in the lineup from the start?

Fred and his diabolical passing made a shite game even more frustrating. How must the rest of the squad feel when they watch him misplace pass after pass after pass?

Sad that any of the back line could have been m-o-m today.

Mctominay appeared to be terrified of passing the ball forward.

Pogba had a crap game then added his usual backtracking mistake in the mix to give away a stupid, senseless penalty.

Mason looked totally despondent, Rashy looked very average today.

Ole has to start Donny and Nemanja next match, surely. Scott and Fred looked like they would struggle to get into a fecking sunday league team at the moment.

    Pogba is a quandry.

Bruno looked like he was getting fed up of carrying the team today.

For me, Ole needs to take a step back and really study other tactical options, we take one step forward and then start to wobble every time.

Arsenal were very attacking today. Their front player Lacazette was always pressing, winning 3 tackles in the first half more than any United player in the entire game. And Saka intercepted 4 times on the left. So Arsenal were high up the pitch and attacking. We struggled to get past that initial press and bring our attacking players into the game.

rushed the pass constantly. Didn't start playing football until the last 15 mins. Arsenal deserved the win.

I dont understand why people keep saying we’ve been inconsistent this season.

We’ve been very consistent in the epl this season... with atrocious performances :)

    We’ve had 5 bad performances out of 6 :)

That’s why having one more linkup player in the midfield could have been beneficial. Compounding the same skill sets of both McT & Fred doesn’t always work. Arsenal was pressing, but not really that threatening in the first half & beginning the second.

It’s a philosophical difference we’re discussing. I say we should try it with one holding going forward as you can only draw if you don’t score.

We had 4 CMs across the midfield, there should have been passing options but Arsenal pressed high and our players struggled to find a good pass or control a pass when it came into them.

Utd under Ole are shit at scoring unless the other team leaves gapng holes in the back. A full attacking side like City PSG Leipzig we have a good chance of winning. If we played Atletico we would never win. We might get the odd 0-0.

This isn’t the first match with McT & Fred where we’ve had these issues. Yes, we did have four CMs, but two are woefully deficient in their offensive skills, that’s just not who they are. Having those two duplicate each other on many levels effectively makes us a 10 v 11 team offensively.

You’re giving a bit too much credit to Arsenal, we saw the same thing play out v. Toon & Chelsky. It’s as if Ole has tried the opposite of what happened v. Spurs, it worked in the CL, now it’s time to break up the McT / Fred duo for sake of some midfield offensive quality in the PL.

Flat performancs all round. All to slow, wrong formation and a horrendous first substitution.
Ole hasn't got many tricks up his sleeve whilst games are in play.
Really frustrated with us as there have been plenty of openings for a good start to a decent league campaign.

I don’t think you can play Fernandes and Pogba together - actually, on reflection, I don’t think you can play Pogba at all...

how low have arsenal fallen that they are celebrating like they won a trophy
    Come on, that’s an exaggeration.

I could ask how low are Man Utd that they’ve lost at home to Crystal Palace, Spurs and Arsenal. It must be galling for all those London based Utd fans.
